As a No Money Spent player, I HATE that the only way you can get the best cards in the game is in packs. Now if most of the packs are in Programs, Events, BR, etc: I would be fine with it. Unfortunately if I want to use Niko Goodrum I have to spend 100K stubs to have him. Luckily for me I have been blessed with packs this year. I pulled Shohei on like 3 days after launch and just recently pulled Mookie Betts. This TA better be the best one yet with 99's coming out. SDS needs to start listening to the MLB the Show community or this game will fall off fast.

@@veggieprodcheck swings are broken, foul balls are broken, pinpoint pitching is broken, numerous game breaking glitches & freeze offs, servers suck, exit velos & elevation on certain stadiums are broken/glitched. Not to mention the game is spammed with 103 MPH throwers EVERY SINGLE GAME.

Everything you said is spot on. I would also add the pin point pitching is crazy. I don’t know where the ball is going half the time and when I pitch it perfectly it’s either a ball or down the middle. I’m also tired of balls splitting the corner of the plate and it being called a ball 90% of the time.

Yeah I’ve legit had an at bat where I dotted the corner 4 times in a row for what should be a 50/50 pitch and walked the dude in 4 pitches

Even though it's better than most other sports games, I feel it's really been stagnating since 21/22. Most of the focus has been on Diamond Dynasty, and it's got me worried since I really don't want them to completely abandon singleplayer stuff like Madden and 2K have

Madden has a better franchise mode with more to do than just playing the games.
I remember how fun MLB the Show was for 21, especially as someone who despises playing online (I’m bad at the game😂) and spending money on the game. The way we received content and the way you were able to grind out so many fun programs that were coming out made it fun, even for offline players. I remember how enjoyable the grind was to get the 99 All Star Acuña and deGrom because it felt attainable without the need to spend money or go online. But now it just feels like SDS is taking the MUT route of paywalling every good card in the game, which is just a downer because that and the horrible presentation of the content this year have made this game virtually unplayable IMO.
I feel like theres too much for a casual player who wants to get involved with DD, i coach, work, and whenever i had a weekend to play, i dont know what to do because theres 40 more cards a week. It seems like a lot just to get nowhere
Same I feel like I either have to grind for cards (boring), or just play online ranked or BR (fun). I just got some decent cards - Rizzo, Braun, but I’ve only had time to play a few ranked games with them. Now there’s a bunch of programs with 99s out and it just makes me not want to play. I’m ok at the game, usually 700ish rating but I stop once everyone I face has better squads than me.
Same here between working and coaching softball after work, I get home and get on DD. Theirs just to much to do to keep up with, so us dad's get left behind
I'm 30...and just got into mlb. Coming from ea nhl...start looking at offline or find a new game...I hate too be negative but we live in a time where 17yr olds are getting PAID 20,000$ to be the best player....which means God squads...which means credit/debit cards...thats why it's all packs...I personally don't care what I have or if I lose or can't get the best cards. This is year 1 for me. I completely stopped playing nhl like 2 months ago. And im having more fun in 3 months then I have in 9yrs
Or I suggest going back and playing old games, go back and play mlb 04...2004....where there wasn't a paid too play. I remember skipping 1st period in 8th grade to make sure i was in the line up....not oh download ill play later
Unfortunately, I really think the best way for SDS to feel the pain is for content creators like yourself and others that spend alot of money on the game to not spend money on the game. Even though I understand that that's the way you make content. Thats how SDS and sony will continue to justify this.

Also a handful of content creators don't spend enough money to justify any changes. What's that a couple of thousand dollars? There's millions of players . $1 from millions of players is more than a couple of thousand from a handful of people.

