In today’s video I look at the recent online tournament results as we head into NAIC! - Hry
so to summarise, everything is going to make top 8
No, it's either Legacy energy or lose
Everything did make top 8, gardevoir is everything
@@gabriellondon5882 well it's the BDIF for sure
Here for the Regidrago hype! I think this deck is underrated right now and has some cool techs to deal with everything. It’s reasonably consistent finally
Dragapult koraidon makes the deck deadly, everything else makes it sturdy, I'm running a kirlia engine right now and love it
Good luck!
I’m loving regi V 😅 so many dragon attacks to use just takes an extra turn to setup if I don’t get a good draw 😢
In the last 3 irl tournaments I’ve been in, I have played 1 Gardi in each of them and I defeated 1 with Zard and then the last two matchups against Gardi, I’ve beaten it with Chien Pao. Lost vacuum came in clutch in 2 of the wins!
Great video!
so excited for NAIC, ready to see these decks
Regidrago and future box are my favorites!!!
Any thoughts about festival lead?
Whose decks are these? Great vid btw
Underrated
Zard
Tina
Pao
Tina still has a very good MU spread into Lugia and garde is 40/60. Everything else is 50/50, close or better.
Pao is worse than bolt, but deck is still quite serviceable and can do well. Zard can actually be built for a pult meta and has decent MU's into everything non stall.
If anything, i think dragapult is overrated as it has two bad MU's in bolt and Lugia which are the most popular dwcks atm
regidrago here!
What do you have to do to complete the task? Play 2 fresh water set? I used palafin but nothing
It's an item card. It heals your Pokemon from damage. So I just threw it in the Zoroark deck the game gives and played the card 👍
I disagree on your Bolt thoughts. Easy to play. Aggressive focus forcing shorter games. Long tournament. Will grab a lot of easy wins also just from the consistency focused aggression. Go second stomp on the gas pedal hard and take KOs right away. Almost no set up needed unlike Gard and Lugia. Those decks both take two turns to set up fully and if they’re forced to go first that’s a slog to play out of vs Bolt decks.
Sorry bro. The ol “2 prizer go burr” just doesn’t really hold up.
Too vulnerable to decks that can attack with one prizers like Gardevoir, Lugia, and Ancient Box. It's also highly vulnerable to late game hand disruption. I think these shortcomings will keep it firmly in 3rd or 4th place.
Lost zone drag won my locals tonight. I played gardi and lost against charizard in round 1
Man, i hate LZ pult. In theory, deck is bad, in practice, i don't know how or why, it works.
Is one of those things that has no explanation
@@easyygo3008 yea, it even beat pult/pidgeot in the finals.. seems very techy but time will tell how well the deck holds up
I just want my baby Chien Pao to survive 🥹
I personally belive if you could make a charizard deck work that prioritizes charizard ex from mew 151 attacking turn 2 youre garunteed a W. Although 4 energy is costy, no matter which deck youre playing against you 1 shot everything except blastoise. Although its not the best way to play zard i do think it could make day 2 in the right hands
"Control" Greninja will be in top 8! Hahahaha
I tried that list and is surprisingly good
Feel like it’s being a bit slept on. It can bench snipe, play control, deal decent damage and is rather cheap. It also auto wins against electric decks and stuff like Blissey. It does rely on a secondary attacker however because it has a low damage output, but it’s a good all arounder.
What about moon dunsparce bruh
Unplayable into Dragapult. He mentioned it briefly when discussing Ancient Box.
I need a video on Alessandro Cremascoli Farigiraf ex video…. Please!!!!!!
No Giacomo in Blocklax?
WOW IT IS GOING TO BE CRAZY NICE THUMBNAIL
🏕
I've been saying it since twilight masquerade came out, charizard is still the best deck in format. Ogrepon bolt is an ok counter, but zard can still beat it. Dragapult was way overhyped.
also I feel it's relevant to mention, I'm a massive lost box fan and I've NEVER played charizard lol. I have tina lost box and gholdengo built right now and I've been working on putting together gardevoir, I want them all to be great but I still think Zard is best lol.
It’s hard to argue that Dragapult is overhyped when you look at the City League results in Japan.
I hate this new format. If you don't play Raging Bolt or Lugia, you just lose
That's false.
Gardevoir has good MU into both and charizard has even MU's with Lugia and slightly favored into bolt when played properly
In no tcg you will ever get a format where you can play bad cards and win. There is always high tier for a reason.
