This is a suite that kind of came together by accident. I was playing around with the idea of a suite for alternate and unused themes from Star Trek, and it eventually morphed into a Starfleet-themed suite. You'll hear a mixture of themes from across the films and TV shows, as well as an orchestral recording of the theme from the PC game Starfleet Academy (an old favorite of mine).
I wanted to try to represent several major aspects of Starfleet, so you'll hear music that could represent Starfleet Command, Starfleet Academy, Section 31, and the explorer spirit of Starfleet. Featured prominently are the early versions of themes from Star Trek: The Motion Picture and the alternate main theme for Star Trek: The Next Generation. I hope you enjoy this piece, which I'm dedicating to the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek this year!

When I can't sleep. Thanks to excruciating pain. I put this on and imagine that one day. My grandchildren might be sleeping on a starship en route to Vulcan or Tellar.

This just transports you from this world, with all its strife, anger, and hatred, to a more pleasant place. To a future where we will embrace anyone, regardless of shape, color, or ideology, as long as they embrace us. Where we look to the stars and see not opportunities to exploit or conquer, but instead, an opportunity to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before. If I found a hole in space that led to this world, I'd gladly step through it, pausing only long enough to find my wife and bring her through. But since this is not possible, I'll just listen to this song.

Many current Ideologies of today will need to be dismantled before we could achieve permanent peace and cooperation between human races. The first step would be to eliminate the parasitic system of government, banking, and corporatism, along with the 'chosen' few that run them. Then we will need to help all nations establish complete sovereignty over their territory. Cultures must be preserved intact and all people should have the right to live with their own. When every race has peace and the time to develop on their own, the real opportunities for cooperation can emerge. Then, to the stars...
"complete sovereignty" and removing the government is necessarily at odds with each other (To remove the American government would by nature be against the wishes of the American nation). The best hope is to organize people into small towns (holons) that are self-sufficient.

Takes me back. I used to constant watch that bit in Star fleet academy just to listen to the music
When I can't get motivated on the "unfun" part of my work, i.e. documentation, I put this on and imagine myself filling the work in LCARS. It never fails to make the "unfun" work enjoyable.
Listening to one of these is surprisingly therapeutic after a long day at times

I've just stumbled across this fantastic music. I've only listened to 90 seconds of it..... and I'm floored!! I had to say something or else I'd burst into flames/tears/paroxysms!!!
It is really cool how "Ad Astra Per Aspera" was the title of one of the recent Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season Two episodes, (STSNW: Season 2, Episode 2) and so fitting! This is one of my favorited channels to listen to!
Tyrannicus, may all the blessings of the universe be unto you. Your artistry and vision fly above and beyond virtually all others. I can only hope that the wider world becomes aware of you, because you and your compositions deserve a worldwide audience.

They've both brought me to tears, and each for different reasons. I love them both. That said, Star Trek always has a special place in my heart.
Absolutely love the inclusion of the Starfleet Academy theme, one of the classic games from my childhood.

Indeed, Starfleet Academy soundtrack so underrated and Ron Jones did excellent with the opening score. The original is a lot better than the one composed by the Czech Symphony Orchestra which is the one you use in your videos, but the feeling is the same.

I can picture Kirk, Scotty, Sulu, Bones, Chekov, Uhura, Spock and Commander Rand, inspecting a new Ship, named Enterprise... From a shuttle pod, in spacedock.... Then assuming thier stations, to give the new ship a proper shakedown cruise... I was shocked, that Gene Roddenberry and I, share Aug 19, and El Paso as our birth day, and birth place.. This piece is a true masterpiece, of the highest Vulcan praise... 😁😍💓

These suites are a staple for the fanatic, have you toyed with the idea of doing a Lost In Space original series suite? Didn't know if there was enough material but starting it off with the season 3 theme would be a must!!!!

I listen to a variety of action and sci-fi soundtracks, but I think this is my favorite. I eventually get tired of the "good vs. EEEVILLLL" feeling of other soundtracks (I'm looking at you, Star Warts....). I like the optimisim in this music. 🙂

The alternate TNG theme reminds me of Galaxy Quest.
There were two games I played a lot of when I was younger: Star Trek - Starship Creator, and Starship Creator Warp 2. The gameplay itself really shows its age these days, but the music was fantastic. I know at least one piece was recycled into the music for the now-demolished Studio Backlot Tour at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you're looking for new material, give those a try.

1:46 I just realized Jerry Goldsmith sneaked in some of his early TMP themes into some STV shots of the enterprise (space dock and briefly over Nimbus III) as I listen to them.
To jbalsle. Brother...I hear you loud and clear. I've had the exact same feelings ever since I saw my first episode of STOS. I'm 67, and I have NEVER stopped hoping and dreaming of a future like this for the human race, and actually find a way to see it. Whether people call me a TREKY, a dreamer, or an off centered spiritual. I frankly don't give a rats a**! I'm not going to stop until I do. And you know what? I'm gonna have MY wife there with me too. Keep hoping, keep dreaming, and for sure, keep being inspired by this music.

Probably my favourite suite. Masterfully mixed. Have you ever thought of composing your own music? I would listen.
Also, the mixes and cues were more tightly interwoven, which added another layer of interest.
In essence, this sounds beyond a suite, like a truly unified work, which, since it isn't, is a very impressive technical and musical achievement.

This put my daughter to sleep because her grandfather plays star trek online.
Whats fun is on GTA San Andreas there is an area just like San Fran that is supposed to depict this but in the 90's and is a Marina I play STO and GTA still and I compare the two because in Star Trek Online this is where you begin as a normal day Star Fleet cadet.
RIP suites 3 and 4 ... Playing STO without them doesn't feel right... =(
Could you imagine if they were to build something like this and present it like lets say Disney a Star Trek Theme park they could make the tickets a Grand and I would still go but Tyrannicus could make the theme park music and make millions INCREDIBLE

+KIZERSOZI Thanks. The tricky thing about the Romulans is they don't really have any definite themes, unlike the Klingons. If I made one, and I might, it would end up being a fairly short suite. I'll look into it though, there is a new TNG soundtrack collection out that might have some appropriate music.

Hold on, what madman is flying a New Orleans-class starship in Earth's atmosphere?
ShadowDragon8685 maybe it’s it’s small enough to withstand atmosphere, or even fitted with planetary landing systems (experimental of course)
While it is certainly small enough for atmospheric flight, being smaller than an Intrepid, I don't think it is capable of landing. The third sensor pod under the engineering section would probably get in the way. Long landing legs would be possible, but also would take a lot of space in the hull for something thst isn't used very often. As for why it is practically buzzing Star Fleet Academy, maybe some kind of parade flight?

Who slapped a ship in the skies? They're starship they're meant for space. The intrepid class however is design on planetary surfaces not a New Orleans Class.
