Replacing Versys 650 Front Brake Pads

I am due to replace the Versys 650 front brake pads, it should be a nice and simple job but its my first time on this bike. I'm also taking the opportunity to clean the callipers and pistons a touch. I replaced them with some EBC HH sintered pads.

nice Versatile System, what year is it? did ya break off the lower piece of the front mudguard with a disc lock? I am doing the brakes on our 57 plate MK1 atm.

Mine is the 2014, the mudguard was broken before I got it.

It’s to push back the piston. It’s not required but it makes it easier. You can just push back the piston by hand using a lever and the old brake pads.
