I saw many videos to solve my problem which is wifi is not appearing in the list of Network & Internet .. tried to reset the device and reset factory also but no results .. any ideas
I too faced the same issue ! I am going to ask for replacement .
5 GHz network issue has been resolved. You have to reset the box & follow all set up process but now set the region as USA instead of india and connect the wifi 5ghz, it will connect. Dont open location & diagnose settings. After full setup you can open location. Intimate if issue will be resolved.

Bought a mi box 4k and I am not able to connect wifi (cable tv net work broad band) but able to connect mi box and tv with mobile data.
Same issue sometime it works well with WiFi ,but with mobile hotspot it always works best

I am flat to inform you finally I am finding the solution regards this issue and also inform you how to you solve this. I am purchased it from Flipkart. Flipkart have 10 days very good replacement policy. I am replace the box four time and understand the exact issue with mi box 4K. I suggest all of you that not to update the software which is coming at the time of setup. It is only software related issues. So don't panic if you update the software or not able to replace the box. I request to all of you that it is the only way to avoid this issue.

Hi bro... I have mibox 4k it says wifi is connected and no internet... When I reset the box it's connected to wifi and will work.. if o switchoff and switch on the box it will again show the same error... What I have to do

On Wifi section try to delete ur wifi name re-connect again. If nothing is happening then do factory reset.. Let me the update..

See Anil : on 2.4GHz network we don't face any issues regarding internet speed. Probably you can check once again with mi box as a single device in ur wifi network. If issue is same then go for reset the device once.
If above both solution doesn't work then, plz go ahead and replace the product. There might be hardware issue Also.

@@anilyadav-ly8dq Then it's not the middle box issue, it's interference issue ..you need to router closer to mi box.like if you keep mi box on drawing room then keep router in same room . Other check your mi box able to play 1080p video.if it is seamless then don't worry speed of internet.
And also internet speed varies time to time.

Mi box 4k, will show you all your 2.4 GHz & 5GHz WIFI networks. So I recommend you to search for network, keep your mi box near to wifi router. If nothing is working then reset your mi box. Hope your wifi visibility issue may resolve after these steps.

I also facing same issue. 5ghz network connected but no Internet showing. earlier my box running well on 5ghz network. I tried to connect through 5ghz hotspot mobile netwok & it connected & worked but through my router it not working. I am using D-link router.

@@MrKuldud i have honor 8x,u may use any mobile which support dual band wifi. By default hotspot configure with 2.4 Ghz, u may change it. Phone connected with box then it may not be hardware issue.
There are some same issues in MI BOX S
@@rinkibaimeena5832 thanks for reply. Actually mi box is China manufacturering. And Honor also.. In China they use 5.8GHz instead 5HGz. So may b in Honor phone some band are available similar to MI box.
That's why it was working.

My Mi Box 4k is working on 2.5ghz and when i switch to 5Ghz then it shows connected but no internet. Is it software issue or should i replace my device?
See Ratan, it's may b software issue. The same issue was raised with mi box s global version. In China, they don't have 5GHz instead they use 5.8GHz.. That is the reason we are getting this issue.

My Mi Box 4k, connected to my home WiFi on the day I setup. From next day I don’t see my WiFi name on the box to connect. Reset from both box and router didn’t help. In between one day again it’s connected but now again no. All other devices works well with same WiFi. Did I get any directive peace? Pls help what to do. Thanks
We all are facing this problem too..on this device. I think this is a hardware problem for this I replace the product 3 times but problem is not solved. Still not doesn't have any solution. I am sure right now that it's a software problem.

How u replaced your unit through flipkart or Mi. I purchased through mi.com & replacement service is very pathetic. No replacement feom home.
