I was going for a 351 Cleveland in the 56 I had! Carburetor and HEI ignition. Not for speed, but durability and performance, with mo power, mo power!
"Check out this new, modern engine we are going to pair with an absolutely ancient transmission...."
Lol get a clue
I get it but wouldn't expect them to put a DCT or 8/10 speed in it.
Didn’t look as ancient s the original truck and frame
@Stupid Liberals where in the hell was I when shit went down?
Hello guys here watching in ksa from 🇵🇭
"Check out this new engine that will self-destruct on a regular basis". Has all the sustainability of an open on impact parachute!
Mig gun scene transition is sweet 👍
Another great show from POWERNATION! 👍👍👍
Were
Honestly still waiting for the rest of the Unbreakable series....
that frame is beautiful
I think the T5 was the OE in the mustangs, not the stout TKO, and it wasn't back to 79 either. HUGE difference there.
You are correct. 79 through early 83 used the srod. Late 83 through 93 used the T5. T5's were also used in Mustang v6's until 2010. The TKO was never a factory option.
LAST MEN STANDING. We are going to have to go back to the steam engine.
These techie frames, suspensions and engines are great but for many people the cost is beyond their reach. The total end cost is above the actual street value the vehicle reflects.
The old trucks have real steel bodies that aren't made from imported junk steel. The styles are great too. Trucks have become too generic looking, mass manufactured anymore. It's hard to tell some brands apart.
Can you image any modern pickup ever becoming a classic with all the endless plastic components and computers. Who is going to bother manufacturing these countless parts for these thin steel/aluminum bodied vehicles.
@@richardgalli7262 Exactly! That's why so many end up at the crusher! We've become a throw away society with everything we buy. Have you seen the videos of acres and acres of brand new cars and trucks that haven't been sold? They're just sitting, collecting dust and rusting away! Supposedly they can be bought for $125 -$150 a month payments, or bought outright for less than half price.
@@jamesdiehl8690 Essentially, we have expensive disposable automobiles.
@@richardgalli7262 Indeed! Almost everything is disposable anymore, including unwanted babies! 😔 😞😓😩
@@jamesdiehl8690 They believe a surgical procedure is more convenient than simply using the pill or condom or a IUD
I was just thinking about after market frames and how it would be nice have some standardization to it.
My dad was a machenic in the 70's and parts are so plentiful.
This is a must for any rebuild, it'll drive like a brand new car
How’s it going everyone, here from new zealand
Looked like they used copper never seize on the aluminum shocks. Nickle based never seize might be a better choice. Less chance of electrolytic corrosion.
For once.
I fully support this decision.
This swap is not only unexpected, but more than powerful enough. It's not a boring V8.. and they're even using a manual transmission. This is *actually* cool.
"It's not a boring V8" 🤨🤨 did I read that right
This is a nice frame. I prefer to buy a crown Victoria and install the suspension and drivetrain. It's so easy to swap, it's like ford did it on purpose.
@Stupid Liberals A crown vic comes with rack and pinion steering that maybe depending on mileage and the previous owner may need a couple of tie rods and a few bushings that will cost about $100. I can pick up a good crown vic for around 3k. I can use the entire suspension and drivetrain and hvac system and seats if I wish. I have a 56 f100 with this setup and a 55 f100 that I bought a 98 explorer with a 5.0 Awd that I put the 55 f100 on with very few modifications. If I need any parts, I can simply go to Ford or Autozone and get the parts. I'm not some keyboard warrior assuming anything or a lazy ass that too lazy to change a fews parts.
Wow , those tiny bearings with those shock's.
I like how there's no wiring harnesses for the 90 model pickup trucks new ones anyway
Frame is cool. V6 well you can't please everyone so there you are.
I couldn't help but laugh when the LMC guys were talking about how they are able to test fit their reproductions and even improve them. I've never had a LMC part fit right. You can hold them side by side and see differences.
the ford V6 they sell now is no joke with aftermarket turbos they can make 900HP all day and over 1000 with little effort if needed . it's the same engine in Hoonigan's hoonitruck except the Hoonitruck runs the Ecosport version of the same engine making 916 hp and 702 foot pounds of torque .think about it like this buy this as a crate engine get a set of headers and an aftermarket turbo and you have a 600 plus hp crate engine in your car or truck that weighs half what a V8 or iron block Japanese 6 would weigh
Huh I had no idea. I figured it would eventually suck like the 5.4. good info.
But I seriously doubt it'll outlast a V8 though.
Looks better than anything new that I've seen. Can't wait for the results.
I would rather see a warmed inline 6 than a, I can't even say it...
I felt this
Nice project
Very cool episode, do you think I can fit the f100 front suspension on my 92 Jaguar xj40 Prerunner project, usually people do the swap to f100...for a slammed street rod...💁🏼♀️🍖🐆
Nice video🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
That is a wicked new chassis. The original was too compromised.
Good luck finding parts for a Ford Big Block engine or a 1985 F350 Crew Cab at LMC.
