Turning off maintenance required light 2011 Toyota Sienna base model

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK . Not taking your car in at the required service intervals can void your warranty and create an unsafe condition.
The "Maint Reqd" light will go on every 5000 miles in the base model of the 2011 Toyota Sienna. To turn it off, switch the ignition to the on position without starting the car, Press odometer push control to "Trip A". Switch key to off again. With odometer push control pushed in, switch key to "On" position and you should see the Maint Reqd light blinking. When it goes out, release the odometer push control and turn key to off. When your start your car again, the Maint Reqd light will not stay on as before. Turning the light off does not mean your car does not require maintenance. Take it in as soon as you can. Take procedure might work for other edition of the same model year.

The van is trouble free and I have only done routine maintenance. Mine has only 25,000 miles but so far so good. I would recommend it without any reservations. Good luck.