That's the rub. The creators, for the most part have every financial incentive to at the very least ignore the problems or tolerate them. In the old days, there would have been some protections in place so the people covering a game don't have such an obvious conflict of interest.
Honestly this is a problem all across gaming and basically any consumer product that gets covered on CZcams.
It's arguably worse though with sports gaming and games with heavy microtransactions.
What the company has done to the franchise mode is it a disgrace.
It's the creators don't spend any money, a lot of them are actually doing paid promotional work. The value they provide is not their money but their platform.
A big creator, even if they never spend money on the game, could just stop playing the game and pivot to something else. That would theoretically incentivize them to improve it to win them back.
But the problem is the vast majority of the creators have a financial incentive too mostly ignore the problems.
And beyond that, like with other video games, there's a degree of toxic positivity which is widespread in this comment section. People get personally hurt because they don't like hearing criticisms of the game.
Reminds me of the way people respond to criticisms of Apple. Or console warriors that get upset about Xbox or PS5 criticism.
Ultimately CZcams creators are the worst avenue for any kind of consumer rights. There are a few exceptions like angry Joe ... He's never covered the show to my knowledge but his criticisms of Madden is unyielding and appropriate
I’ve been playing this game since it first came to Xbox and I quickly fell in love with it. I was obsessed by the addicting nature of the game, the amount of free content that rivaled games like Madden and 2k which were pay to win at every step. The game was fun, rewarding and I loved it as a non baseball fan. I’ve played every year from the first Xbox game to this year and all I can say is this years game is a sham. It’s obvious that the game is moving towards pay win with the constant packs, the lack of programs and free cards and the boss being hidden being insane XP walls. I don’t have as much as time as you do but in past years I felt as if we were able to unlock the same players. Now it feels like my team will be behind unless I spend a ton of money or dedicate way too much time. Besides that the gameplay has been awful this year with tons of glitch’s and I feel as if bugs happen every single online game. It’s causing me to stop caring about this game.

My dawg your perspective is spot on with mine as well. I had never played The Show prior to the initial release on Xbox a few years ago. Literally spent sooooooo much time playing this game, as I felt it was the most challenging sports game out there. I was an avid 2K and Madden player for years, but fell off due to essentially no changes with the game every year. With The Show, I started feeling the same way last year. I did not buy the game this year, due to a feeling that it would be the same or possibly worse. I'm still ripping the Show 23 hard on Xbox, but I have absolutely no desire to buy this years game until it goes on sale.
The thing that made me fall in love with this game was Road to the Show, back when I first started playing in 2012. I hate the fact that every year it’s just copy and paste at this point. Does anyone remember when you actually used to get signs on the base path? Like you had to pay attention to the signs?

I remember I first started playing in 21.This may seem kind of sad but I spent most of my summer grinding and have the time of my life. I just want that feeling back, preshiate.
Co-op seasons needs to be more rewarding. I’d much prefer playing with friends than solo but you don’t get near the amount of xp and the fact you can’t even earn parallel is frustrating

Lol barely can get thru a game without it lagging out and having a freeze off I’ve got the Xbox series X and everytime u get matched up against someone who has Xbox one the old gen console it lags out. It took me two games to realize this and these dumbass game developers haven’t figured it out for the past 3 years. This game is ass water on a stick. Then they made it so you can sell the reward from the ranked program but make it so everyone gets it the same day so it goes down to like 30-40k.
Brooo.. I’m Ngl I know who you are like one of the best the show players but I’ve never watched your content on CZcams until tonight and I just want to say this is the best video I’ve ever watched. You were SPOT ON man your comments and takes about the game couldn’t be more precise I play this game daily and the amount of foul balls 7,8,9,10,11,12 in one ab where my opponent is either very late or very early and I’m throwing sinkers literally trying to hit their shoelaces only to give up a 3 run homer that same ab literally drive me fucking crazy dude I get so pissed I’m passionate about this game I’ve been playing since 17’ and passionate about baseball. The spacing out the content couldn’t be more precise man, I couldn’t even play BR the past 2 updates bcuz I work and have social life so I had to choose and I did Ranked and Events, drop one on Friday, one on Tuesday and the other on the next Friday or something. And I’ve been 500-600’s ALL YEAR until I had to go buy Niko and the best cards and I made a WS push and got up to 872 last Thursday. The pay to win EA and 2K is so alarming. I’m always NMS and literally can’t compete bcuz they purposely are releasing the best cards only in Packs this year. I’m definitely not going to be playing much longer and this might be my last year unless $D$ makes some drastic changes and ASAP. Keep up the good work and great job voicing your thoughts about this years game only can hope $D$ watched this and tons of other major content creators how fucking awful this game is.
AJ thx for understanding. On a school day I can’t play long and the weekends when they have content I want to go outside and hang out with friends. Yes I love video games but it gets boring grinding by myself. So I respect that. And all your things u said are valid.
Ur very right AJ, the start of the year I was attached to this game, but the content is not good anymore and it’s very hard to get good cards. I’m now playing Call of Duty way more than the show now
SDS needs to add ranked points (RP) and a ranked points store with exclusive cards that are no sell. You can earn ranked points depending on wins and stats. For example a win on all star is 5 RP, HOF 10 RP and Legend is 20 RP. Maybe 1 RP per hit and strike out. Lets us earn RP and then continue to add really good cards in the ranked store for us to save our ranked points and purchase

