  • Many sports and exercise associations recognise iron deficiency as being common among athletes. The typical practice to address iron deficiency is to include iron-rich foods or take an iron supplement.
On many occasions, iron deficiency is typically diagnosed following a single blood test, but this strategy can be overly simplistic when looking at athletes due to their individual demands, the type of exercise they perform, and their physical symptoms.
Researchers have found that iron levels can be increased, through a new novel intervention using probiotics, and without the need for iron supplementation.
During this webinar, we will explore the vital steps of iron absorption and consider the mechanistic action of probiotics as an intervention which have been found to increase iron levels significantly.
