With rising inflation prices and unaffordable food becoming more common; especially for us with sensitivies and restrictions, I thought spending $2 aud on a jar of pickles was a splurge yesterday. I spent $30 on fresh produce and a further $40 on pantry staples and meat for me and another person. I get budgeting, I get inflation and I absolutely get food deserts, but I do not get what u are possibly eating besides bagels with avo all day man HAHAH
How does that feed or last you a week, there isn’t really a full meal in your cart! I guess eat a lot of sandwiches/bagels. I also shop with $100 a week for 2 , but in MA (I try to be $80 or less, but now it’s harder), and with only $100 pre made dips, flowers, candles and Rx bars don’t go in my cart. But, I was happy to hear you do shop at Aldi too.
as someone who works at a tjs, our prices are actually better than sendiks rn so for the people coming at her, it’s more cost effective and we have more variety for different intolerances or allergies
If you shop at Trader Joe’s, prepare to be disappointed. I’ve shopped there since I was a teenager and I’m in my 30s now. They’ve discontinued so many of my favorite foods over the years, it’s really sad. Most of it is the alternative foods, like the vegan, gluten-free, dairy free etc.
Most people shop at Trader Joe's specifically for the vegan, GF, dairy free, etc food. They're the BEST grocery store for people with food intolerances/sensitivity/allergies

Their gf stuff isn’t poorly priced.. it’s all the extras she got that drove it up. Candles, flowers, RX bars. Plus their ingredients are twice as good (in some things), an in NY prices are 📈📈
