one shot of starting fluid will kill those bees on contact,
Brakleen will kill them right out of the air.
or raid yard gard will do the same it will drop them in midair
I second the starting spray. It works great and evaporates so quick you can hose the little buggers down and have a dry cab in less than a minute AND not cover everything in poison to then cover yourself in. Besides, who doesn't have a couple cans with them when trying to resurrect something in the weeds?
Brake clean, carb cleaner, starting fluid.... All good wasp/hornet sprays. And... You most likely have them right there
Not a crescent wrench, it is an adjustable metric wrench. ;)
Sure would like to see the pump change!
Definitely would love to see the pump being changed would b better than letting it sit to rust away.
When storing it is best to retract all the rams possible, this eliminates rust forming on the rods and returning oil to the tank leaves less room for condensation in the tank
If only the hydraulic oil would spray toward the wasps!
😂

Brake cleaner be better.
Brake cleaner be better Wes.
Hank, I would enjoy watching you making those Hyd. repairs. I'm sure "BIG'UN" will get-r-done.
This one needs to be saved and restored.
Another video would be great, as long as it fits into every ones schedule. Also maybe after it's done the owner can make a video for you loading a couple trucks up.
Definitely would love to see the pump replacement and seeing it moving and working again
Great video! Yes let’s see the pump swap!!
Got to see the machine move and dig again. Hank you've always got wasp spray with you, if you've got a can of starting fluid, (ether) it's puts wasps into a permanent deep sleep. Good job, and waiting to watch it move now.👍
Those Samsung excavators were a very good machine. They had lovely smooth hydraulics, great for detailing and finishing work and they were very strong. It'd be definitely worth repairing. They have become quite a sought-after machine for restoration here in the UK.
15 years
Thats a pretty nice excavator hank!! Glad to see she will have a higher chance of being saved
👍👍
You should do a video on all of the repairs which will be great 👍to see 👀 .
they should have a battery kill switch in the engine compartment
Hank said: be amazing to get this thing started with just Cresent wrench. 🤣
😁👍
We used to call the Crescent wrench a " Shifting Spanner" in the old country (formerly Rhodesia).
I am surprised at the amount of abandoned equipment you have down there! I want one! 😛
Lol it’s everywhere!
I’m saying! If you’re just going to leave it to rot/rust away! I could make something out of it!
Seriously, i could use something like that for my business but can't spare the INSANE amount one costs. Too bad they just get ditched in the south so darned far away.
My first thought when I saw the size of this machine was Hank is going to need a BIG Adjustable wrench.
lol for sure
Yes, a second video would be great.
Why is the pump automatically being blamed ? Sounds like it’s low on oil and sucking air for sure but those Kawasaki hydraulic pumps are very tough . Did y’all preform a flow test under pressure to determine the pump was at fault?
you're a smart man....this video was filmed about a month ago. We think it might actually be a valve control versus the pump. We are going back out there on the 6th.
If everything is weak it could be one of the main relief valves it might have one for each side of the pump . That pump is actually 3 pumps all built together. Two high flow pumps for all of the functions and the pilot pressure pump on the back of it for all of the controls. but if it is just one function that is weak check the circuit reliefs on that function. You need some gauges and tees and flow meters that will go up to about 60gpm to really do some serious testing.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm If there is a way to send me a private message on here I could possibly give y’all some pointers but I’m not that well versed with CZcams.
The travel motors use the same pumps as boom, dipper & bucket so I’d say that the pumps aren’t the problem. Need to find if both travel motors don’t work and if it’s both directions. If you’ve got no travel at all you should see if there’s any pressure going to small valve block mounted to the travel levers. You would need around 40bar pressure to this block. If you’re getting limited travel power it could leaking pressure back to tank through the rotary coupling. First job, put some hydraulic oil in it!!
I would like to see a part 2 on this
Great job, I’m up for watching repairs. Great way to pass the time when I’m not working on my old iron lol.
I'd love to see this machine come back to full life!
I have a new appreciation for Crescent Wrenches after watching your videos. A video regarding the hydraulic pump replacement would be interesting. Did the metal line have a hole or was it split? I have brazed pinholes on the metal lines before, with about 50% success. It depends on what condition the metal tubing is in and the type of hole that I was trying to braze.
I think we can braze it. 👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm You have to get all of the paint ground off leaving bare metal. If there is any hydraulic fluid in the metal tubing - The heat will immediately draw the hydraulic fluid into the area being repaired. Good Luck.
