Players are overly PR focused these days often speaking in generic, repetitive soundbites. ‘’What’s most important is we got the 3 points.’’ ‘’We just have to take it one game at a time.’’ Blah blah. Gets to a point where there’s no point even watching player interviews, so it’s cool when one actually expresses themselves in a relatable way.

So perhaps many footballers don’t feel too confident in interviews so they just churn out boring answers and play it safe because they’re a bit nervous. We all know how easy It is to get memed these days, social media is relentless haha. But if I was a footballer, interviews would be something I’d just wanna get over and done with. Plus it doesn’t help that the interviewers are also media trained to ask the most boring and mundane questions possible like “how did you feel after scoring that last minute-goal?” well how the fuck do you think I felt?

It's also not like that england team lacked premier league experience...it had the most premier league experience in the tournament almost by definition. You want the best players to go to the tournament and for me...Jude Bellingham is a much better player than ward prowse...its not even close.