They use to have ticket couter I believe it was 16-17 you earn points to get exclusive cards only there
I agree with everything you talked about. And also well put and spoken bout too. The ideal cards behind packs is huge for me. Im not the greatest player so i shy away from BR but stubs are hard anyways and spending on packs that give base rounds half the time. I want the better cards not junkish players i wont ever use
Little late but your feedback still holds strong even after team affinity 3 !! They either need to have programs with the packs released theme at the same time- not two weeks later- or need to release more programs in general with the same ovr. If season 2 ain’t it I’m grinding wz.
Little man I agree with you bro. The lag out is my issue matching is super quick which puts players from a distance disappointing due to servers. The packs don't matter if we don't really buy then it can change.
If you’re having lag issues you should troubleshoot the cable and modem.

Your so right I love this game but my main concern is the content as you said I get home from school on Friday and play that night and by like the end of the night or like mid day on Saturday I’m done with it all it’s honestly tiring and all the grinding for seemingly nothing cause most of the good stuff is hidden behind a money claw.
One of the things I really hate is check swings, in any given game I will have 3 checks called a strike that barely leave my shoulder and my opponent will have full swings not called. It’s insane and infuriating
I play 2 sports an go to school every day, and I have some days that I play for and hour, but then I have some that I can play for longer. My point is that I got the game 5 days ago and I realized the sets and season stuff is bs. And yes I did play last years game and I thought is was alright, but power creep + sets and seasons are just painful. I’ve been focusing on getting core cards so I can use them the rest of the year. Sds should just bring back the “OG” power creep, and make chase packs easier to get.
Set 1 collection isn’t even possible without buying cards off the market. Hell Brock isn’t even attainable without buying cards off the market.

100% facts. There's so much that doesn't make sense. You get a 10-15k exp cap a day with a 1.15 million main program for 100 days. If you exclude double exp you'd have to hit the exp cap everyday to finish the main program, and collections by the time you get them you can use them for 2-4 weeks then the season reset. Makes no sense

I’ve grinded this game for the last 6 years all year round and loved it. this year I’ve already stop playing, there is nothing in the game that keeps me engaged and it’s all behind a pay wall. Very sad and hope it changes.

I’ve been playing since mlb 15 and I tell all my boys how the perfect perfect outs are ridiculous now and they agree too an extent but they didn’t play back before that mlb 21 update to know how rewarding true skill was in this game! Right after this video they fucked up TA lol. They just can't do anything right this year. I think the whole "Seasons" or "Sets" has put the game into a stale state and made the grind seem even worse and unrewarding. Add on the fact that collections are not only impossible to complete without paying for packs/buying stubs, but you can only use them for 1 season?! With 21 being my last Show, this feels like a slap in the face coming back and a company trying to wring money out of pockets that were going to be NMS anyways. Your analysis was spot on and I hope they make some major changes in the next month or so as I fear the player base is going to dwindle if it's the exact same tone as Season 1 at the start of Season 2.
I still enjoy the game, I just hate the good cards being in packs. The slow XP was tough, not sure if I’m gonna grind xp again in 30 days
Great video!! I feel bad for you DD players as a offline player only franchise ect. I totally feel the pain. As a roster creator that use to be a blast to do but they cant add back roster carry overs when they can logos and stadiums is total nonsense so making rosters having yo start over sucks. And been doing it since the first mlb the show but im about done with this game. As far as franchise i could go all day about that.

I agree with you AJ, I’m a NMS player and it’s super hard to get good cards and the cards I do have are from the team affinity that I have already completed weeks ago. I find it really frustrating I can’t get any good cards just because I don’t want to spend money on the game
This is total bs. You can play 4-5 games on mini seasons and unlock 15 packs playing on rookie. I’ve opened like 500 free packs this year. You can get the best cards just grind smarter not harder.
They should add an achievements objective. Like say 10k strikeouts, 500 home runs, whatever it is, but they seriously should add something like that for when people are done TA and all that. Games super boring when there isn’t anything to grind for.

