I forgot on the 2 other videos to say that buying used, or second hand, is nothing to be ashamed of! Like you said, it allows you to actually buy more for less, and support other parents & business owners. It’s also better for the environment to consume less new items and source used items. We like to do something to wear, something to read, something you want, something you need. There aren’t exactly 4 gifts but within our budget the items fit that. For example, both of my older girls got several books that are part of series they are into-many of them I bought used on eBay. Last year my youngest got a play kitchen that I got from a second hand shop that was like new and I bought her wooden food to go with it. I bought several things, some of them new, on eBay. That is my go to store for online shopping! Merry Christmas! 🎄

I was surprised how many people didn't like that I had bought second-hand! I'm in such a habit of being frugal that it didn't even cross my mind 😅 So many benefits to buying second-hand! I love the idea of getting books in a series!
Thanks for your comments, I enjoy reading them!

I love that you shop second hand and I believe it’s such a great thing to do!! We are such a consumer driven society and it’s completely unnecessary. We should be normalize thrifting/regifting/second-hand gifts because there is nothing wrong with them and you’re absolutely right that if you can save money you can do more! Love these videos, thank you!!!

Yes, we are so consumer driven! I love how you described normalizing spending less money 😀 So glad you enjoy the videos!

I know We are thinking of next year…but Kasey, you’re really prepared telling us what you are getting your kids for Christmas 2024 😊
Title typo, no problem, gave me a good giggle.
Now, to actually watch the video 😉

Don’t pay attention to negative comments. I don’t see anything wrong in what you and your family are doing for Christmas gifts. No need to apologize for the internet crowd.

Yes, definitely a bit too minimal for me 😂. I actually breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the little balls for your youngest at the end. Something fun!! 😊. But to each their own. I could have lived with a little less thorough explanation of the backpacks, but no problem, just skipped ahead as you helpfully provided timing markers at the bottom of the screen. But, look, this obviously works for you and it would be a very boring world if we were all the same. Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season.

Yes everyone has different levels of enough! Glad you've found what works for you :) I appreciate the feedback about the backpacks... I felt like the video would have been too short and not very interesting without it, but yeah it got a little long! Happy Holidays to you as well!

I was really confused when i saw the hand-me-down backpacks as gifts... i would not have counted that as a gift. Gifts shouldn't be just needs but also wants also. Do none of your kids play with toys? I see a lot of preaching like your trying to justify your decisions to a bunch of internet strangers... seems like deep down you wish you could get them more too.

You must have missed her explanation! Why get your kids a bunch of toys they don’t need that just clutter the house? With all the activities her kids get to do they don’t have much need or use for a bunch of toys I’d say. If others in the family are getting toys then there isn’t a need. She’s a minimalist (#goals)
which focuses on decluttering the house and not having excess. We are such a throwaway society and it’s fueled by CEOs of companies making millions; there’s nothing wrong with that backpack so why buy another almost identical one so that an 18 month old who doesn’t care either way has it brand new? My interpretation of her video is not preaching but that she was explaining her choices so she doesn’t have a bunch of numptys commenting how she shouldn’t be regifting or getting her kids more toys!

@@user-ql6xd5hg1p that's robbing their childhood. Part of being a kid is to build and use your imagination. Also it's exhausting being in non-stop activities. I wish people would let kids be kids unstead of pushing so many things on them at such a young age. Those kids are going look back and hate their childhoods. Also it shouldnt be other family members responsibility to buy them gifts.
