- Zero10x 60v 21Ah version year 2020 unlocking top speed. You just need to cut the 2 white wires and you are ready to go. Put ducktape when you do the cut in order to isolate them. In some countries it is forbidden to unlock scooters top speed. Do it at your own risk.

Hello, thank you for your comment. Without unlocking, top speed is limited at 29km/h no matter what gear you have. After unlocking, in orded to reach top speed you have to have 3rd gear and dual motor.

There is a newer version of the 60v Zero 10x that has a totally different set of wires, with no white cable being present as shown in this video. It's REALLY important you don't cut these new black wires at the same location if you have this model. They are not the same as the old models and will cause the throttle to stop working. You can tell if you have the new version easily, as the fabric cover shown in this video is not the same. It has spiral wrap over 4 thicker black wires. It's very obvious it's not the same.
Instead, you need to open up the corner at the front right of the scooter (direction as if you're standing on it looking forward) and cut the white wires there. These are the same ones as shown in the video, but there are 4 of them. You can technically cut 2 if you know which ones, but there is no way to tell which 2 are separate pairs easily. Chances are that you will end up guessing wrong and just cut all 4 anyway, which is fine.

First of all thank you for the tutorial. Secondly, you mentioned older scooters have something to unplug in the battery compartement in case you do not have the white wires. How do I locate/identify what to unplug and where ?

Hello my friend, thank you for your comment. It's a white clip with white wires in te battery compartment. If you have this , just unplugged it. It's the same cables. If you don't have a clip, you have to cut the white wires

Hey man I’ve got the 2020 zero 10x 60v, I can’t see any white wires where you cut, only 3 thick black ones, Max speed I can only achieve is 65-70kmh on free wheel spin, how can I work around that? I tried to disconnect the grey wires and white wires where the lights are but still same 65-70kmh.

Hello thank you for your comment, yes same procedure for new models. For older models there is a plug before the controlled. You can unplugged but to do that you have to open the battery compartment.You can install a switch , but what for?

Hello thank you for your comment. Is the safiest and easiest Way to do it. The White cables are the speed limiter only. You won't have any problems..
ok....you start with mode 1 and dont show mode 3 to compare okd speed, after you cut wire you go to mode 3...how can we compare if you dont show a before mode 3

Hello my friend Thank you for your comment, when the scooter is locked no matter what gear you have doesn't go over 29km/h. Before we do the cutting we tested on every gear and the Scooter had top speed 29km/h on all gears. When we shoot the video we forgot to show all gears before the cutting. We did the cutting and then it was too late to shoot again the video with all gears before the cutting.

Hello my Friend thank you for your comment. The more AH the battery has the more distance you take. So 24 AH is the Best choice for more distance. To get more speed you need more voltage, so if you take 72v scooter you get more power and more speed.

Hello, thank you for your comment. If you do the cutting underneath the scooter, you have to cut 4 White wires. If you do it like the video i posted you cut 2 White wires. The wires are Just looping inside the column. Pull them out and you will see that there are 2 White wires.

Hello, thank you for your comment. I live at the mountains so i use uphills a lot. I did a test ride only uphills, with full speed, dual motor, full throttle and i did 33km before running out of battery. So i suppose you can get easily 50 km at the city with full throttle.

Hello, thank you for your comment. I had my info. But if you see under the scooter you Will noticed that 4 White cables are leaving the main compartement and go up to the column. If you pull this 4 White cables from underneath you will noticed that they are not going any where, they are looping back.

@@IGNITION1978 I installed 4 lights on stem with battery pack in one of the wild man bags.It has GPS,a bell,go pro,I ripped out the machanical wire brakes and changed to hydraulic's.I changed out the rotors for free floating ones.It has a cell phone holder,it has a blue tooth tail light with lazer and it's controlled by handlebar buttons.I also removed the 2.5" tires and replaced with 3" ones.The 2 bags out front are just extra but the one facing me has the external battery pack to support the 4 lights so no drain on my main battery.I do not use the lights that are in the deck due to draining the main one.I also purchased the new stem clamp where it folds for added strength and no squeakiness,My scooter has no noise whatsoever coming out of it,,very tight package.It has a clock and of course all the various holders to keep everything in place.
Will this work on my 10x 23Ah? Im quite nervous to cut the wires..😓 i might damage my scoot.. its my first one and my place is mountain and hills.. im in philippines. But the scoot that they are selling came from singapore and it has a speed of 60km..

Hello, thank you for your comment. The wires come from the main compartement , is the speed limiter wires. In older versions they had a clip in the speed limiter and you just unplugged and you good to go. Newer version don't have that clip, so you have to do the cutting.

Hello thank you for your comment, in order to reach top speed you have to put dual motor, turbo Mode, 3rd gear. This only works if you unlock your scooter. If the scooter is locked no matter what you do, doesn't go over 29km/h

Say you have it unlocked and you want it to be limited again. When you reconnect the wires, does it matter which is which? There are two, if you switch them when reconnecting maybe, boom, fire.
Hello my friend thank you for your comment. If you want to limit your speed limit to 29km/h , just push the eco mode button. If you want to reconnect the wires , you have to reconnect them to the same cable they were before the cutting.

Hello thank you for your comment, i bought it from Belgium. I choose to have Hydraulic brakes from the Factory which i think is the Best choice because the scooter is very fast. Anything else you need, Just ask me here.

The scooter was governed to 25km /ph out of the box and after I set the setting to 100pecent on the P settings I get over 60km/ph..
I weigh over 90kg
The setting was at 30percent out of the box, I changed it to 100 percent and got full power straight away.

