    That tube fixture is WAAAAY to far away for any effective amount of UVB to reach the lizard. I have solarmeters and test lights at different distances.

      That light fixtures is solely led. He has a heat/uvb bulb in his basking area. He also gets outside time weather permitting.

    Where did you find the logs and did you heat treat them?

      The logs I gathered when felling trees. They aren't heat treated as his enclosure is bioactive.

      I haven't been getting notifications for CZcams. I apologize for the late response. For this enclosure as I like it to be as natural as possible I used a mixture of 70/30 topsoil/playsand. I've also added sphagnum moss and leaves from my yard. For humidity and for the isopods.

      It's a mixture of playsand, topsoil, sphagnum moss and recently I've added lots of leaf litter.

    Is he a blue?

      He is yes although technically he's just s black and white as in most cases blue Salvator spp isn't a recognized subspecies of the black and white tegu Salvator merianae
