7 runs in the 10th inning is crazy😮
Craziest thing is, they only needed one more run then they would've been tied with Rockies and Pirates with the most scored runs in the 10th inning in MLB history. That's seriously something insane to think about.
I know this is going to make me sound old (I'm 41) - I just thought, "Ellie is our era's Rickey Henderson." This man is phenomenal to watch, just an amazing athlete and what a great time for baseball in general.
Elly is exiting to watch, but it is too soon to compare to someone like RIckey Henderson. Elly is only 22 and playing his first FULL season for the Reds
You are absolutely right about Ellie being a phenomenal athlete, Dan... But there will never be another Ricky Henderson... Ellie is something that we have never before witnessed on a baseball diamond... One of the evolutionary players that come around very infrequently, and a true joy to watch

2 really bad calls, plus threw out the manager way too fast. I wonder if that wasn't a make up call on the Stephenson walk.
Reds are so exciting to watch
Until they aren’t. I wonder if they are serious about winning, the marlins are scrubs and we nearly tied them. Without a heroic tenth we talk a much different story.

I'm of a mind that most Reds Fans KNEW he was not going to be picked up on his final year of his contract....That's been the Legacy of The Red's Front Office for years. Elly has definitely taken some of the sting away....BUTT....Joey was always a character on and off the field and his presence in the dugout was such a bonus! He would make a great addition to a broadcast team on Both TV or Radio! He truly is missed!

Yeah I've been a Reds fan since 2007 when Joey Votto first joined our Reds team.
For the Marlins Xavier Edwards seems to be pretty good. He has 128 at bats for the season with 48 hits for a batting average of .375 and OPP of .443
It was a pretty good game that was tied 3x3 for nine innings. The Marlins used 8 pitchers The game lasted 3:16 hours (10 innings). The attendance was 8,728

I'm suspicious of the pitcher who hit Friedl. He seemed a little too happy. But hey, I've been watching the Reds since the 70s so I'm protective. The way it hit, it looks like he's going to be on the DL for a bit.