Time for MOPAR 440
4:24 pretty sure those 2 bolts are upside down. Ok for mockup though
I drove those f150's with those eco boosts and it's too much power for those small trucks. Great engines.
@Adam Chapman I totally agree brother.
The first half of this video was okay (but still just an ad for the chassis builder). You lost respect with the engine choice, then it just became a long series of advertisements.
Pretty sure they were paid by ford to use the ecoboost
am i halucinating but did these guys not build a white 55 with a ecotech already
Wow, I just notice on the Facebook page, this video is 7 years old.
Building my Datsun wagon saved me from addiction.
hunter is that you?
@@LetsGoBrandon-FJB nope.
Always wanted to EcoBoost somethin
anyone know if that frame is a kit you just weld yourself of did they bend it all from scratch?
All the frames are made in house at J.W. Rod Garage. They come to you fully welded as shown here
@@mcbm22 How much ?
@@moo.johnference869 He said in the video the Frame and all the suspension parts were about $6k total (I honestly thought it would be much more) I am sure if you visited their website they may have some prices.
@@johntotten4872 I logged into there site . $14,000 would get me what they were showing in the vidio .
Thanks for your advice.
Everything was going so well and then - UGH!!! 7:57 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They owe me for a new screen and a drink.
Really. A ecoboost
Go to 3:47, it looks like Eric heard him say something unforgivable
Sure would be nice if they had stuff for first generation Dakotas
czcams.com/video/hcpt5Pc3ZVI/video.html
You're absolutely correct.
why anti seize on those bearings?. i dont get it
Dont agree with those lower shock mounts on the front, They need webbing.
Man I wish JWRG frames were still that cheap. Same frame if purchased today is $14k ☹️
Wow
Still waiting for more 4.9 stuff
LMC's packaging sucks. I had to reorder numerous parts because they came in damaged due to poor packaging. Bronco Graveyard has the best packaging I've ever seen, and never had a part come damaged from them
Ford F’ed up when they hung half the engine off the side of the other, instead of putting all their cylinders in a row like they should be.
Good luck 👍pickup truck 🛻
I'd rather have a supercarged Coyote and a ten speed automatic!
Godzilla swap one :D
6:50.. that work bench is now stuck
V6 economy👍....coolness and all round awesomeness 👎a straight 6 turbo would have suited my taste even a good ole flat head , spose u cant make everyone happy lo
That's all fine and dandy.. If you have the 💰 to purchase a brand new automobile and then put a old truck body on it. How fast do you need to go from street light to street light. My 56 is going back all stock 223 6 three speed with overdrive no hack job hear. And after you hotrod it. It will soon be out of stile with avery things going electric..
This truck should of got the 4.9
So now this isn't even a restomod, its a kit truck. Not the way some of us would have done this project. I guess it will work. It is, just a ford. Lmao.
#sabadodemotores #projetodegaragem
Olhem isso....
That chassis is way more then 6k
last 8 minutes of the video is commercials???? A little much.
What happened to kevin?
18:42
Young Joe Rogan builds trucks?
Lmc taking a dodge dash out and the guy saying they don't make as good as now.. and I'm like its a dodge dash they've never had a quality truck
Come on guys you already have 30k and your not even close to finishing
@Stupid Liberals I did not know that, sorry I miss spoke, you feel better now
Too bad LMC drops the ball on Bronco parts.
The way these 56 are going at the car shows kids today wouldn't now what a original 56 ever looked like so how are they going to now what you did to yours..
anywhere other 2020/21 you better off being
Should have just LS swapped it.
6 grand for frame and suspension? Nope.
It really is an amazing engine but why in the hell would you use it for this build? What a waste.
wayyyyy Better than ---- Motor Trend Channel ---- where u have to pay to watch some dudes hamering on old shit boxes
Hi
u first
Yes
Lmao bs 6 grand. Just the shocks and steering rack cost near that 😂😂😂
I don’t care what it’s got. it’s still not a v8. Never get that sound of a v8
EPIC FAIL!!! use the engine that came with truck from the factory people , there is nothing like the purr of a flathead V8 with headers
It never came with a flathead...it came with a Y block in 272, 292 or 312 displacements.
@@markanthony3275 i stand corrected , still it would be better to have a flathead V8 under the hood
The Ford slip and slide front end is junk.
wow 3rd
Lame
I put a thumbs down due to the fact that they actually didn't do a restoration on the truck.... All they did was show a new frame, put together a new suspension while putting it on the truck then show the engine+transmission parts and nothing of putting anything together or painting.... the most that was helpful was how to pressure test the coolant lines and thats about it. I honestly thought the behind the story was kinda or somewhat irrelevant only due to the fact that I was waiting for a full episode of getting your hands dirty and putting every thing together instead of "hey look at what we got. Its expensive so were just only going to show yall the little stuff of it."
They didnt even put the body on the new frame yet like wth. This video is a form of click here and well show you our resto build but its A CLICKBAIT
