I'm such a fan of the Brundle drivers .. from your Dad in F1 and WEC to you and your adventures now, that seeing THAT helmet being put on and getting into a racing car gives me a thrill every single time. Legendary

I’m all but 70 years old and when I was in my teens, I use to build mini’s with my friend. We built quite a few cars and I was studying and training to become an engineer and my friend now brother-in-law was training as a mechanic. We were both mad on cars and every car we have had is usually modified. Anyway, we build these mini’s completely on our own including every nut and bolt of the engine. Yes we modified the engines usually 1275’s bored out to 1310, and as I was an engineer and had full access to all machining facilities. We did a lot of work to these mini engines and mini’s and they were quick for the day, over 100mph in third was something I remember. Lot of work to achieve that though and Oils were not as good in those days. I use to love the sound of the engine brupping on low revs due to the cam a 649 or 731. We got a reputation locally for producing quick mini’s and I remember a guy telling me he had been advised by a policeman to contact us for help in making his mini quicker. They were great days. Love the old mini.

Cracking video Alex, I was laughing out loud watching you throwing angles and embarrassing ostensibly much faster cars. As for the commentary, you're a chip off the old block, so enjoyable listening to you.
Looking forward to the new livery! Had a bunch of Minis back in the day, may or may not have finished up in the odd field when the talent ran out, but they are the most brilliant fun.

We first used drive it to track days and then after an engine failure it got a bit silly and ended up with massive brakes, 200hp 1.6 on TB’s and slicks😂. Nice to be chasing down Porsches on circuit and leaving braking as late as the Caterhams🤭
