  • A long desired, long day's chase of the Everett Railroad's freight operations along their Martinsburg and Claysburg branches. We begin with the deliverer of freight to Everett Railroad, Norfolk Southern HI10. Today's HI10 did not have its usual slug set, instead it was a pair of GP38-2s used for the Rose Yard job. We chased HI10 from Altoona to Hollidaysburg with NS 5314 in the lead, with a crisp RS3L. HI10 met the EV 1828 at the interchange outside of Hollidaysburg. The GP16 took it's cut, and left the remaining cars for HI10 to continue to sort out between Curry Rail and other customers.
While EV 1828 drilled the yard, we jumped ahead and began the chase. Sit back and enjoy!!

It would be awesome to chase a shortline, but knowing when and where to start is challenging.

Is it just me, or does it seem this engineer is in a hurry to get done? He's got his conductor running to road crossings. No flag or Blairs. Tooo much .