Foul balls are bad, but even more so - sliders down and away are super buggy. It always forces the batter to stanky leg animation even when you square up with it perfectly.
When pitching and having good releases with high control/energy pitchers they just hang meatballs right down the middle of the plate. People hitting and being late or early and not even being on the ball getting homeruns when you just pop out on good contact
this is awesome. Love it. I'm a Diamond Dynasty player like you. This year is the first time I'm using Live Series cards in ranked. For your online idea, maybe I Live Series only league. Or you play the actual MLB schedule in an online mode. Something to use the Live Series cards. I haven't done Live Series collection because it seems worthless this year.
Here is my take I started in the beginning/middle of April I believe whenever I was able to get my new PlayStation I’ve since put tons of hours in just to catch up I’ve completed every program that is out all the TA’s thus far and and all the conquest’s available and I’ve done mini season repeatables for like a solid week and a half and I’m still lacking in cards I’ve opened 1000s of packs I want to get live series done but the only live series card I have pulled since starting the game is 85 Corbin Burns I switch between playing on All-Star and Veteran currently that’s just where I’m most comfortable I even so far have collected just over 180 cards I believe and I went to collect and open the S1 choice pack that st first glance looked like it let you choose between picking Nico Goodrum and the others etc but I was greeted with a choice of golds that were 80-82 that’s it which to me feels like a slap in the face to all the time and effort to which I spoke to a buddy of mine who has every card under the sun and he’s thrown more the $600 into the game, stubs and packs (I know that’s crazy) but he can afford it it just isn’t very fun to put a good amount of hours into a game that gives you the same bronze cards almost 10 times so in and so forth with that being said I also feel like there’s gotta be a way to fix the input lag in online play to make games run as smooth as RTTS for example and I’d also really like to see more customization options come to designing uniforms as for as just having more room on the front or have the ability to add patterns or logos to sleeves and pants etc and I feel like the game as a while while they gov sit some sort of effort they don’t give the game the effort it deserves because there is relatively no competition from another baseball game from another company
I prefer the power creep of 21 and 22 with no season/sets. Having 85s is march then grinding to 99s in September felt more rewarding. Collections vouchers felt better. You earn cards just to get them restricted shortly after and it hinders team builds. Lastly good cards in the packs is bad but even tops now in pack shop is absurd
the only reason why i started playing MLB the show was because not only is it baseball(which is awesome), it was a non pay to win sports game…which is RARE these days. games like madden and 2k really lit up the p2w stereotypes, and they still do today. mlb the show was the alternative. it was never p2w and always a fun, easy grind to get the best players (mlb 21 with degrom and trea turner come to mind). fittingly enough mlb 21 was my first mlb the show…and i instantly fell in love. fast forward to today i find myself struggling to even play more then 1 ranked game. not only because of the gameplay but because i am going against teams exponentially better then mine, because they spent a ton of money to get the new packs, do the live series collections, etc. So, with that in mind, knowing that mlb the show and SDS’s specialty was not making their game P2W, then what is the purpose of the game anymore?
I totally agree about your thoughts on gameplay. I disagree with “weekend league”. I am, unfortunately, part of the world that works every other weekend. In those sense I love what SDS has done. By making events 2 weeks, BR monthly, ranked monthly, I am able to keep up on content so far. I work full time so can’t play whenever I want. Also these double xp weekends are killing me. So far both on my weekends to work so not much time for gameplay smh😮

