Cutting flowers and arranging them is one of the joys of summer.
I truly appreciate your channel. All of your hard work and your wonderful stories ❤️. It's such a calm that you bring to me. Thank you. I've been going through chemotherapy and have been so very sick. All I want is to listen to your stories and all you do. 60 year old lady here. Thank you.
I'm so sorry you've had to endure that treatment. I will be praying for you!! So glad you enjoy our videos 😀
Sending you healing prayers and positive vibes from a 58yr old Lady from KY 🤗
Sending you lots of prayers and loving thoughts…I’m a 18 year Breast Cancer Survivor 🤗🤗
Prayer from CA. You got this girl. Went through that several years back, it’s awful. But fight, fight, fight. I’m 62 now🤷🏻♀️
My daughter also had cancer. It’s a beast! I pray you get through treatment quickly and easily, and return to health very soon 🙏🏻

Day in the life of Tipper! Love it 😀
What a harvest!
Wonderful sound girls!
Last year we whipped our plants. It helps to pollinate especially if you’re short on pollinators. Surprisingly it works!
Quiet, laid back, and simply lovely -- with special emphasis on the plates Matt filled for himself.
Beautiful gardens

Oh my this is the first time I have seen the hill side covered with so much greenery. You all have made a beautiful place to live.
This is one of my favorite " My Life " series . Can just feel the beauty of summer in the many colors of green in the garden and forest. Love the harvest and the food prep and the mix of the whole show. Cant say enough good about it. I've been about to croak to fish those creeks so many thanks to Matt and the girls for finally taking us fishing . The songs of the tree frogs at night was special too. Home run on this one , folks !
So glad you enjoyed it!!
I knew when I saw that pat of butter on your plate and the honey come out what you were going to do. My grandmother used to do the same thing before eating biscuits. Oh the memory is so raw I could cry! I miss her so much.
😀 it's so good
Yep, I still do.
That breakfast work's for me
I love my pepper too . Everything looks so delicious . Enjoy 🙏😋🙋
Beautiful video ! I could only watch a little but l will come back to it later … thank you for posting it .., blessings to you all.
Life in The Old North state.Nothing could be finer !
Your garden is beautiful.
Thank you 😀
Yum, making me hungry..lol. Looks 👍 good.
Ms. Tipper, I was watching your vlogs, and I noticed your cutting board moving around, this might help you, it's what I do when I have a lot of chopping and slicing to do, It's simple. Dampen a paper towel or a dish towel place under work board and it keeps it from sliding, wobbly, etc. Just work with it and you will find a good place to start your slice, dice, chop, etc. It's a life saver for me, I'm a little on the clumsy side so it helps me , I was just thinking you might like this little kitchen helper, thank you for sharing your time with me,I feel like I have known you forever, you and your family keep me company with your vlogs and I love it,thank you ❤️ God bless ☮️
Thank you 😀
Can't beat a big fresh mater with gravy ❤️
I can tell you that I'm not one to make a CZcams video. I love that you have shown the ins and outs in the ups and downs. Thank you so much. Maybe some of our young ones will see them and be inspired. My gratitude coming from Roanoke Virginia.
Ma’am you are killing me with all that good breakfast! And fried potatoes? Heaven!
This is well done. I wish you would do more videos like this.
Canned potatoes are wonderful and great fried!
As always, this video put a smile on my face and made my heart sing. You are such a blessing!
You are so kind-thank you!!
I always look forward to the videos from the whole family. They are so refreshing, calming. Love the sounds of nature. Sure miss that.

