This show made me laugh and cry. It's so funny, heartfelt, and occasionally heartbreaking. The LGBTQ and BIPOC representation was awesome. The joy I feel at Stede and Ed being canon is unparalleled. Thank you for not queerbaiting us. Our Flag Means Death is my favorite comedy in years. I hope it wins all the Emmy awards. I need season 2 now!

Love this show! Definitely needs a season 2. The workplace comedy humor was fun, especially with the learning how to be real pirates storyline going on. I love the absurdity and stupidity of the situations.

Thanks Tumblr for talking about this show otherwise I’d have missed this jewel!!! It’s exactly what I needed: something funny and sweet with a lot of colorful characters. I feel like I’m going back in time, when I was head over heels in love with Pirates of the Caribbean 😂 Anyway, it’s been a while since I watched anything new because I don’t trust anything new (GoT trauma I guess) and what a good surprise it was! it seems like this show is just propelled by word of mouth. My feeds are absolutely flooding with fanart and that's what prompted me to get hbomax... just because everyone was so excited about it.
