    I love how she looks at the camera like “hey y’all you seeing this?!”

      Haha yeah. I imagine a bird stumbling upon a new nest box is like walking down the road and finding an empty mansion.

    It's pretty cool to watch a male bird building a nest. This guy is particularly meticulous about it too. I've read that the males at least start it out with sticks.

    Fascinating to watch the nest build up like that - and really different from the (one) other nest-making video I've seen, which was Black Capped Chickadees.

    Cool. One of our wren houses appears to have nestlings. Saw a parent taking away a fecal sac the other day.

    This was beyond cool! What were the vocalizations at 4:46? REM murmurings?

      Definitely some kind of little chatter. We were always hearing them make little noises

    Guys, any follow up on this? Did the egg hatch? Keep up the great work! Thanks.

    Does it work without a WiFi connection? Do the recordings stay on the card?

    There is a nest of ravens right by my house but I don’t want to put a nest cam there without disturbing them? Any tips

    She made a perfect little nest! Do you think that the found feathers that she laid on top, were meant to say 'something bad has happened here...do not enter'???

    • @BadgerlandBirding
      @BadgerlandBirding  Před rokem +2

      I don’t think so, I think they’re just soft haha

    • @pauraque
      @pauraque Před rokem +2

      Feathers are the most prized nest material because they are so soft

      @@pauraque but she placed them on top of the nest. Not IN the nest🤔

      @@jackiejones9831 But like thats because she was sitting on the nest. You couldn't see anything in the nest...
