There's also Duskers, In Other Waters, Capsule, Hypnospace Outlaw, and Observation in the genre.
It's weird. I'm generally trying to step away from mechanical considerations in demarcating genres, but it feels like this, more than a lot of mechanics, ties pretty directly into aesthetics of play.
Hypnospace outlaw is great!

It's a bit of a stretch, but Cibele and Crosscode too.

I come back to Games As Lit after a while, and end up purchasing the subject game the moment I hear the premise. The Orwell series is not one to pass up
Try the sequel out. It plays with a lot more interesting philosophies and timely ideas.
I found the sequel worse. Shorter and limited access to the database

I've not played this game. I've never heard of it until now... But the first thing I would do is try to investigate who gave me my orders. I imagine the game doesn't allow that, but I'd try if it is an option.

I think I'll pass on this. This doesn't look like my cup of tea, but I can certainly see why others would enjoy it though!
