Super Metroid - The Jungle Floor (Live Synth Cover)

My arrangement of the Brinstar Jungle Floor / Overgrowth theme from Super Metroid, performed live on my synthesizers + finger drumming controller.
Metroid is one of my favorite video game series and I'm super hyped for the just-announced Metroid Dread! :)

Technical details:
All sounds performed live simultaneously in one take (no pre-recorded material or overdubs).
Right hand:
- The choir sound is played on the Sequential Prophet XL.
- The percussive keyboard sound in the intro was also programmed on the Prophet XL but I'm controlling it from the Korg Microkey (The PXL can have 2 layers on different midi channels).
- The fuzzy synth sound was programmed on the Prophet 6, I'm controlling it from the Roli LUMI keyboard.
- The red monosynth is the Arturia Microbrute SE.
Left hand:
- The controller with the arcade buttons is a custom design that was built for me by the talented Matt Moldover.
- The mini keyboard on that controller is routed to Steinberg Retrologue (synth bass) and a layered kick sample.
- The arcade buttons are triggering various samples, some which I made specifically for this arrangement (the string stabs and arpeggios). I used Native Instruments Battery 4 to map all the samples.

@@adampope5107 It's funny you say that because Super Metroid was my first ever Metroid experience, so I didn't know what to expect. My initial impressions were "wtf is this? jump and shoot a little pea sized bullet? This is basic af". Then 8 hours later, I'm still playing and absolutely mind-blown by the steady progress and amazing world design. I literally went from "I'm going to return this game" in the first 30 minutes to "This is one of the greatest games of all time"

If you use part of the palm as a substitute for an whole finger to trigger the half step keys while playing the custom drum pads with the tips it's basically the same as you would have at least 15 fingers in total - it's that simple. That is one way to explain the mystery. The other way is revealing the whole name: GLASYS Fryderyk Amadeus van Bachhovenszt ;-)! Awesome as always, many thanks and all the best :-)!
