When I grow up I want to be as awesome as the spoon lady. I can play the drums, guitar and bass and have for over 10 years but can't play the damn spoons. She's my hero!
Morning Jacob! Loved the drone footage today! I wont go into Asheville anymore, but I love watchjng videos made there! It used to be a good place, you know...mountain folk. But now its full of hippies and it smells funny. Anyway, thanks for sharing and just watching that little dude dancjng, sort of, to that music made me smile! Bless his heart!
Sometimes the little dude plays Oh Susanna with us on his bucket drum. He's a regular, and always invited.

AVL is not as weird as it once was. Thanks for highlighting some of the weirdness. I could have shown you many hidden things, invisible asheville . but alas....This is all for the tourists. The drum circle used to be crazy and at Pack Sqaure. The Lazoom bus are good folks. Yeah you are seeing the candy coated. The spoonlady is an icon around here these days.

Asheville is cool. Been there a coupla times There used to be a great little shop that sold hand-rolled cigars-don't know if it's still there. BTW, very clever using the drum circle audio with the drone footage.

Cool drone footage of the drum circle. You might have to have an Asheville Meetup one day. We live just outside of Charlotte and love escaping to the Cesspool of Sin when we can. Keep up the good work.

I thought you weren't allowed to fly drones over crowds of people. You may want to read up on the regulations.
You are NOT allowed to fly drones over crowds of people. Commercial OR Hobbyist.
The FAA now has 2 sets of criteria. A PART 101 Hobbyist flying a model aircraft for fun and education, you have to follow a "community derived set of guidelines". The only one I am aware of in the USA is the Academy of Model Aeronautics. They have guidelines that say #1 ALL pilots shall avoid flying directly over unprotected People, Vessels, Vehicles or Structures and shall avoid endangerment of life and property of others. (Jan 1, 2014 Academy of Model Aeronautics National Model Aircraft Safety Code).
#9A. The pilot of a RC model aircraft shall maintain control during the entire flight, maintaining visual contact without enhancements other than by corrective lenses prescribed for the pilot.
But SINCE you make Money from your videos on You Tube, and your drone flying is a very active part of that, you really are operating as a Part 107 Commercial Operator. It also requires Visual Line of sight (with unaided vision).
It also requires that small unmanned aircraft may not operate over any persons not directly participating in the operation, not under a covered structure, and not inside a covered stationary vehicle. (FAA Part 107, Section B, Table #1).

I need to get over to Asheville. I live about 1.5 hrs. from there. Although I have seen parts of Ashe. looking out the windshield of a trk. trailer, kinda rough maneuvering 70 ft. of trk. trailer thru those tight streets. ugggggg
Man who cares what people think..Hell the town I live in is a cesspool of sin. No secret there, and it wouldnt offend me to hear someone else say that. Truth be told...The whole damn world is a cesspool of sin.

I think you mean 120 Meters (400 feet). That's only in programmed GPS mode. In attitude or sport mode it can go as far as it can go until it runs out of radio range. As a private pilot, and a commercial drone pilot, I believe you were over 400 feet over top of Asheville. I fly a Phantom 3 and I am very familiar with their flight modes. Just for your Info - whether commercial pilot, or hobbyist, you are not allowed to fly over an open air assembly of people. I have seen you do this multiple times. If the FAA gets this, it could be very expensive. I don't like seeing you fly this way, because it endangers all of our rights in the National Air Space.

Spoon Lady was getting down, but what was the deal w/her legs? At 1st, I thought she'd soiled herself, or perhaps fallen down several sets of stairs, or just not bathed for a very long time. Eventually I just did my best to not stare, & enjoyed the jams. Giddy-up!

I didn't know you were in Trashville (nick name given to the city by those of us who hate the place). I live near Trashville. I hate the place, I am very much into the 60's vibe but most of the people that are there are @ss hats. I've been treated very badly there for no reason what so ever. But I will admit that I have also found some nice people there as well but not many. Anyways Mr. Carpetbagger I hope that you did at least have a great time and fun experience.