Honestly I got to say I have soooooo much respect for AJ making this video. We all know he’s cracked at this game and could have easily taken the “Get good, I’m just better” approach but he didn’t. He’s addressing huge issues that impact everyone and is hitting it perfectly. Great video!
I grinded so much last year because it was rewarding but I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars because half the cards needed for the collections come out of the shop. It’s ridiculous, and unfortunately I have already stopped playing this year.
TA3 has been a much longer grind, which is good because it is for 99s, but bad because it is taking so long just to get the first new pack without doing the exchanges, which wastes sellable cards I could use to get more of these overpriced packs with the exclusive to the pack cards, or without wasting my time on extreme moments that my blind eyes have no chance of completing. I don't have the money to be spending on 10 packs per week, and I barely have the vision to earn what I do get. Now, I only have 30 days to get the 99s from TA3, which wasn't even a grind in TA1 and TA2, less stats to earn the points to progress toward the new cards in TA, and, whether by design or by oversight, there have been NO AL EAST PITCHERS as TA bosses, which is artificially slowing down the grind of that division! After the TA grind is over, it's off to online hell to play against guys with better vision and skill in order to try to get something out of BR, Events, and Ranked Seasons so that I'm not wasting the extra money I've already spent on PS Plus just to access online content which I am not finding close matches on and I am frustrated about running into guys like content creators on their third and fourth accounts restarting the program and finding my poor arse to whip on. I'm not a good online player at all, but I want to earn good cards like everyone else is earning so that I can build my favorite team or the best possible team that I can so that I can enjoy the game too, but the game was $100, add PS Plus, I gave myself $300 and spent most of it on a couple of Captains' packs, a 50-bundle, and early orders on some of the best Live series players because I knew they were going to be expensive early. I wound up with very few diamonds, not getting any through the 50-bundle, earning some through TA1 and by opening the Captains' packs, and wound up spending most of what I had left on one of the Season Awards players on the market so that I could finish that program because none of the Season Awards cards were available in the program until it was completed and I earned the final card. I can't afford to keep dropping $300 per month on a video game that costs $100 just to play offline and another $80 just to allow sweaties and content creators to pad their stats and line their collections while I struggle to avoid being mercied and/or shut out 10+ percent of the time and bounce around the 400s in rating all year, then have cards with 99 speed who get thrown out on dolphin-diving, rolling-over tosses to secondbasemen who Jeter-jump throw to first and are still only 3/4 of the way up the firstbase line. Or my opponents check-swinging and getting hit by pitches over the plate, being bailed out by the CPU putting batters into auto-take bailout animations when the pitch is a touch above the strike zone, but over the white of home plate, and plays where batted balls hit the thirdbase bag, ricochet toward the dugout, are picked up while my batter rolls into second, and are called foul. The last of those is a basic rule of baseball that every single one of us learned when we were old enough to put on a glove, a hat, and a city rec-league shirt for the first time. The bases and the foul poles are fair territory! If we can't get THAT rule right, we don't have a game to be proud enough to recommend to people who can read a pitch out of the hand, tipped pitch or not! Expensive game plus poor results equals a lot of frustration for the time and money invested, whether you can afford it, or tolerate it, or not! Fix this crap!

I don’t know what kind of new mode they could come up with but I do think there needs to be way more variety with Events. That mode is really the one mode they could get creative and fun with but we keep getting 3 inning games with no max overall team rule. Give us more creative team building in events, throw the occasional 6 inning game with quick counts event. Do an X poll for the best created stadium and then load it into the game (would be needed for current gen games) and make the event stadium locked. Make the rewards better though. I won 20 games in the last event for Andrew Painter just to sit in my binder.
Completely agree. Im primarily an offline player, I find ranked to be so stressful for no reason lol but this year I've played more of the show 23 than 24. The amount of content released by this time last year had me overwhelmed. This year I'm finishing up the content I missed from last year.

Agree with you 100 percent! Content has been bad. Definitely needs to be spaced out. The cards in the packs in the show shop also do not need to be there. Those are really good cards, but are always in packs. I like getting really good cards to debut on my team, but I can’t because we have to grind way too much for cards we do not want to use or have no business using. They have to figure this crap out. Unbelievable! The foul balls is not a problem for me as much but I do agree they do need to be fixed.
last couple years i’ve had a really good record, done every collection, played every day. this year i don’t even log on, the lineouts and gameplay with foul balls are so bad and there’s no programs or fun to be had. only compounded gameplay and the packs are unending, even if your stubs aren’t an issue, still isn’t fun.
As a mostly casual offline player my only real goal is to collect all of the Cardinal Players. But here is what I see when I look at the top 5 cards in the Cardinals inventory

One earnable card. 3 card in packs (thank god they were all base rounds) and a collection reward that I would need to spend a ton of money to get (and he's only a 97). Motivation is slipping away.
They definitely need to add some things for settings as well, like a pci sensitivity type thing. Gets annoying and I don’t feel like spending extra money on a controller/ precision rings so I can have a slower pci.

