Brands Hatch - Crash and Action - Mini Festival - August 2024

- After a small 'summer break' with three very long weekends of no racing, we are finally getting back into the swing of things!
Feels like I haven't really been to Brands Hatch too frequently this year, but the rest of 2024 will see me back here a good few times, the first of which being this years Mini Festival. I haven't been to this event for a couple of years now but finally this weekend didn't clash with another race meeting. As good as the Miglias, Se7ens and the Pre-66 Mini racing is, I do think its a shame we haven't seen the return of the newer Mini championships, because to me it feels like they have to bring in filler races to bolster the timetable and that edges away from the full 'Mini' theme... We didn't even get to see the Mighty Minis this year either!
Putting that to the side, the frantically sideways nature of classic Mini racing is what has always drawn me to these kind of events, and this one was no different; if you're not on three wheels facing the infield then you're not doing it right! If I had it my way I could watch these Minis race all weekend, every weekend.

Death did that to himself, coming over on a car that's alongside you is only going to end in you spinning off.
Basically it's his Sebastien vettel in Singapore 2017 start moment... Drive straight and there's no accident

@@BackOfTheNeto-7 he shouldn't have to move at all...if a car is coming over on you, that's him saying "move or we crash"
If then there's a crash, it's the car coming over onto your lines fault
Really wish Mini Challenge Clubsport would come to this, would really round off the event nicely
Not sure if I was watching the Go Japan event or the MIni festival, what with all the superb drifting go on at Paddock Hill bend.