Most of the scooters have speed limiter and even if the P settings is set at 100, doesn't go over 29km/h no matter what you do. I have a zero 10x 60v but the max speed is 48kph/30mph (P8 is set to 100 and I have dual motors, turbo and gear 3 all engaged) when I’m riding it most likely because on my weight. If I cut the wires, are you seriously suggesting it will go to 90kph? It’s supposed to go 65kph but is down on power because like I said I’m quite heavy. Also, are the hydronic brakes strong enough to stop at those speeds? Lastly surely cutting the wires will burn out weather the controller or the motors if ridden continuously at high speed? I guess what I’m asking is my scooter goes 65kph when sitting on a plinth, are you absolutely sure this will work on my scooter and enable it to go much faster? If I cut the wires, how fast will it go in gear 1 or gear 2? Would love to see a video with the different gears enabled as I don’t want it to go 90kph all the time and wondering if by cutting the wires the P8 setting will effectively be disabled
Hello my friend Thank you for your comment. If your top speed is 48km/h then your scooter is already unlocked, no need to cut wires. Locked scooters have limited speed at 29km/h.

@@krrhys You don't need to cut the wires because yours is unlocked already. Mine gets 90 but not stepping on the ground. Try the same and tell me your top speed.

@Daryl Halliday not even coming out of the battery? If you see them their you can just disconnect or cut. In an earlier reply 1978 said the wires loop back to the battery so they might not of had them good as far as the stem. If you hit 40mph consider it already done.

@Daryl Halliday Thank you for your comment, if your scooter doesn't have the cables on the stem, check underneath the stem to see if they are there. The White wires should be leaving the battery compartement and go to stem. If you don't see White wires there, it meens that you have an older model and the only Way to unlock it is to open the battery compartement and remove the White clip from the controller. No need to cut any wires.

Hello thank you for your comment. Unpluging the battery doesn't work. If you have a New Zero 10x cannot unplug the battery because in New models, the battery doesn't have a plug.

Hello thank you for your comment. P08 doesn't have to do anything with speed locking, is motor power and is adjusted to 100 from the Factory. If your scooter is locked still you get only 29km/h even if the P08 is at 100.

He run it first at #1 setting,
cut the wire then change the setting to #3 and run it.
Why he didnt run it to #1 setting again, instead chose #3 that basically is faster than #1.

personally i think you should not do this becuase the range of your scooter is going to be reduced by a lot.
I bought the zero 10 x two weeks ago, 52v 23 Ah version, it's very fast and quick, if anyone want's to run at full speed is either brave or stupid, 10" wheels if you get a steering wobble at high speed doing 30 plus mph is going to be in hospital, even just looking over your shoulder to change lane's can be a problem if your not paying attention, Treat the zero 10 x with respect, or it will hurt you Bad, and wearing motorcycle gear and a helmet is a given must, still a great scooter though.

Have you seen those Rion scooters? I'm actually planning to buy a zero 10X but those Rions make it look like a tame ride in comparison.
Their is something that you can get that limits the ease or firmness of the steering which is really designed to stop wheel wobble at higher speeds. Not sure it will fit all types but it's worth looking into, might save a hospital trip.
Think it's called a steering limiter. Could be wrong.

@@Me-zw5pw Hello, thank you for your comment. Without unlocking, top speed is limited at 29km/h no matter what gear you have. After unlocking, in orded to reach top speed you have to have 3rd gear and dual motor.
Hello Abu Key, thank you for your comment.Yes it works at your model also. But your model has a clip inside the battery compartement before the controller. If you unclipped, you unlock top speed, so you don't have to cut wires but you have to open the battery compartement.

@@vikktourios Hello thank you for your comment, only if you cutted the white ones you are ok, the old 52 version has a clip inside the battey before the controller you can uncliped so you don't have to cut wires.

Hello, thank you for your comment. If you see only one wire, is possible to be inside the black tape that surrounds them. Just search, you have to cut both of them. Every wire is for one controller, zero 10x has 2 controllers.
Also you can check underneath the sterring wheel, there are 4 white wires before going into the column, but if you do that you have to isolate them very good with duck tape.

@@IGNITION1978 but yours registers 91kmh or about 60mph when off the ground. Mine will go max 40mph on road.
First was in number one and after that he make it in number 3 soo he not done nothing

Hello my Friend thank you for your comment, the 2 White wires is the speed limiter, so you have to cut them in order to unlock the speed. There is nothing in the settings for the speed limit..

The scooter is locked and doesn't go over 29km/h no matter what gear you have. These cables are the speed limiter, once you cut you get top speed. There is no other way. Thank you for your comment. You are right for the First gear but when the speed is locked no matter what gear you have is the same speed. When you cut the wires it makes difference what gear you have. So in order to have top speed you have to put 3rd gear, but only when unlock it. So don't make comments for fake Video before you ask. Daryl Halliday It makes sense if the region you’re in has speed restrictions for scooters shipped to that area. The Ninebot Max, for example, is speed restricted in many places but is allowed to reach 19mph in the USA.
@@poppys33d Is right, maybe you are living in a country that there are no law restrictions and you scooter is already unlocked from the Factory. Or maybe you have bought it before law restrictions take in place. In Europe law says that all electric scooters must have top speed 29km/h no matter what battery they have, no matter what motor they have. This law is from 2018, so if you bought your scooter earlier doesn't apply and it's unlocked from the Factory.

Then you set it on turbo gear 3.dual motor.. it is normal.
