Nottingham Forest fan here, have been to Villa Park to watch the lads and Jesus Christ what an atmosphere, those are some proper fans you got there, singing all game without fail and the goal celebrations from them were so loud, the only time I’ve seen a club’s noise level come close to forest’s and I think they were probably louder as well 😂😂👍

It's a stadium that has been bodged together over the past 40 years with no overall master plan. An asymmetric hodgepodge of styles. I think that's what gives it its traditional feel even though none of the stands are particularly old. But what is its charm is also its Achilles heel. Filling in the corners being a particular problem.
Filling in both corners of Holte are probably a no go due to the alignment of the stands on the Ellis side, and the Holte roof stanchions being in the way on both.
Just to add a small increase in capacity, filling in the lower trinity and Holte corner, would require expensive open heart surgery on the roof of the Holte, to make it a cantilever type.
The tired North Stand however is most likely to be demolished. It also has a constrictive 'goalpost' style roof with its stanchions on either side. I think a new north stand with cantilever roof could be designed in a way that closed both open corners on the north side improving atmosphere and increasing capacity.
Thanks for reading my thoughts on this lovely old stadium. UTV.

It really shows you that the rebuild is going to be some achievement because the stands at VP are all at different levels...its going to look beautiful but god knows how their going to do it...somehow they've got to make it go round from the holte end starting from the right side of the Trinity all the way around to the new North stand rebuild then round to the doug Ellis and carrying on down the length of the Doug Ellis stand and back to the other side of the holte end "if all that makes sense"....thats major work and vertually a whole new stadium rebuild..The way I see it the only stand that won't be touched will be the existing Holte end..

The rebuild and expansion will be very interesting. The key aims will be to make it look as traditional and "Villa" on the outside ( red brick, mosaics, stained glass, four separate stands etc - not a steel/glass bowl like West Ham, Spurs, Arsenal etc.) whilst making the inside experience ultra modern and world class. No easy task.

Pergunto a quem me possa responder.