Thanks for the video AJ. Also you didnt touch on the most fun mode that’s completely broken. Co-op. Me and my friends are lucky to finish 50% of the co-op games we play due to freeze offs. It’s been broken for years and it’s so frustrating

I’m with you AJ, my main concern is Co-op. I don’t understand how it was very glitchy last year but it was the first year they introduced it, to it’s the exact same this year, not to mention, the rewards aren’t good at all IMO, and to put the cherry on top, there’s no PXP, so u can’t even parallel players. I think that’s so stupid
My main problem with the game is I feel like you used to be able to hit more singles, doubles, and triples and actually get in more baseball like situations. Now it’s homerun or out, that’s it. It’s boring to play games that end 3-2 with 5 solo home runs.
as a person who is nms i hate how big name or exciting cards are behind rare rounds or chase packs. even with TA3 dropping 99s how many of those will be cards that are like wow i want that. they always hide the trouts, othanis, etc. behind walls and just feels like people who don’t do this for a living cant get them without grind hours and weeks for them.
the problem with fouls is that this game has only two things when hitting, timing and pci, most people are good at one or the other and the best are good at both, now what that causes is that if you time up pitches and get you pci close enough the bat has too make contact or if your pci is right on the ball and your timing is only a little off it should make contact, the simple way to put it is that its too easy too do, very hard to master, and you cant really change that without shrinking the pci or making timing super unforgiving, either way you go makes the game wayyyy harder and most casuals wont stand a chance, if someone can think of a way around this im all ears but i genuinely dont know how you can fix that without just making the game harder as a whole
I agree it’s harder for no money spent players, but I haven’t spent a dime and I have a really solid god squad. The team affinity s3 definitely helped, but still need to drop more programs
I played show 23 really late and that was my first show ever and i started day 1 on show 24 i really enjoy it, im mad i didn’t check out show sooner especially because the content creators often mention it has had glory days, with all that said I would still say that show community has it pretty “decent” compared to how other games like 2k and obviously EA run things. Try doing a no money spent on madden, you will barely be able to compete. 2k you maybe have a stronger chance due to locker codes and stuff. I haven’t spent a dime on show 24 and i have a super solid team. Yordan and Bellinger and some other great cards. I’m able to compete at least and have a good time. If little man is correct and they do improve things i’d be excited for that cuz in my book it already blows other sports games out the water
FINALLY! Finally we get a video from you not choking off SDS. Your videos have been the most unbearable thing for me to watch lately until this video.
I think a happy medium is to use a battle pass system. So you pay "x" amount of stubs to play through the xp reward path, TA, etc... But then at the end of the program you have a stub reward that covers the next program.
Then put all those packs you need to buy in the programs.
Also, include a special edition that grants access to all initial program rewards and the first season xp path. That way it's still possible to just buy the game and then go "no money spent". You're just spending more up front and then need to seriously grind to continue to complete everything no money spent
I agree with I think everything you said. Man I loved MLBTS21 the format of that games content and programs were much better in my opinion. The innings programs and even something simple like the daily moments program was a huge W. If you kept up with your daily moments you could earn some really good stuff and it gave me a reason too hop on everyday even if I wasn’t feeling it too make sure I did my moment and a lot of times I ended up staying on because there was stuff too do. Idk it feels like whatever they did in MLBTS21 was the secret sauce. In my opinion..
There should be an online tournament mode where you can get like more stubs or cards the farther you go.
I love mlb the show butttt as a NMS player a lot has to change…
1. No sell cards on modes that had them in the past (BR, events, etc)
2. Quicksell values for cards (golds use to be 1k some are barely 600 now)
3. Very minimal ways to get stubs without flipping.
4. Too many packs with too many recycled cards.
5. Seasons/sets (as a more casual online player I can’t grind for cards knowing they are gone within a month I can’t).
6. TA 3 nerf (with a month left in S1 they just killed the TA grind for single player missions)
7. So many unusable cards
8. Online play is too much RNG (late homers, foul balls, dot pitches called balls, check swings, etc).
9. Inning Programs (mil xp is way too much considering the daily xp cap. 21 had the inning programs down perfect).
10. WS rewards (go back to wins instead of innings played. Lots of rage quits so I can’t play 250 innings to get the card before the cards value diminishes drastically).
11. Best Cards not being earned and only bought (putting season award cards in packs instead of programs).
Again I love this game and the reason I say these things is I want it to be better not worse. Not hating just want to see this game succeed.
Something I think could fix the foul balls is bringing back that circle/oval image you’d receive for your pci placement and if you aren’t touching the circle then you shouldn’t make contact.
I think they could make a mode were you get a random team in every game and if you win you get stubs or other good stuff. That would help no money spent players like me.
Yeah everything dropping on one day makes me mad. I had a 5-10 shift this friday but i took off so i could complete the br program that night and maximize the amount of stubs i get. Theirs just not enough other ways to get stubs fast other than that
As a part time gamer, the amount of content is just enough to where its realistic to get the good stuff but not too much to where I feel like I don’t have a chance in multiplayer because I don’t have the time to grind to get the good stuff.
When it comes to the gameplay, the defensive animations have to be improved.
they should add a mode where you can make a custom league to play with either friends or other online players but with your diamond dynasty team. basically like madden but diamond dynasty team. that would be super fun imo
Only thing i had a problem with was, as a switch player, (pls dont hate me) moments in the game crashed every single time for the first 2 weeks of it being up on switch, making diamond dynasty unplayable due to the tutorial, and making storylines unplayable, not even mentioning all of the other moments. This just shouldnt happen
For people like me who work 70 hours a week, content creator, and a no money spent. I hate how they did TA this year. You might have 3 moments, and the rest is to play CPU. To break it down, I'm fine with a "do this" on legend, but to give either hits "in conquest" or "in mini seasons." You used to be able to have all missions to be played regardless of what game mode you're in.
Also, the amount of perfect perfect line outs while your opponent can get a very late home run. So they punish a perfect hit and reward a crap hit. I've hit more perfect perfect outs in 24 than I did in all of 23 all year, and we are only 2 months in.
I liked having my RTTS player on my DD team like year but this year the grind is so long. I’ve been playing the show 23 until the game changes a little more.
As a no money spent players it’s rough. Zero packs in programs makes the market insane. Nothing against players who spend money. But throw some bone’s to us once in a while.
Most years I spend around 400-500 on stubs to reduce grinding, flipping and to at every point in the cycle have somewhat of a godsquad. This year they're getting nothing since it feels like an empty pit. I can buy 150k stubs now and buy elly and happ. And they will be 15k in a couple of weeks
They should try a year where for the first month the best card you can get outside of live series is an 85, and then build more slowly through the year to 99. That would make the live series / super charge much more exciting and valuable

