    I called it the what if game when I do any kind of art. This is exactly how I approach mixed media. You don’t have to love every move you make. I do think it’s a winner and I enjoyed watching the process. Thank you.

    This was a brilliant demonstration . As a self taught artist, I am always fascinated by all the different techniques artists use and the process they go through. The end result was stunning. I was thinking that this would be an excellent method of making book covers, which I may try at some stage.
    What really stood out for me was your decision process, and sometimes your hesitation in trying out different ideas which gave a real life insight into the artists thought process. Anyone can edit a tutorial to make it look like an easy set of step by step instructions, but that's not what creating art is all about. You showed the real creative experience and I really appreciated that. So thank you.

      Thank you so much David!! I really appreciate your wonderful comment. It’s always a struggle for me to decide how to edit a video. I agree, so many videos here are kept short and highly edited. My brain always wonders if that’s what I should be doing as those videos always seem to be very popular. But in truth, that style just isn’t me. I think people should see that creating isn’t usually a perfect , seamless process and the mistakes or moments of indecision that they have, are no different than any other artist. ❤️🙏🏻❤️

    Gorgeous finish but watching you glue, press, add color, etc proves two things- you have way more patience than I do and you're a master of creativity 😁

      Thank you Stacie! You made me laugh! I actually think this takes waaay less patience than a complex coloring page. I get instant gratification in just a few hours! 😂

    This was so amazing and educational! I think this is going to be my new hobby also! I already have a ton of these supplies, so it will be an easy thing for me to try! I don’t mind the length of the video I can always fast forward if I need to, but I watched the full video while I was coloring, so it was fine with me! I can’t wait to give this a try! I am looking forward to more of these videos from you! Thank you!😊❤

    This came out absolutely stunning! 💖 You always master everything you set out to learn, so admirable. This is such a fun hobby. I will admit I dabbled in art journaling a few years back, but my pages never came out like this. 😆 LOL I have a ton of paper that really needs to be used up -- I may consider getting back into it. Thanks for sharing, very beautiful work!

      Lol! I’ve done some. I pretty much suck at it 90% of the time. I’ve had a few successful pulls that I’m happy with. But generally I spend half a day and hate them all!😂 I’ll keep trying though!

    Hi I’ve been working on your color eyes videos I got the page to use from your store and enjoying it. I was wondering if you could recommend which one of you gray scale picture I should get. I’m having a hard time with gray scale skin tones and I seem to remember you were talking about that in one of your videos but forget which one Any help would be appreciated thanks

      Hi Brenda! I guess that depends on if you are going to work on white paper or tan paper. I use tan cardstock a lot in my videos. You can use white and still follow but you need to make adjustments. I think if you are struggling, we should choose one where the video is showing the same color you are working on. Are you using white paper?

    • @brenda1144
      @brenda1144 Před 11 měsíci

      I’ve got a lot of different card stocks Neenah exact vellum Bristol 67lb. Neenah classic crest 80 lb. Hammermill different weight. Lots of different kinds but I also have some of the tan paper you use I could use the tan paper you use but I can get any card stock that you recommended as long as it fits in the printer I also have just about every brand of colored pencils to as I’m a collector lol thanks

      @@brenda1144 I suppose my best advice is to watch a couple videos from my coloring skin playlist. (Using the same brand of pencils) That will give you an idea what you’ll be doing. With greyscale I always use reddish colors like Prisma Chestnut because it warms up the greys in the shadows. I do tend to use the same pencils combos and techniques through most of the videos. And each one gives different insights. But the order of how the pencils go down differs on which color paper you’ll be using. On darker paper I tend to work dark to light. And on white paper I work light to dark.

      Ok sound like some good advice. I’ll give it a try Thank you for your time
