well they ARE bailing. this is not a Mustang you can buy. this is a limited, exclusive, special product. the rest of the line is being converted to electricity same as Dodge and Chevrolet.

I love that GM and Dodge are killing their muscle cars. Meanwhile Ford is still beefing up their Mustangs and targeting anything with wheels. THIS is ONE reason why I love Ford. THANK YOU FORD for keeping and embracing the American V8 and muscle car alive!

Looks and sounds awesome. Aiming for sub 7 minutes on the Nurburgring is crazy too. That would beat many supercars times such as the 720S, Huracan Performante, 488 Pista, and the 992.1 GT3RS

We owners of the 'regular' Mustang GT can dream...but let's hope some of this trickles down to rest of the Mustang GT line. I'm glad Ford is going all-in in making the Mustang a halo sports car.

Godspeed to all the engineers who were a part of this. I'm a Ford guy, and it's amazing to see this actually be executed in today's automotive world.
I remember hearing about Nissan's first GTR aimed for Nürburgring times back in 2009 but had a 7:29 minute lap time. Ford accomplishing a sub-7-minute time at Nürburgring will motivate the auto industry historically, decades later.
A Nurbergring lap under 7 seconds could only be done by a UFO or something.

I’m old school, and grew up with 60s and 70s muscle cars. The Detroit big three aren’t always premium quality, but most modern day pony cars (Mustang, Challenger, Camaro) all are sound automobiles imho. I’ve owned two Mustangs, and neither one made me walk anywhere.
I do regular maintenance on them, and they run great.

I kinda like how muscle cars are starting to cross over with supercars, they get the best of both worlds; the power, sound, and layout of the muscle car, with the handling, weight, and optimizations of the supercar
Except nobody can afford real Ford track cars. I can buy a 911 GT3 and have $100k left over over the Mustang and the GT3 has 2 decades of history behind it. Mustangs don’t have anything, they just got a independent rear suspension for Gods sake. Another Fu@kup by Ford .

Same here, but I'm more than happy with my 2014 GT. Even if it were my only Mustang (counting out the 2000 V6 I just bought and fixed for under $630 total), I don't think I would feel left out by the new ones. I am very pleased that Ford is continuing to do their best with the V8, and my next major car purchase will be a Ford from a Ford dealer.

Ford has been part of my family for a long time. My grandpa had a Ford model A and a Model T. My dad had 3 differents F100 before buying the last one a year ago. Now I can wait to have my first car, of course, it has to be Ford
When I first saw this new Mustang, I thought it was just a concept car that would never be a production car. I am so glad I was wrong! Ford! you guys did it right! It's awesome! I still love driving my S550 GT and wish I could afford to buy this GTD.

So glad Ford is getting back to its proper place in racing. the Trans Am series has been instrumental in reviving the Mustang GT racecar and this Factory Supported team is going to absolutely crush it at Le Mans and in IMSA next year. LETS GO!!!!

As a proud Ford Mustang GT owner, I just became prouder to be part of the Ford family after seeing the GTD video. While the others are bailing out to the EV world (which is unattainable, unsustainable and will not last) Ford is beefing it up up with their "engines" and giving what the public WANTS. Like Porsche, they are engineering better engines for the future and not being suckered into the EV world that we are just not ready for yet. Like always, Ford is smarter than the rest of the big 3. Cheers to to Ford, and cheers to the Mustang GTD.
This is hands down the BEST looking Mustang since like late 2000's. I hope everyone involved got a hefty bonus for that one. Drop dead gorgeous.

I’m so stoked Ford is going against the grain making an even more extreme Mustang. But I can’t help but wonder if this is the send off car. I sure hope it isn’t the “best for last” Mustang. I want my kids to have the same excitement I did when looking forward to the next V8 Mustang. Nevertheless, an incredible car with a great mission statement.

As a proud 2000 Mustang V6 CV owner, this made me even more proud of having a Mustang as my first car.

Had 5 mustangs so far. All terrible cars. All V8s, all trac pacs spanning 40 years to present and they are the worst. Cant even imagine the V6s. Switched to the 5th and 2 more 6th gen Camaros. Much better built and way better handling. Sold the latest model as I do not like the new 10 speed tranny they now share with Mustangs. Switched to Jaguar. MUCH BETTER HANDLING.

I’ve been a big Ford fan for a very long time are used to own a 1964 mustang notchback with a 189 V8 engine that car could move and it is so exciting. I cannot wait to the auto show in Chicago in February and I hope they have a GTD on display absolutely flawless

I had an idea to get multimatic to build the Gran Turismo GR3 mustang because I love the way that car looks in the game I wanted one to drive in real life.
After seeing this video this dream has come true. but unfortunately this car is going to be hand selected for its owners. and those who are selected they're going to pay a price tag well over $200,000+ for it so unfortunately that puts it well out of my price range 😢

I love Ford, I especially love Mustang. I have a 2006 Mustang GT with 34,000 on the clock. I have to say, I'm impressed and think this new chapter in Mustang will go down in history as one of the greats. Kind of reminds me of the FR500S but on steroids. Great job, Ford
Jim Farley, and all the team behind... now we are noticing the racing spirit again that Ford, never, ever should have stopped some years ago! Although today I'm an EV owner due to personal and nature reasons, a Mustang like this will always be that dream car!

@@EthanB08 you can apply that to fossil fuels as well. Or pretty much any industry. Switching to EV and more sustainable energy lessens that impact. Besides more non gas powered cars means less emissions overall because they leave little to emissions when in use unlike gas cars.