They should do what Madden does with the “House Rules” game mode. Just a crazy, weird, funny thing that doesn’t normally happen like snow games, little bombers, pre-made theme teams like colleges/countries/specific year teams like every WS winning team
My biggest worry is that college football 25 comes out in just a few months. I fear that when that game comes out, MLB 24 will just completely die out to the point where very few players are actually playing the game. I know college football 25 is going to be huge, especially on launched, but SDS needs to figure out a way to make their game not die when that game comes out as well. There’s just so many weird issues in the show that you already covered and everything you said was spot on. It just doesn’t feel player friendly to grind anymore

Weekend league type of mode for fri, sat, sun. And big content drops Monday and Thursday would be all anyone needs tbh
It is difficult. Already didn’t have enough time now that everything is in packs and stub based like you said, yeah it kinda sucks
So I don’t really play the diamond dynasty, more a franchise player. But when I get packs for login rewards or whatever, I go to open them. Once I’m done I go to leave and it just says “you don’t have any packs”. And I’m like yeah I don’t want anymore, but I seem to get stuck ina cycle of it saying I don’t have any packs and seemingly it wants me to buy a pack before I can leave? I usually just end up closing the app and reloading. Is it that scummy or am I just missing something?
It’s definitely a psychological trick to get people to buy packs more often fs there really is a video talking how they get people to buy micro transactions
As a game mode idea…a combination of BR and showdown. Draft about half a team. Add players after wins. I think the only thing holding that back would be the matchmaking aspect but I’m sure they could figure it out

im a no money spent player but its tough to want to play when i get amazing swings and still lineout and groundout. I know the pack odds are terribly lucky, so its tough to even want to buy anything to do with this game. I bought in hte past, but then it got good, with content and now its bad again and i feel like the only way i can do good is by buying stubs.
I also think programs have been alot easier to grind too. But programs daily would be cool. If small enough and worth grinding
I 100% agree, i would also say pack luck this year feels worse, but that could just be me angry about how the game has gone, i would also say it looks like TA3 has reverted back to a crazy offline grind..
I just wish that if i select FAST PLAY that i didnt have to watch every friggin strike out or double play replay, etc., i mean whats the point? Not even like you can skip it fast, it takes several button pushes, and you have to sit and wait, what a waste of time.
Season 1 last year we start with a dope ass chipper card… I was hooked 😢
also what ever happened to the ticket counter? as much as it was an after thought it was still nice to pick up a player or two that would always play for A while
As a NMS player, I stopped playing entirely after 2 weeks when I noticed it was heading down the path of pay to play. We need to voice our opposition before it turns into NBA MyTeam
