- The Drake Vulture has been around for months, but it's now "Officially" flyable, so here's my thoughts on the Entry Level Salvage vessel.

I am so happy the Vulture is playable. It has been my favorite ship since I started playing back in 2014.

I love the Vulture. Been living out of mine a few days now. Great ship for Bunker missions. Often some wrecks there. I drop by the cities to sell the RMC when it fills up but mainly get credits from bunkers. It’s like a second line of income that takes advantage of what’s already commonly in my path. Damned fine ship! That gun rack isn’t just for pistols. I keep one pistol, one medgun and a multi tool.

I love the vulture. such chill gameplay as a solo player.
I just wish the Drake Thrusters V-Tol rotated.

@@BeardofOz They DO open up little hatches though for vtol. :D (The engines absolutely look like they should rotate though)
What keybond did you press to scan the area?
Tab will be to send out a ping. Switching to scan mode with V will give you more info on objects detected.
Really enjoyed my 3 trips i got out of the vulture before it glitched out. No matter where i claim it, it spawns without a ramp, pilot seat and no interaction points. Tried character repair and it's still broken.
great tutorial and yes I only work with this type of ship where I got fooled it's the weight of it you have to plan for the deceleration, otherwise bam the dog;)
The cargo grid on the Vulture is only 12 SCU but you can fit another 11 SCU off the grid tho a little risky. I made 176k aUEC off 23 SCU of RMC in one trip. Technically you can get 24 boxes but you can't eject the last one. Lastly, did the prices of the Vulture go up on the pledged store? I paid $150 USD for the warbond and the regular version was $175.
yea CIG likes to raise the price once a ship hits the live servers unfortunately
when u park to sell take out the whole far left row + nose-most upper box, go up and in, eject, restack XD did u put trawlers on yours?
I melted my crappy Aurora for the Vulture and I’m glad I did. It has made me 3.5 million already. I love being able to over fill it past it’s intended capacity.

I bought my Vulture a few month ago for a lower price. It's a nice ship and has some versatiliy i miss on the prospector.
But due to the 3.18 problems i only managed to make one succesful trip. One time the full loaded ship just got missed by trying to store it. Other times i could not even claim/spawn it.
I originally only baught it like 3 years ago because it looks like the venture from Eve online
They do have a striking similarity.... 🤣
I just wish we could get some sort of AI blade that could move the EMC boxes one they come out of the dispenser and stack them up
A lot of people wish it was automated! The Cinematic Ad certainly makes it look like it is!
I personally enjoy the rhythm of two scu, up, ladder, tractor, ladder repeat but thats just me 🤣
@@BeardofOz Oh for sure, I don't mind that either. The thing is, and this is just my opinion, too many people want to make money quickly.
I really hope they find a way to balance it in the future as for me, i want t go around and explore and make a story out of the world. If people want to make money quick, thats fine, but i want to experience all this game has to offer.
Gets old fast and I've only been able to complete 1 salvage mission in this buggy ass mess.

Wow they really upped the price when released. I did a CCU chain for 125 back in IAE. Its the only ship I'm using right now. using to get funds for goodies for other ships.

Prices must vary depending on where you are. Vulture is only 150 USD for WB and 175 USD when I looked at it a minute ago. I'm in the US for reference.
I have fun with it but have flown for hours and not seen a single wreck. Then I give up and hop in my prospector and find wrecks all over. Such is luck I guess.

Are you scanning? I find tons of them. Buggy though, but you get used to it
@@RickyM Yeah I scan. Been hitting Aarons halo mostly. But I do end up finding player wrecks on moons and such when not in the Vulture. So maybe I gotta go fly around moons and such.
I cannot use mine. The lasers won’t harvest any RMC. Tried everything. You can see the lasers working but it won’t fill up any boxes. If anyone has any tips please let me know.
Make sure you are extracting the boxes it makes, and/or set it to auto. Remember though that it will only empty one and then fill one. It won’t keep doing it until you move the one that was extracted and then empty the one still in there. Also, when it fills one, turn off the lasers until it auto extracts the full box.
I've had this twice now. When it happens I store the ship, log out and log back in. Has fixed it for me so far, hope it works for you!

@@el9206 Yeah that's all good, the issue is with the lasers harvesting the RMC from the panel. You can see the material stripping away, but the cargo boxes/extraction rates remain at zero. So frustrating. Especially after taking a long while to find pieces to harvest.
@@RickyM Yes I tried that. Still won't trigger the extraction. I even tried un-powering the lasers and mining heads, repowering and that worked once, never did again.

Made a million doing some salvaging in 2-3 days. Only getting a few runs a day making 100K-120k per run. Not a bad money maker. I dont chance the extra spots to much so I have about 16 on a good run

Weird the ship can’t be bought in game? Maybe in 3.18.1?
My pledge ship is a Connie andromeda, and don’t really wanna melt that for an aurora and vulture or something similar.
Im not really the type to dump a bunch of money into a game. The Connie Antrim was a purchase done when I was drinking and my cutlass black was super glitched. So drunk brain said “fuck it, we’re getting the Connie.”
Glad I did it, but not like me to spend that much on a video game, especially one that is only 30% complete on a good day.
Whenever a ship is released it is kept exclusive for early buyers for a short period to motivate those who want to spend the real cash.. Usually within 2-patches of the release, it's put in game shops.
id dump the connie for the black any day. i have both and the usual ship i grab for running around is the titan and the freelancer max. my connie stays parked most of the time

I prefer salvaging cause i seem to blow up everytime i try mining. Salvaging is easier.
I'm having fun with mine, however I wish it had a slightly larger cargo hold.
I wish I could find salvage, lol. The one time I found something I got chased away by a Cutlass. So after a couple of hours I had only 2 boxes worth of scrap. :/
@@skullhqx Go to Yela, QT to one of the OM's and fly into the asteroid belt. I normally set my tvi to a safe course and scan until I find something. They pop up with an RS signature of multiples of 2000, so they're easy to differentiate from rocks.

Not a fair review considering the state of this update and the amount of bugs the entire patch has reviews should be reserved for when things work for everyone not just a few.