Definitely would like to see all the work that goes into it to get it moving again!
I'm sure you have this figured out, but that red handle actually puts hydraulic pressure on the controls.
Yeah, Lets see ya'll do a pump swap. You guys are making good progress. Can't believe that a steel line let go like that, must be a bad o-ring at the fitting that dried out.
It sure would be cool, to see this digger up and running
Those 'Do Not Operate' signs are no joke.
When I was a fisherman in the Florida Keys, a working boat anchored up while a deckhand dove in to clear the prop of rope.
Another boat tied up alongside while they were taking a break.
The 'diver' asked if the visiting captain would also like his prop checked for rope, while he was there.
"Yeah, sounds great!" he replied.
Then, after he was done gabbing, the visiting boat cast off and pulled away, totally forgetting about the diver whose arms were entangled in his prop.
The man was rescued and sent to the hospital, with his mangled hands.
Wow!!!
Starting fluid ( very bad for wasps).just don't miss.
Hank let's see that pump swamp. 😁😁
Sounds like the pump cavitating to me 👍
Yes it’s scavenging for oil I was cringing with the noise, a blown seal or cracked pipe on the valve block personally just would shut the engine down, instead of dumping oil everywhere..I wonder how much hydraulic was in the tank before starting it up !!!!
Yall gotta revisit this ol girl once yall are ready to get her digging.
Great video! I would like to see the pump swap….
Would be great to see him repairing it and actually working it digging some dirt after 10 years
For sure
I'd love to see a second video on that machine
If that pump has enough ass to bust a hose , I'd be checking solenoids and valves before replacing a pump . Start with some diagnostics , opening pressure etc . Obviously the pump is still good .
I just love those Crescent wrenches Hank!!
Yes please have another video of this beast being finally repaired and back operating.
Would like to see the pump change
Would love yto see finish working on this machine--and get it running.
Yeah please make a video and finishing starting up the excavator that you guys worked on it and got it the move harshly with the pump because some of your competition out there they not completing their jobs or giving you an ending to a story thank you
Good feedback
LOVE your 'will it start' content! Thank you!
Thanks much!
Yes fix the big piece of equipment make her move again.
I just wonder if their is a drive coupling that could be broke that drives each pump?
Idk. We are tinkering with it. Video out soon
Be sure to replace the rubber pump drive coupler while you have the pump off. You can hear the metal lugs clacking when you shut it off. Id love to see the pump replacement!
👍
Hopefully you guys do the video with the pump swap out. I absolutely enjoy every video you make and look forward to the next. Keep up the great work.
Thanks!
In Australia we call the Cresent Wrench a "FAFS" - Fits all F****** Sizes. Keep up all the good videos.
I would love to see it up and running.
Playing around with the levers for the camera just. Hurts the pump with no oil in the systems
Agreed. And I got angry feels when they continued to try even after discovering the leak. That’s just idiocy and totally unnecessary. Hurts the equipment and spills oil everywhere.
Nice job Hank and Shawn! I vote for recording the pump and the other hydraulic fixes if it's not too much trouble. Oh Hank I gave ya a shout-out on the lawn mower rescue on my channel. Can't remember which video it was but I think it was part-3. It was either Part 2 or 3. Check it out. I could REALLY use the traffic to my channel.

Good video. Yes, show the pump replacement. Have a great holiday weekend.
Aq sangat banget konten menghidupkan alat alat berat salam dari Indonesia
Spray some starter fluid on wasp nest then light it.
Great job fellas! I think Hamiltonville Farm has a new Master Mechanic 😎
⚡TCB⚡
Yes, video on replacing the pump!
Brake cleaner or either makes quick work of those wasps
would be cool too see it get it moving
Definitely buy it and fix it!!!!! Bring it home!
This videos are fun! Yes we want to see the pump replaced using only a crescent wrench. :)
lol that would be something wouldn’t it!
I say yes to everything bro, sure great it was able to be fired up too. Ya make a great team no matter who your offsider is and also good the owner want's it all ready to work again. Actually just watched Chris's video before this. Safe travels
Wow MADE IN KOREA ~~~👍👍👍👍SAMSUNG EXCAVATOR
The machine is laid out well for working on.
Did anyone check the hydraulic fluid level before the hose broke?
Also Happy Impendence Day on July 4th 2021 Hank :) & group plus everyone too and be safe too! Replaced Pump Video Hank :) be worth fixing up and showing it too! I used Christen Wrench , Monkey Wrench and many others even Vise Grips too!