Lugia auto losing to future box is not good lol
@@vonrazquez2842
Future box is a terrible deck.
Deck is walking a fine line between Rogue and casual while it also lacks representation. I'm also sure the MU is more closer to 40/60 as Lugia can actually demolsih the deck with wellspring, cinccino and jamming tower.
Only future deck remotely worth talking about is Iron Thorns. The old hands deck gets demolished to oblivion by pult and Raging bolt, so is not even worth talkimg about it as a serious threat.
That’s funny, my pult list hasn’t lost to any of those decks yet
LZ Dragapult is great
It's an auto loss against normal draga
Loses vs lost zone mirrors too. I would rather play lost box or heck, even lost tina which is 50/50 or better into most non garde decks.
Even the bolt MU is like 47/53 when i initially thought it was bad beyond belief
Where’s Greninja ex
Isn’t that good compared to everything else rn
In the trash bin, card is bad
In the binder, where it belongs
TURBO HANDS HAS "AN OK MATCHUP AGAINST LUGIA" bro what? It DESTROYS Lugia, why is no PKMNTCG creator acknowledging the fact that it WON Special Event Bologna this last weekend and it COMPLETELY obliterated Lugia in Top 8 or Top 4 cant remember then procceded to win the whole thing in the finals vs Lost Zone. Great content bro but come on...
Bologna was pre-rotation, that's why it's not getting discussed much. Turbo Hands has a great Lugia matchup and might be alright into Dragapult (not really sure tbh), but it gets destroyed by Raging Bolt, which is probably going to be common at NAIC.
A build that mixes Hands and Thorns might have more viability though. It would be interesting to see.
@@kered13 You completely right lol Ive actually added two Iron Thorns and its pretty solid definitely a boost, would be dope to see someone running it this weekend.
What exactly makes you believe the MU is easy? You are comparing pre twilight vs post.
The MU now is 40/60 with average players (look at data on limitless). That's far from "destroying" Lugia, is a bad MU and that's it.
Stop extrapolating from one format to another, legacy energy, ursaluna and carmine did alter lugia entirely.
And future hands is a terrible deck in the new format. It has bad MU's into everything: Bolt (which is a 25/75 MU), Garde (35/65), Zard (30/70), pult (35/65), tina (20/80), snorlax (20/80), etc.
In comparison the 40/60 Lugia seems even good
@@easyygo3008 I could give you a same arguments of Turbo Hands cause I actually play it you just yappin cause like me you know your deck, but it is a bad MU I've been destroying Lugias EASY (post twilight in Live) so Im sorry if you mad its just facts, BOLT is literally a bad matchup for errone so chill out, Zard is not 30/70 at the most 60/40 50/50 if you know how to play. Snorlax as a Hands player you have to know what to bench quick so you can keep attackin to create pressure so no bro yo numbers are incorrect,Tina sure not great but its the same for you against my deck so its literally almost the same spread I was literally talking just Lugias match up vs Turbo Hands which sucks no matter your cope guy, also Hands has Iron Thorns now but you have no clue about the deck you assume it got no upgrades.
@@EZPEO
Your experience are not facts. Data is, look at limitless, i didn't make up anything isvery clear 40/60 Future favored.
You are biased because you play the deck. Btw thorns isn't very good in future, it needs a bunch of things to go right for you to load it up and actually hurt Lugia long enough, the upgrade it got from that is marginal as every turn it spends in the active, is a turn you can't build with single prizer miraidon. Moreover, a single boss breaks the lock and in that turns they will just open the floodgate and destroy you.
It can work, but opportunity window is very narrow and specific, is not this massive threat you are trying to sell.
Limitless is very clear. Is a 40/60 type of MU for Lugia which pales in comparison to future's other MU's: deck is a fkng joke.
If you knew the meta, you would know by now that Ogerpon and garde are terrible MU's (they actually trash and bulky hhe deck) which discards it from any serious competition.
Add to that that other fringew decks like lost box, zard, tina and control also have a feast vs the deck (look at limitless), makes a laughable proposition.
There are much better hands decks
Gardy
Bdif
CAP
Nah, Lugia BDIF. Better matchup spread, and unironically I think Lugia is more consistent than Gardevoir right now thanks to Carmine.
@@kered13 **LAUGHS IN TURBO HANDS**
Hey Matt no one takes you seriously ☝🏼
