He still holds the scoring record even after JB just scored 61 melo still holds that. New York professional basketball was dead after 2000. Even when Jordan left Pat couldn’t do shit. If Lebron era is so bad compared to Jordan’s era why didn’t a eastern conference team win the years he left? Why couldn’t the Knicks repeat as Eastern Conference champs? Pat’s roster was way better than Melo’s he only had a solid team for 2 seasons that included injuries.

The Knicks were irrelevant WITH Melo and BECAUSE OF MELO. I would say a REAL New Yorker doesn’t like a guy like Melo who’s all about himself and doesn’t win the big one. So YOU ain’t a “Real New Yorker”
He TOTALLY SUCKED. Drained the team of resources by insisting on a trade instead of a signing in the off-season. Then got jealous of the players we did have if he was not seen as the big star. I cannot stand that guy and his fans totally don’t get it at all.
If we hadn’t made the move for Melo we coulda been relevant. Then when on the court it was isolation ball which was crap to watch-no team ball. Only time we won we had a total team concept with Red Holtzman, and on court mastery and generalship of Clyde-but unfortunately before I was watching by a few years.
Then we couldn’t get another guy for Patrick. If only Bernard hadn’t blown out his knee…
Toys was heartbreaking by the way-I wanted Brunson to take Melo out of the record books, and he just kissed, and then we lost too😩