I love zinnias! So pretty in your pitcher.
o those blackberries, mamma mia, yum!
You are so right about the okra I cut mine the same way .i really love working in the garden to it make a person feel alive
Lovely ways to spend the day! Gardening, music, eating, enjoying the creek, and so much more!!
I am striving for exactly this..
I canned potatoes yesterday Tipper . Did up two runs , and lost a jar in the process. David picked a watermelon last weekend. Bigger than a basketball . It has been an abundant year for our garden's . Enjoyed !
Yay for an abundant garden 😀
Just like my father, a little food with his pepper!!! He was born and raised in the hills of Tennessee. ❤️
That account of whipping okra reminded me of the line from the song "School Days" that goes "Reading and writing and 'rithmetic/Taught to the tune of the hick'ry stick".
It's growing so well there...very lush
I still have to do soil improvement here
Tipper - You talk about whipping yor okrie. Well, I always “spank” my tomato (blossoms) every day to get a healthier crop😉
Tom T
Love that!
I’d love to taste one of your meals, they all look so delicious 😋😋
Wow, seeing that butter and honey mixture brought back a memory of my grandparents doing that but with butter and sorghum. Sweet memory. Thank you.
I remember having 80 tomato plants beets carrots beans yellow and green ones !!! Plus fruits raspberries strawberries blackberries to put up with cucumbers also PICKLES a lot of them !!! Also cabbage broccoli to house in the basement !!! Then the meats in end of November to cut and freeze and can with chicken also !!!
This is the type of video we all need right now. Gods creation and the joy it brings 🙏🏻😊❤️. Thank you
I LOVED thus video, Loved all your exquisitely filmed days of your life. OMG I cannot tell you how much this reminds me of my childhood in rural NH. Your love of everything growing is just so important to a good life. I can see why my Irish /Scot ancesters found such a beautiful place to live. Love the music! Thank you for giving me peace today. It means so much...
The girls are so talented and just as adorable as can be🥰
Tipper could you please show us how you plant your Cherokee purple plants in grow buckets from sapplings and what you put in them?Ty
It s amazing , it s raining , we need rain after these long years of drought ..
Love your garden. You use buckets to collect out of your garden, I use a red dixie cup:)
😀
You have a great channel!
Thank you so much!
Love okra…I put it in soups, love it in rice with carrots, broccoli and fresh peas…we also like it fried. Love them fried in hush puppy batter.
You & Matt have built such a beautiful homestead! It’s sooo cozy!!
Thank you so much!!
❤
About the time you posted this my wife and I and one son and the family dog were in a vacation rental east of Hayesville right on beautiful Tusquitee Creek. The owners had 65 acres of woods and a couple ponds. It was absolutely idyllic! We were there for five nights and only left twice....once to the Ingles in Hayesville buying groceries and once over to the forest service picnic area on Fires Creek where we hiked. I'm new to your channel but I think you mentioned you are in the Brasstown area so you likely are familiar with where we were. Gorgeous area and so peaceful....the weather even gave us a break for August and the days were in the lower eighties with only one late afternoon of hard rain.
It is a beautiful area 😀
Looks like a really great meal! The garden is beautiful
Thanks for visiting
Beautiful, you are truly blessed. Were the girls playing The Gael ?
❤️ from Texas.
Thank you 😀 It was Swallow Tail Jig 😀
Home Grown bouquets Most Beautiful(especially with Zinnias!)
I enjoy your story telling and sharing of “celebrating Appalachia”. I’ve been in Western NC for about 5 years now and just love these mountains. The way you speak about life and how your girls spent their time growing up (outside on the land) I feel a connection. While growing up on Lake Erie - that’s what we did all day too. We listened for mom to whistle, or when it began to get dark - then we’d scoot home. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful yard! What are those orange flowers to the left of the bed they’re gorgeous ?
Thank you! Nasturtiums 😀
Very relaxing video garden looks very nice. Hadn't heard whipping the okra. But have heard that hitting fruit trees. Take care and hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks for visiting! Hope you all have a good one too 😀
I just canned all of my potatoes. I have done it two ways. Blanched and put into cold water then the jars won’t get milky because of less starch. This year I rinsed them till the water was clear then canned them. It’s easier that way but they will be cloudy. Just rinse them off before cooking
Plus on my vacations I took the pressure caner with us to can up some good Pike for fish then it would be like salmon then bones and all I would can!!! Did sewing on the nights the caner was going for clothes for the children !!! Had a PANTRY that was always full of beautiful things to eat !!! Peaches and Pears also for us to eat with apples canned or just waiting to be eaten !!!
It’s amazing how quickly 30 mins gets by when I’m watching your videos. It’s such a pleasurable thing to do!🥰
Thank you Rhonda 😀
Tune Daughters played had me thinking of Irish tunes I know…connection in roots of?
I really love your channel and love your family , this is how all American family should be . God Bless you all hugs patsy
Thank you so much 😀
You give the true meaning of Family.
so relaxing, funny thing is its raining here in Florida as time as I'm watching the video! I miss my gardening (Im from the northeast) it isnt the same here, too hot!
Besides being soothing and familiar (I live in East TN) I love every minute of your wonderful videos. I have a question I would like to see how you wash all the iron skillets you use. I have them that were handed down to me, but I never use them, because of cleaning them.
Also, my grandmother used to use stockings or footies to pick her okra so she wouldn't get stuck.
Alice-so glad you enjoy our videos 😀 If our pans are really dirty with stuck on stuff we boil them out with water while scraping the bottom with a wooden utensil. Check out Cowboy Kent Rollins. His channel has a lot of great cast iron care videos 😀
Love it. I have to wear gloves when I pick okra, or my hands will sting for hours.
We always whipped the okra and tomatoes if they were not producing. Worked for us.
I like to just listen to you talk. You speak in the same manner as my Nana. It is very nice to listen to. Makes me think of childhood joys.
Hot Summer!🙏
Y’all forgot some grits with those meals 😂.
Absolutely beautiful floral arrangement.
I love being by a creek just sitting in the water listening to it.
Your garden is amazing 😁.
I also love the sound of rain and crickets. It helps me sleep better at night. 😂
Thank you for sharing your days with us.
Oh and today is national Vlog day 😂🤣
So glad you enjoyed it 😀
"Get you a hickory and whip it." - Not only works for Okre, but also grandchildren! Spare the hickory and spoil the child.
The cucumber grows as fast if not faster than the okra don’t they!
Youns should do a meet up with Justin Metcalf...cut from the same cloth. He's over there making pickled beans? Never heard of them but he fried them up and they sure looked good!! Thanks for letting us tag along on your everyday journeys.
Great idea 😀
Sigh....Thank you so much
It’s so calm with water running down the stream
Thank you for watching 😀
I know we are not supposed to envy, but your Appalachian life is enviable! The yard and gardens look amazing, and so fruitful. Thank you for posting.
Thank you so much!
