If you want heavy rap tracks: Pretty Savage Crazy Over You (all English) Love To Hate Me (all English) Pretty Savage and Crazy Over You have Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo rapping in them. None of these have music videos, so I recommend that you check out the color coded lyric videos. Pretty Savage does have several performance videos that you can watch or react to, but I do recommend starting with the lyric videos first as they will highlight the performer, and you'll be able to start recognizing them by voice. Great reaction. Just a bit of background, if you aren't aware of BP's history. YG did an extensive search throughout Asia and Australia to identify the best teen performers for their Trainee Program. Auditioned 4,000 in Thailand, only Lisa was selected for the Trainee program. 700 in Australia, only Rose was selected. Something like 40 of the best were selected, and over a 6 year period they whittled it down to the 4 members of Blackpink. An extremely brutal and cold-hearted 6 year Trainee Program (Jennie's words), 14 hour days, 13 days training and then 1 day off. No dating allowed, sleep in company dorms, eat in company cafeteria. Each member often thought about quitting, but they triumphed. So, yeah, they worked hard BEFORE they debuted, and then were ready to take on the North Korean army, let alone the pop industry. BTW, Lisa started training in dance at the age of 3, competing seriously since the age of 6, winning competitions at 12, and selected by YG at 13. They look sweet (and really are), but they are also total savages and the best of the best to survive that program. BTW, they are just as great at dancing as singing and rapping. Was born by the name Pranpiya Manobal(n) but later changed her name to Lalisa on the advise of a fortune teller that this name will bring her a great luck, but was does Lalisa mean? translation: the one who is praise. She went to Milan for Prada's fashion show. Took a 12 hour flight back to SK, and from SK, took another 4 hour flight to Japan for their last Japan Dome concert that started just a few hours after she landed. But seeing her on stage during that concert you would never guess she just came from a 16 hour flight. Her energy was overflowing. She never ever gave less. And that is not the only time that she had back to back flights between countries to attend a show or interview or conference. During her trip to Paris, she had a 12hrs flight, cameras shoved to her face, barely got space to breathe yet she was smiling, taking fans gifts, signing albums and interacting with everyone and taking pictures with them. Not even a slight look of being annoyed but just a pure soul being thankful and humble as ever.
HER PASSION AND DETERMINATION
We may not see it all but even the dance practices of the group and her solo performances she gives 100% effort. Other members said they would train from 12pm-12am, but lisa would stay up until 3-4am to train. She keep herself grounded--with the amount of fame she is getting right now from all over the world, she remains humble. She doesn't think of herself as a big celeb. You would see her eat street foods, or stop by a small store at the sidewalk to eat ice cream, hang out with her childhood friends. She still does what normal people do. If you didn't know, Lisa has the richest fans. Like really really rich. One fan spent hundred thousand of dollars for a birthday led ad on 9 Buildings in 9 cities in 9 days. HER GENUINE HEART
BLACKPINK donated 40 million won or 34,000 USD to the victims of fire in South Korea. In December 2018 they were awarded prize money of 20 milliom won or 17,000 USD by Elle Styles Awards, but being angels they are they donated the amount to low-income household and another 20 million to low income single-parent household in South Korea. Lisa donated 200,000 baht or 8,000 USD to the victims of flood in Thailand she donated it quitely without any intention of media attention. She was scammed by her former manager for about 1billion won or 820,000 USD, she keep it and settle it privately. She created a CZcams channel as a way to give back to her fans. She also helped and supported Education in her hometown. She contributed to the education of Thai students and worked out support from the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange to set up a learning centre. Earlier this year 2022, Blackpink along with other YG Artists and Actors donated 500M KRW or 400K USD to help with the recovery of wildfire damage in South Korea. Lisa also supported a charitable restaurant organisation whose meal profit 100% go to charities. Our Lisa does things for a good cause. About your question, kpop groups can do both singing and rapping but not all of them, most of them rather. Most groups that can do singing and rapping (an excellent rapping-rapping) at the same time is mostly found in YG entertainment, which is also Blackpink's entertainment. Ofcourse other entertainment can rap too and has an amazing rappers as well but this entertainment is mostly known for their trainees and artist's rapping skills cause they have an overwhelming charisma that can immediately and easily hits the audiences' hearts (they are cool and has swag)

Yep. YGE are known for their top tier artists. From the legendary groups of bigbang, 2ne1, winner, iKon and blackpink up to their solo artists. Unfortunately, a mismanagement from their company and scandals after scandals made them out of big3. But og kpop fans know that you can never go wrong with their caliber of talents. Though right now, yg artists are on for a full blown comeback, be it for closure or a refresh for longevity of their groups.

So far the 2021 version easily was the best fan-made guide that ever existed, but honestly tho when it comes to a fan-made guide there's NONE of those videos that could do the justice to properly representing the PINKS in the right way.
I mean those fan-made guides were pretty decent (especially for entertaining purposes) but after i watched it for multiples times each version always comes with some technical flaws like cringey/corny explanation, there's copyrighted clips, sometimes there'll be too much fandom's inside jokes and some of member's explanations weren't even that relevant. But then again it'd okay if you genuinely want to do one of those fan-made guide...

