    Biggest tip i'd give here on a supermarket order like that - if it's too big for the bag or too heavy for your back, call rider support and ask them to assign a second rider for the large order! They've always been great with me.

      Taxes are tricky because I’m newly self employed and haven’t got much experience! I’m still learning :) Also I don’t want to give the wrong information because this is legal stuff haha. Expenses are very minimal on an electric bike. I don’t pay vehicle insurance, food delivery insurance or fuel. Maintenance costs for me are cheap because of my dad’s electric bike shop but these costs are small especially if you have a quality bike

On Deliveroo it's really easy you can switch location on the app as long as Deliveroo operates in that area :) On Uber you can just login and start delivering orders...after some time it will show you the boost in that area but I will be testing this out when I go to new cities to see how long it takes...some say it takes 1-3 deliveries and other say it takes longer. Shouldn't be more than a day!

    May I please ask, in addition to the merchant's address, can you see the customer's full delivery address (ie apartment number, street number and street name, and suburb) before accepting the order? (on Android).
    On Ubereats, you can't see this detail, only the street name and what street/road it's off, eg ABC street & DEF street/road. So you only know it's somewhere on ABC street off DEF street/road. And this is for single orders only, for double orders, you don't even know where the second order is going to (untill you pick up the order and start delivery), if you're lucky you may be able to see a rough location on the map of the second location, but that's about it.

    I’ve always wondered, with it being illegal to cycle on the pavement and Deliveroo telling their riders to not do it, is it okay sometimes to use a pedestrian crossing to avoid dual carriageways and such?

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před 2 lety +5

      The way I see it is that as long as you are respectful of pedestrians and slow down then you don't need to worry. This is a bit of a taboo subject. Deliveroo have to say that but they realise it's not always straightforward. The police are told to use common sense and only stop someone if they are riding dangerously...so that suggests to me that it's fine. I stick to the roads 95% of the time and sometimes I find myself on the pavement. It's all about common sense and not riding on pavements with hundreds of people and not going super fast. We don't have safe cycling infrastructure in the UK so I don't blame people for riding on the pavement for their safety...if we had proper cycling paths/segregated cycling lanes (not just painted lines) this would be a different conversation!

    Hey Man great videos! would you still reccomend multi apping ?

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před 3 lety

      Cheers mate! If you mean delivering for different apps at the same time...definitely not! Not only are you risking your account being deactivated but the customer is getting their food late and cold. People are doing this to earn extra money at the expense of the customer which is completely wrong. Now if you are working for all the apps and you are taking the best order that is given to you then this is completely fine because you are just collecting from one app at a time. The other orders that you reject will be sent to someone else. I usually accept an order and then head to the restaurant, when I've collected the order I will go offline on the other apps. Now if I'm sent a better order in that time, then I will reject the previous order and accept that one. Once collected I will go offline on the other apps.

      The closer you are to the restaurants the more chance you will get an order. I also find that cycling around on Deliveroo get's me orders because I'm passing by multiple restaurants. You can use whatever thermal bag you like! The companies offer their own for free or for a fee. They obviously want you to use theirs for marketing but you don’t have to! I’m designing my own thermal backpack and I’ll be using this for sure + I’ll be selling it because I think it will be a great bag

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před 3 lety

      Cheers Yes I can! It’s not the easiest but they fit. It also depends on how big the pizzas are. Standard pizza boxes fit fine. Very large pizzas might be a struggle! I’m designing a bag right now with a pizza pouch but it will still be very similar to the Stuart bag

    Hi. Great video, especially as I've just been activated on Deliveroo and will be making my first delivery tomorrow, lol. I think I might be lucky enough to live in a perfect location to make good money at this! To see how things are in my area I went online just to have a look. The first 2 orders offered totalled £13.54! That was prob at the busiest time, but I reckon I should be able to do ok at most times. I love that you can just go online in Deliveroo and just pick delivery jobs up on spec! Just a quick question though - can you just reject any offers you don't want, without being penalised? Do they not restrict how many offers they'll give you if you reject too many? Obviously the 2 offers I looked at earlier - I rejected both of them. Just wondered if that's a bad idea to do a lot of? Cheers for any advice. Much appreciated.

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před rokem

      It's more difficult and depends on your fitness. Electric bikes to get more orders and complete more orders in general so they will earn more. I would always recommend an electric bike!

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před 3 lety

      The closer you are to the restaurants on Deliveroo the greater your chances of getting an order! The colours just represent the demand or the fee boost. Wherever there is a cluster of these coloured areas this is where you should try to position yourself as there is a higher chance of receiving an order there

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Archie! It can take anywhere from 1 week to 6 months. It really varies from person to person because the demand for riders/drivers is different in each area. They do recruitment drives every now and again. This is when it’s the easiest to get activated

    • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you :) Lots of people find it difficult to pick an electric bike because there are so many! I would avoid buying an electric bike under £1200 and I wouldn't spend more than £2500. You can spend more but for most people it's overkill for what they want to use it for. Cheap bikes should be avoided because they will give you so many headaches and they won't be that nice to ride...better off spending a bit more and getting value for money! If you are serious about buying an electric bike I would ring my dad (his website is in my description) and ask what he would recommend. He will only suggest bikes that he thinks will fit your needs and you can trust his opinion because he's been doing this for 20 years :)
