I’m off grid and have been learning to things for myself. Your videos have enabled me to cover a pillow, make beds for my dogs, and will be making masks. Thank you for the excellent videos.

On thimbles, I feel like different jobs could use different thimbles. if you were making your own from leather, for example, you wouldn’t use a card board thimble 😂
awesome video, it’s exactly what I was here to find. Thank you!

Thank you so much for posting this video. I'm home sick with covid right now and I found it very fitting to make a mask for my return to work.

I know this is rather late, but thanks for your many excellent sewing videos. I'm a getting-old guy who has become rather interested in wearing men's classic style lately. Being able to improve my very-basic sewing skill so I can adjust clothing or make pocket cloths/handkerchiefs, etc. is why I've been using your videos. I've been considering making my own bow ties once my skills get a bit better. Thanks again!

Tip: the lining could also be a Tawna Lawn. Fine, silky smooth and cool against the face.

Thanks! Yes it could be. I picked it since linen absorbs and wicks moisture better than cotton. I find it easier to breath with that next to my mouth.

Looks simply beautiful. 2 questions. 1. Will it harder to stitch if I attach the tie between the lining? 2. Why not attach it tie to the inner part of the mask instead of the outside?

Good questions! 1- you can do that you will probably need to stab stitch through all the layers because it will be really thick but it’s possible. 2. Attach it on the outside help to draw the mask around the face more. However it will still work it attached on the inside.

I'd like to try out silk threads, but all I can find are the ones used for embroider. Is there a difference between them?
