One of the best games in the Megaman X series. And also one of the most special since this was one of the last games that was made for the SNES before it died out. By the mid to late 90s, the SNES was fading away. But the Megaman X series was one of the highlights of that era in video games.
Yeah I consider the SNES to be one of the best consoles ever made, pretty much in line with the PS1, if not better. I never considered the other consoles to come close to the SNES or the PS1.
Also, the only problem I had with X2 and X3 was the fact that the special weapons received from the bosses were pretty shittyb compared to X1. I'm not sure why they made them so weak. Idk if it's because some of the special weapons in X1 were kind of overpowered. Like the tornado weapon from Storm Eagle, which caused massive damage.
Higher res doesn't mean better. You always have to consider the system and what it's capable of. The developers of these games pushed the hardware and made them look as good as they possibly could and it shows. They made real art out of them.
Agreed. Plus they've aged a million times better than the first generation of 3d games. N64 and PS1 were great systems but those 3d games look pretty bad now unless you're going for that look.
I am Brazilian. Megaman X3 is my favorite game in the franchise, because it's complete, the hardest and with the most items. The only detail I have to say is that in the part before the final boss, he could have simply stopped, because the Golden Armor recharges its energy by itself. Overall, this channel is to be congratulated!
This game is incredibly hard. I had a very, very hard time beating it. Your gameplay helped me LOTS in finding pretty much everything I was looking for. THANK YOU!
I think that these are some of the hardest stage bosses if you don't have their weakness. Crush Crawfish and Neon Tiger come to mind. This last time that I played, Sigma's second form took me several tries to defeat. His projectiles inflict a lot of damage.
Exquisite's Dream To Chill Vile may have died in X1. But in X3, Dr. Doppler brought him back. In X8, Is either Sigma or someone else brought Vile back.
22:06 "MysteriousMaverick"? Come on Capcom, at first glance gamers instantly knew that was Vile. The whole blacked-out sprite gimmick almost never works in regards to making a "mystery character".
With the Gold Armor, you can stand still and restore your health. You can even fill the E-Tanks. It makes grinding for Health Pick-Ups completely pointless.
@@evanhaskel206 No. You get the Gold Armor during one of the Sigma stages. It's where the first large Spiked ball rolling down into the pit. You slight down the left side wall of that first pit. The only way to get the Gold Armor is if you never collected any of the Enhancement chips.
@MegaManX321 without a doubt, he doesn't let anyone see what that one capsule was for, even if he didn't use it and charges up his mega buster and fires it continuously without any enemies on the screen.
Pff people from the comment section only wants pros to play and insult a guy who cannot play that well, those idiots just want professionalism, nothing more. Seriously those people disgust me.😠 But great play through! I know you are not that good but you tried your best, that's all it counts.😊 Edit: I'm talking to the player.
I'll bet I know what inspired the Blizzard Buffalo character. Probably the real harsh winters in Buffalo. They get lots of blizzards there. That's probably where they got that from. I could be wrong.
I wonder how the Blazes X, or any Reploid was able to house Acid in their weapon units without Dissolving the inside of their Bodies!!!😨😰 It makes me nauseous thinking about it!
Thank you to make us memories the old games, if am not wrong, in this version, the controle was a hard, i dont know why, but thats why some ppl coplain, if you know the resion, no one would coplain.
Anyone notice that each new group of 8 Maverick Leaders became more deadly in each game? Seems to me that the 8 Maverick Leaders in this game and the one before it: Mega Man X2 had the ability to go into a Hyper Technique that was equally dangerous to X and Zero. X and Zero were up against some powerful enemies! And that's why they had to destroy Mavericks, Human lives were at stake because of the increasing amount of Maverick Crime involving Human workers being severely injured, or killed by Reploids.
A normal SNES would have choked on certain graphics in this game, like the rotating X on the title screen and the first Doppler robot. Good thing Capcom put their custom chip in for Megaman X2 and X3. BTW, is there a programming guide for the Capcom custom chip so one can make homebrew games that use it? PS. Would the X68000 be able to handle a conversion or remake of the Megaman X series?
@Kasigi03 I can explain why I did that, I remembered that if you take any of the red capsules then you WON'T get the gold armor that would of given you all 4 extra upgrades... so that's why I went for the Gold Armor
@LetsPlayTarosan What I meant to say was that you scrolled through the text so fast any onlookers like myself, would have no idea what that one capsule was. No biggie, keep playing!
Id say it has 2nd best OST. MMX 1 has the most iconic tracks. Mmx3 has good tracks but most will never forget flame mammoth or storm eagle over blizzard buffalo
heres a trick on crush crawfish if you use a tri thunder attack then immediately switch to buster and while his "invincible delay" is still active shoot him rapidly with buster and his health goes down quicker
I have the Meagman X anniversary collection, needless to say I was a bit disappointed that it came with the PS1 version of X3. I prefer the SNES version because that's the version I grew up on, but hey, the PS1 version is just as good though :)
Anyone who thinks Tarosan didn't play this well (and I think he did fine) should upload their own playthrough of this game. It would be interesting to see how well they do. Talk the talk...
Alex Palmer - I saw another lad (Canadian) who did a LP of this game on YT (the PS2 version though, which was equally challenging) and he got a 100% completion (Z-Saber and all, which Dr. Doppler sacrificed himself at the end instead of Zero jumping in).
2:14:38 I'm sorry to inform you, but "Caterkiller" is a trademark name under the Robonik Industry Ltd. You will receive a C&D if you continue to use that name.
Lmao Zero: Watch out X! There's an army of Mavericks in Doppler's lab ahead that he's modified into war machines!! I'm going to go ahead and scout around and do absolutely nothing to help you. X: Sounds good!
the long delay of the upgraded arm is terrible, if I'm not gonna obtain Z-saber, i rather not have the arm upgrade. Will miss out on several hearts, the helm part and golden armor, but i feel i still perform better without a split second of delay after firing the charged shot. besides, im still able to get double air dash and armor piece, so all and all still good. Also, it's more fun to have Z-saber without the arm upgrade since u can charge the Z-saber as fast as the charged shot without arm upgrade. After firing the first shot, then comes the killer Z-saber
One thing I do not undestand is why X has to get same upgrades like leg and armor enchancements again and again every time at the start of the new X game? And his health bar too? would he be so over powered with them at beginning? doubt it
According to Megaman X story, X originally was not developed for War, but to assist in Human works. Just like the previous Megaman. In order to fight against those war machine out there, X have to find those hidden upgrade capsules left by Dr Light
Constructive criticism alert: It looked like you struggled a bit, mostly because you rarely used the dash-jump combo. Well, at least you didn't use Strike Chain to beat Wheel Gator.

@@andrewjames4789 Same here. The SNES and PS1 will always have a special place in my heart.
@@andrewjames4789 Pretty much. They all had varying degrees of usefulness. Some were better than others.
even after all these years, Snes graphics are my favorite. Maybe they're not super high res or etc, but it gets the job done and always looks pretty.

LOL trying to fill those subtanks at the end. Looks frustrating...
