  • Google Restores Indian Apps After Major Standoff | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Palki Sharma tells you how this controversy highlights the need for homegrown tech platforms.

Indian government should create its own BHIM UPI version for smartphone app stores, and even make it open for the whole world to use for any transactions in INR. Break the Google and Apple monopoly across the world.

The developer does 95% of the work, why does Google and Apple require like 26% of the developer's income rather than greed?, yes, they need to maintain the service, security..., but that doesn't require huge cut from developer's income, it requires them paying annual fixed fees to Google to maintain their services where the cost depends on requirements for the app developer.
