@@FoxPineOutdoors What does that have to do with the fact that Northern Wisconsin has seen a decrease in deer population because of all the doe hunters and wolves..... If you're not seeing deer it's not smart to shoot your breeding population

As far as my philosophy on the matter, i will say the deer advisory council recommended a doe harvest of 600 and but we only had ~400. The forests are significantly overgrazed. They are not regenerating sustainably. Also, the buck to doe harvest was 2.4:1 this year and 3:1 last year. I know it sounds counter intuitive but I do think we need to harvest does in our area.
Best deer grunt ever! Harvesting does keeps the deer population healthy so don't listen to those that say otherwise. Thanks for sharing your hunt!

Yeah, i was happy to find it. Its actually owned by the "board of comissions of public land" but its completely surrounded by n.f.
in 4wd low range on dry roads it will feel wierd !

Do you think it's a good idea shooting does in high wolf areas with already struggling deer population
My understanding is that a healthy deer herd has a 1:1 buck-to-doe ratio

Next time you put the truck in 4 low take it out of low try backing up in 2 wheel drive that should help you .