Thanks Andrew!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm welcome Hank :) also Happy July 4 2021 for Impendence Day and everyone! Plus be safe too!
I say yes do a video on the hydraulic pump replacement and new hydraulic lines.
If one of the pumps are bad you should be missing half the functions. At least that's how Caterpillars work. You got my vote for a pump repair/replace video!
sounded like it was cavitating.. lousy feed or silly low on oil
I'd honestly like to see the pump replaced. I would suggest that the owner not only replace the pump, but it probably wouldn't hurt to replace all the lines. I know that it would be costly, but I believe it would be well worth it in the end. Especially for how long it's been sitting.
Thanks James!
So much action in this video 🤣, wasps, wrenches and victory. Great video, hope you continue filming until it's working again. Keep in keeping on🤙🏻
Onwards and Upwards, my friend !!
Don't use the wasp and hornet spray Use CRC Brakleen "it kills them deader than dead." Good to see its going to be fixed and put to work again. Hydraulic pumps and rams are never cheap to fix.
Great !!!! Just watched the 310 end for the 4th time been wondering when something else came out !!!! ✋
Right on.
Let us see it repaired and usable. Thanks for the video.
YES!!! we would love to see the pump changed and what else it needs to be put back to work. Love it Hank!
Thanks!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Sorry I have missed Wednesdays been having to work late.
Yeah! Let's do this!
See, I got my wrench 👉🔧😀
😁👍
You know we want to see more videos about it and see it ready to work !
I always check the tag on the alternator.. 12 - 24 volt
Well one thing y’all doin wrong is usin that SAE crescent wrench on korean equipment. Get ya a metric adjustable for these kinda jobs, things’ll go a lot smoother. You know ya wanna change out that pump n make er run higher and jump faster, and ya know ya wanna record it and ya know we wanna see it so put this here makin it sound like it’s a decision aside and get on with the job! 😎👍👀
😂
The starter might be froze up, and then again I could be wrong, but when a piece has been parked for 10 years or better it needs going over from steam to stern
That pump might be ok if you fill the hydraulic oil up, it just sounds starved of oil imo. Keep up the good work guys!!
Thanks for watching
it looks like it's worth the efforts to get er running right again.
Starting fluid works real well on bees to , very well !!!
Yes definitely do the repair video!
Hank record the repair!
How yall doin. Jesse Muller has one of these and he also has a parts one. Gotta look him up on here if you want to reach out and see if he wants to sell any parts to yall. Just spreading the love. Appreciate cha! Jack
Thanks Jack
Can’t wait to see further videos on this machine
Sorry to tell you Hank there's no water in that radiator
Legal cara estou vendo todos os seus videos esse é o 4" eu acho
Yes please Hank go on to the next repair in this excavator, ,,,,, great video…. Wishing you and the Mrs. happy July 4 holiday so thankful for our American culture and our arm forces that are out there protecting us as well as our vets that sacrificed and continue to sacrifice daily,,,,,!
Thanks buddy!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm please can we here moor about this digger and what’s happening with it
The owner sold it before we were able to get back to it
Wow!😱 Made in Korea! It's hard to see even in Korea! I can't believe I'm seeing Samsung Excavator like that overseas! Nice to meet you!😀👍👍🇰🇷
To find what voltage any engine is. Look at the tag on the starter.😊
Every time you guys go too start something take wasp spray with you.
Final drives don't break at the same time. Unless one was broke and they were limping it around and the other eventually broke, but probably not, you should ask the owner. If I were working on it I'd trace the controls from the pedals to the valves and then see if it has it's own dedicated hyd pump circuit. The cavitation sounds horrid, could be screens and filters plugged, could just be low on fluid. I'd love to get that thing cheap and fix it. It's worth 5k in scrap, at the very least, but it likely will be worth more, even in the shape its in.
Surprised to see him doing up the battery terminals like that... if you connect the positive first, you don't have to worry about your wrench shorting out on the chassis. ;) Similarly, when disconnecting, do the negative first.
SURE I'd love to see the repairs and see it dig again. Thanks for the great vidio's.
Got some starting fluid. Spray the wasp with that if it don't kill them they will be to high to care. But I'm pretty sure they will go to sleep. 😃👍
Yes on the pump swap. Great video.
I’d love to see a video of the pump replacement
Many of us will enjoy to see it fixed
