- This is a video consisting of a compilation of scenes featuring one unique villain from my memories and probably the only portrayal of obsessive compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) shown by Disney, Mechanicles (voiced by Charlie Adler) from Disney's Aladdin the Animated Series. His villainy made him unique because he was a dangerous and rare mixture of intelligent, comedic, germophobic, and downright zany because of his OCPD. Hope you enjoy him as a much as I did.

That's it, all results are in. This was Disney's best animated show. Seriously, I wouldn't be the least bit offended if they brought it back with today's animation styles, just so long as the villains remained this entertaining to watch.

Dude Aladdin is great but GARGOYLES is Disney's best show (That or Darkwing Duck. Or Ducktales).

That's called dissonance, and contrary to popular belief, is equally or even MORE OFTEN the greatest indicator of a disordered mind, as opposed to true anarchy or chaos. In fact, dissonence is by virtue of their own existence, what both anarchy and chaos actually run on.
Actually for as crazy as Chaos is he's quite sane. For a trickster cat anyway.
I'm more surprised the guy wasn't a villain in the Hercules cartoon...
It would’ve made more sense to have him in an Aladdin/Hercules Crossover rather than a teamup with Jafar and Hades.

Aladdin’s Rivalry with Mechanicles and Mechanicles’ obsession with Animal Robots reminds me of Sonic for some reason.
Kinda impressive that he can make robots with artificial intelligence without magic or computer chips.
There's a reason he's known as the Greatest of the Great Greek Geniuses. No one, not even Daedalus from Hercules the Animated Series of the Disney World, has been shown to match his skill when it comes to building.

One of the most inspired villains ever invented for the Disney Saturday morning cartoons. If Disney plans on making a franchise out of their recent live action Aladdin remake, they absolutely must include him. He's certainly more unique than yet another sorcerer.

I find it endlessly hilarious that a hero from the time of the Ottoman Empire is in ancient Greece.
Well, Greece was part of the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Imperium), of which was conquered by the Ottoman Turks.

Aladin has crossover with Hercules. Also Alladin probably is Arab Halifat era, but i prefer postapocalipsis theory

This was some seriously good animation for a TV show. They just don’t do it how they used to.

0:58 Mechanikles must be pretty worldly or at least have seen a good deal during his time. Interesting how, despite apparently never having met Aladdin and his friends, he seems to not only _know_ what a genie is, but he knows enough to recognize one.

There are only two scenes of Mechanicles that I remember from watching this show back in the day, though neither of them showed up here.
1. Something gets splashed on his clothes and he complains, "Do you know how hard it is to get rust stains out of silk?! Very, very hard!"
2. One of his traps is a chamber that's filling up with salt, while he taunts the heroes that they'll suffocate, emphasized by him clenching his hands around his own neck. In retrospect, seems on the edge of what TV standards at the time would have permitted for violence/death threats.
An underrated Charlie Adler role.
I think Mechanicles more likely has OCPD instead of OCD. They are similar, but people with OCPD don't experience anxiety over their way of life, while OCD sufferers have extreme anxiety over their obsessions and compulsive behaviors. Besides that, thank you SO MUCH for this! :) He's one of my fave villains!! Now I can see all of his clips at one. You are awesome for doing this!

I wonder why this megalomaniac isn’t one of Hercules enemies.after all he is a Geek Greek with obsession with machines just like Icarus. Guess it’s the classic fight between Greeks and Arabians.
It's funny to mention it but in one of the episodes of Hercules titled "Hercules and the Hero of Athens" Icarus is shown to battle a gigantic mechanical robot controlled by someone who resembles him. We must also keep it in mind that the Aladdin Show took place three or four years earlier than the Hercules franchise.

OCD is a type of such craziness and is defined by name as a mental disorder. I forgot they added a character that looks like he belongs in Hercules into Aladdin. Charlie Adler is such an iconic voice, like his nasally voice was such an iconic voice for characters and he was really big voice for show in 80's/90's into early 20's

I am very excited and mostly very impressed by your channel and I just got to say if you can make more of these videos oh maybe make some scenes that I can be interested in I know things that you’re already gone with and deleted but what if you can picture this put some of the other characters from other shows in the other channel scenes that can be useful to your channel you know think about it this may be the best possible thing you could ever done I could ever imagine but that’s just my theory but think about that

When will the current Disney company grow a brain and release this and the other mid-90s shows on DVD? Aladdin and a few of the other shows (including the 2nd season and on of Adventures of the Gummi Bears) still haven't been released on DVD.
