India Inducts Israeli Rampage Missile | How Does It Compare To Partly Russian BrahMoS Missile?

- Indian Air Force recently acquired the Rampage missile from Israel’s Elbit System as it looks to add more teeth to its aerial power. The cruise missile would be integrated into IAF’s cutting-edge fighters as the service bolsters its combat capability against China and Pakistan.
The missile will be equipped on the Su-30MKI, MiG-29, and the SEPECAT Jaguar jets, as per reports. The missile was reportedly initially acquired for the Indian Navy’s MiG-29K fighter jets, India’s carrier-based fighter jets.
The air to surface missile was used by Israel in its April 19 attack on Iran.

rampage wins it`s easy to produce cheap and effective , brahmos is made for a completely different scope
Brahmos has more range, speed, larger warhead and more precise but only one missile can be equipped on a fighter jet, and cost $3.5 million to 5 million while Rampage cost only a few hundred thousand and a single jet can carry 4 Rampage missiles for salvo launch however the warhead is half that of Brahmos. Rampage also hits the target from vertical angle which makes it difficult to intercept.
So more missiles the more chances the target will be hit

Another advantage is multiple targets, instead of only one target, you get to hit 2-4 targets per sortie.

Brahmos is a purely supersonic stealth of Mach 2.5 to 4 speed standoff range from 100km to 600km extended range multi platform triad cruise missiles ( altitude of from 24 feet to 45+k feet) to evade enemies air defence systems with pin point precision accuracy for against High value targets standing & moving targets..... (All types of ammunition capabilities up to 180 to 300 kg include bio & chemical & nuclear war head)
Rampage is possible to defend by sophisticated air defence systems
Brahmos has not such easy to defend because it's a fire & forget missiles also known as the widow maker.........

Knowing Indian Bramos is better than Rampage; why buy in the first place?
both missiles have a different role.
Rampage is for static, high value targets fired off an aircraft- and is much cheaper than BrahMos. BrahMos is much more versatile, can be launched from multiple sources- air, sea, under-sea and land, can change its trajectory as well, and hence more expensive.
India needs to buy the F35.

@@devanshverma6477 yes, they had a show for it in India last year. I don’t know what happened, India was supposed to acquire new jets, but I think they went with the French one instead of the F35. Was super disappointed. Wanted to see India pilot the F35.
