The compositions in Super Metroid always had an amazing way of giving each area it's own flavor of imminent doom.
The Original score was composed by Kenji Yamamoto for Super Metroid and I bet if he’s still around, he’s in absolute awe about this! He’s legendary forever for his musical genius that inspired others to play his music! 🥰🥰🥰🔥

My first dip into the Metroid series was Fusion....then a bit later I got Prime.....then I got Samus Returns when it was released. Now Dread has cemented my love of the series and my desire to play Super Metroid.
Hearing this music fills me with such happiness
Imagine playing metroid for real just off to the side while they play the music for you lol

It was a big deal back when we were kids
As a long Metroid-fan, I'm totally astonished.
This had a lot of late 80's early 90's anime vibes. Had a similar sound to Dragonball and Fist of the North Star

Been listening to this quite often for a while now. This orchestra was really good, and the Ridley remix was killer!
Oh man I love this. Metroid is my most favorite franchise of all time....with Super Metroid being my favorite game of all time. I literally would leave my TV and snes on just to listen to the music play on an infinite loop. I love Lower Norfair section of the performance...it's one of my favorite songs in the game. The Ridley fight song was good too and that guitar was on point
...And the conclusion of this concert is outstanding...

He's also immensely out of place, it's so jarring whenever the guitar comes in.
And as a metalhead I don't usually mind an electric guitar.

6.57 - Panic Attack - Dream Theater
A lot of Super Metroid's tracks had super weird time signatures, absolutely incredible work by Minako Hamano
Remarkable Kenji Yamamoto compositions! Who would've dreamt that video game music would be so influential in every day pop culture that an entire ensemble of talented musicians would be paid to dedicate their valuable time to play these pieces?!! I have truely enjoyed this.
I was tingling the entire time. This is phenomenal!

This is just fantastic! Wow. So freaking amazing. This theme used to give me chills as a kid and now they have a orchestra doing it. I wish they made more amazing themes like this.
Interesting and distinctive that this medley is generally jauntier and livelier than most other Metroid arrangements, particularly the "Super Metroid Story" section at the start which invariably slams down the looming presence elsewhere.

Goddamn, this is beautiful. Super Nintendo music realized by an orchestra is always fantastic, and Metroid definitely benefits from it.
There were soundtracks from Metroid Prime. Most notably Magmoor Caverns and Phendrana Drifts. Then again I've only ever completed Super Metroid twice. Once on the Wii U and once on the New 3DS XL.

@@SpagDev Really? I grew up playing Fusion and the Prime trilogy (I own the original 2 GameCube version but not with Corruption) I never could pull off the "Early Space Jump Boots" sequence break. I wonder if you can still do it on the Wii? I'd have to dust off my Wii or Wii U and re-play the game in a bit...

Nintendo could have included this as an inclusion w/Metroid Dread just like Zelda had done w/Skyward Sword ten years ago on Zelda's 25th by including a CD which had 8 symphonic versions of 8 different songs
