    Have been waiting for this video for years. I knew it would be easy, but this just begs for an aftermarket switch. Super cool!!! Please do a vid if you install a switch for this.

    Thank you...just posted recently on MUD trying to get some people to brainstorm how we could accomplish this. Do you see any way we can wire a switch to the dash where it ‘disconnects’ this module? Can I drive without cleaning the error if I just want to keep it up for the day? Or does the error cause VSC etc not to be operational? Any safety drawbacks? Premature shock wear if done for extended periods? SO excited about this.

    Probably a dumb question but can’t we just click the ahc off button once we are in the desired height mode?

    • @DaveyJordan
      @DaveyJordan  Před 2 lety

      Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. The off-switch does not actually disable the system, it simply prevents you from lowering or raising. If you hit the switch while the vehicle is in high for example, it will still return to its normal position.

    • @DaveyJordan
      @DaveyJordan  Před 3 lety

      That’s what I did. Works fine. You’ll of course have warning lights without resetting the gateway ecu, but it’s fine as infrequently as I use it.

      Any problems unplugging/ killing it while running. I've always turned off to disconnect and then reconnect while running. I seen a post of a fella that disconnected while running and had issues.

    my land cruiser j200 is leaning to one side (to right side) after replacement suspension (AHC), bleeding and spooring. Can you give me idea what cause this ?

    There is an easier way! You can remove the relay for the AHC which is located in fuze box at the front 👍🏻

      I will try this! But first I need to figure out which is the AHC relay fuse :)

      @@khalidalhamq9850t would wear out the front CV joint’s quicker than at standard height due to increased shaft angle. I like the AHC as it allows for more height when needed off road as well as running at standard height when driving on road where more height isn’t necessary. Best of both worlds

    I would like to ask if u have a suggestion how to reset the "check 4 wheel AHC system" message on the dashboard.
    I just bled the system and replaced the accumulator globes and refilled with AHC fluid. And now I all of the sudden have the error message which disables the switches to function to either "N" or "HI". Truck is stuck in "LO" now since I was bleeding and refilling the fluid.
    Any suggestion how to remove and reset the "check 4 wheel AHC system" message?
    Have been trying for couple of days, but with that message it seems like I am locked out to use the height toggle switch. I have a 2011 LX 570

    • @DaveyJordan
      @DaveyJordan  Před 2 lety +1

      I’m far from an expert, a lot of potential culprits. First and foremost, is the pump running, check if you hear the pump kick on when you try to engage the height. Second, there is a known batch of bad fluid that has been sold by dealers, if you look at the fluid in a clear vessel it will appear gloopy. Last thought is some have had success “re-priming“ the pump by reversing the polarity and running the pump in reverse to get fluid back into the pump.
      9 times out of 10 though, there’s still some air in the system and you just need to bleed it more.
      Ih8mud has much more info on the above scenarios.

      @@DaveyJordan Thank you very much for replying. I really appreciate it. I will check and try your mentioned suggestions and see if something changes. Right now it seems like the AHC system is in off or safety mode. Doesn't let me do anything. Stays in LO and no "up arrow" on the screen.
      Check ahc message doesn't want to clear. Really strange, cuz everything was working fine. Just bled it, changed globes, refilled fluid. Right after that the message appeared and locked me out of being able to change height.

    How about the LX470? Would it work?

    • @jasonmccann257
      @jasonmccann257 Před 10 měsíci

      On the LX470, the relay box with the AHC plug is under the dash by the center console on the drivers side, vs. in the rear passenger panel as seen in this video.

  • @Jimmycricketsapocalypse

    So yes you can remove these and put a lc200 suspension on it

    • @DaveyJordan
      @DaveyJordan  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, i don't know about installing a functional KDSS system, but you can remove all AHC components if you desire and install your suspension of choice. Turbo8's build is a good example of that: forum.ih8mud.com/threads/disabling-the-ahc-and-avs-systems-no-warning-lights.1164357/