As trainees at YG Entertainment they were required to perform a solo, duet group songs and a dance routine monthly for evaluation. Bad performance you're gone. This is one of their group performances. This became famous inside the Kpop world. This TV show is hosted by JY Park CEO of JYP Entertainment who likely was at the first performance and requested this song for the show. The girls chose the song, did the arrangement, and Jennie (first singer) and Lisa (orange skirt) wrote the rap lyrics.
Start with their debut (August 2016) songs "Boombaya" and "Whistle". Then check their live performance at Coachella. They were the first Kpop girl group to perform at Coachella and is now one of the Top Twenty Performances in the 20 years of Coachella. Then some dance practice videos.
One thing, always check the number of views for each video!! 5 have over a billion views.
It's probably already been mentioned, but you guys should check out more of their live performances. You would probably be blown away because they sound super stable even when dancing. As you get further into your blackpink journey, you will be amazed at how caring, loving and humble these ladies are.

I found blackpink when I was looking for Miguel cover too. They did justice to Miguel song and now they are my girls especially lisa. The miguel version is like "we're meant to be baby girl" and BP version is like "we better be together period" lol.
You need to check out lisa solo "money" and LILI's film dance performance on her youtube channel. For blackpink songs, I suggest ddududu. I love that you picked up on how much training they must have had to be killing it live like this. They all auditioned and trained for 4-6 years to be able to debut as Blackpink. Lisa, the orange hair rapper, beat 3,999 people in her audition and became the first non-Korean trainee in her label at the time. Not only can she rap and sing, she is one of the best dancers in the industry. She's been dancing since 4 years old. Check out Money and Lalisa by Lisa. They're her solo songs from her solo debut last September. She's absolutely fire. She's the one that brought me into kpop :)

Her full real name is Park Chaeyoung, or commonly known as Rosé but other Blackpink members call her "Chaeng." Sometimes, she is also called "Chipmunk", "Foodsé", and "Pasta" She is korean but was born on February 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand and raised in Melbourne, Box Hill, Australia. As a result of living abroad, she became a fluent English speaker with an Aussie accent. She came from a wealthy family where her Dad and Sister are International Lawyers the reason why they lived in Australia. She audition because her dad ask her to and ended being the only one who passed among more than 700 people who auditioned. Rosé started her training after moving back to Seoul from Australia. She trained for 4 years and 2 months (May 2012). She is the third oldest member of the Group.
After more than 4 years of training she debuted as the main vocalist, and lead dancer of the biggest girl group called BLACKPINK.
TAKE NOTE: The American Record Labels and Korean Record Labels are completely different. In America, a label will scout you and pick you up as an artist. In Korea, you audition at a company in hope of being a trainee. If you pass and become a trainee, you train for years in sing/rapping and dancing and other things to debut. The company will then decide whether or not they’ll debut you in a group or as a solo artist. You debut with people you’ve been training with or you'll never debut at all. Blackpink started training together since they were 14-15 years old, trained for 4-10 years and would train from 12 pm to 12 am, and their hard work pays off 'cause they finally debuted in August 2016. Blackpink when signing contract in their company it states that they are forbidden in doing six (6) things: drinking, smoking, clubbing, driving, plastic surgery and dating.

BLACKPINK have donated 40M KRW (34,000 USD) for restoration of the highland and to help support the victims of Sokcho forest fire. When the wildfire occurred on the evening of the 4th, Blackpink said, "we sympathise with the pain of the residents of the Gangwon area," they also cancelled their comeback press conference meeting which was scheduled the next day. In Dec 2018 they were awarded prize money of 20M KRW (16,USD USD) by Elle Styles Awards, but being angels they are they donated the amount to low-income and single-parent household in South Korea. And they donated another worth 16,800 USD fruits for low income people to sell.

yes this is KPOP here the groups are so different and the rules that the idols should respect are so strict so here the groups can be composed with more than 7members( a very few of them are 4members) and each member has his own position from MAIN VOCALIST to LEAD VOCALIS and from MAIN RAPPER to LEAD RAPPER and from MAIN DANCER to LEAD DANCER and the LEADER as i said they have many strict rules to respect from their company and the companies mistreat the idols a lot from being hit to being deprived of food to have a beautiful body to being deprived of communication between idols also in front of camera and many dark things so KPOP is a simple music industry but still got a good sides too !!

Great reaction. Just a bit of background, if you aren't aware of BP's history. YG did an extensive search throughout Asia and Australia to identify the best teen performers for their Trainee Program. Auditioned 4,000 in Thailand, only Lisa was selected for the Trainee program. 700 in Australia, only Rose was selected. Something like 40 of the best were selected, and over a 6 year period they whittled it down to the 4 members of Blackpink. An extremely brutal and cold-hearted 6 year Trainee Program (Jennie's words), 14 hour days, 13 days training and then 1 day off. No dating allowed, sleep in company dorms, eat in company cafeteria. Each member often thought about quitting, but they triumphed. So, yeah, they worked hard BEFORE they debuted, and then were ready to take on the North Korean army, let alone the pop industry. BTW, Lisa started training in dance at the age of 3, competing seriously since the age of 6, winning competitions at 12, and selected by YG at 13. They look sweet (and really are), but they are also total savages and the best of the best to survive that program. BTW, they are just as great at dancing as singing and rapping. Check out their Dance Practice videos (one has over 1 billion views).
