Yes, I suffer from anxiety and depression. I bought the game right when the pademic started knowing very little of the months ahead. This game pushed me through a lot. There were moments that I forgot I was depressed. All of this will sound pathetic for some, but this game probably saved my life.

Doc. Atbash I believe this version is slightly different, possibly a different mix from the same recording sessions that were made into the final title theme.

It's so short but I love the addition of the accordion in this song! I feel like the flugelhorn, percussion, and ukulele/guitar are all pretty new sounds for animal crossing, but the accordion reminds me of the older games and it's great

It's really easy to simply play a note or musical phrase, but to make a note or phrase sound perfect in the context of the piece takes a completely different level of effort and musicianship. He played that phrase beautifully.

Watching this again made me feel how great of a game ACNH is, even when the hype is gone (for me in a sense), it still hits our hearts on how great this game really is, even after all this time.

This video (and the song itself everytime i start the game) just gives me pure joy. Thank you Nintendo! I've been with you since i was little and will be until i grow old.
Man, I'm at work, listening to this 3 years later, and emotions just hit me hard. There's something about going through rough times, keeping your head down, and pushing through, just to get to the other side and finally realize what a grind it was. I've seen some people saying New Horizons saved their life. For me, it gave me consistent happiness and contentment during a time when it was in short supply. I'll always be grateful for that.

2020 really was a blessing and a curse at the same time huh? It sucked we couldn’t go outside, but at the same time it gave us time to just relax and do nothing but play animal crossing. It’ll certainly go down in history as one of the most unique years of all time- and I’ll remember it for what it did right; starting my love for animal crossing :)

I had a cyst so big in my ovary that I couldn’t walk because of the pain. My husband bought me the game in March 2020 right when we went into quarantine and the toilet paper was gone from stores. This game will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
I remember it was 2020 COVID-19 and it was my birthday… my dad knew I liked Nintendo games, and asked GameStop for the most popular nintendo game out right now and that was “animal crossing new horizons” my dad came back from the store and I remember I was in my room literally CRYING because I had nothing to do I couldn’t see my friends, I couldn’t have a proper birthday, and it just SUCKED! And then my dad comes in the room and he holds this download code for a game and I remember looking at the card and I said “oh isn’t that the most popular game on the switch right now?” And my dad said “yes I asked them for the most popular one and this is what they had” so I typed in the code and get greeted by Timmy and tommy in the airport I remember my look at the start of the game was black hair with the blue-polka dot shirt and the tan colored shorts and my sister came in the room and had asked what are you playing? I said that dad had got me this game and my sister asked if she could play and I said uh ok and she made her character to and literally that entire 2020 was just me and my sister playing animal crossing good times… Gooood times…
I can’t wait to look back on this video in 10 years and feel nostalgic the same way I do for the Wild World theme song now.

You can hear that the song is following a 4 bar but in such a way that it's much easier to time the offbeat sounds when you put your body movement on it's own beat.

god it's only been a year since i got this game, but it's already so nostalgic. picking your map from the four choices. watching those clips from the trailer right before heading to your island. having that campfire with the new villagers. I've had animal crossing games for so long, but New Horizons has a special place in my heart.

@@rilke1791 What? No, they don't sound that similar. Cornet sound is most similar to a trumpet and can be made to sound exactly like one. Flugelhorn is much more mellow. It should be obvious to anyone familiar with the instrument that's what this is (without seeing it).

This! That sound is what makes that track so upbeat and chilly! I alway listen to that "du dooo" before starting the game.
I've always loved that sound, it's what makes the song feel whole to me and like the guy who commented before me, I always wait for that sound before I start up my game. I just wish I knew what instrument it was played on I can just barely not make it out
