    Interesting video. I should start poking around with video I have a Z8 that is really overkill for photography and sits around a lot. This was an interesting video i didnt know it had dual ISO at 800 thanks for sharing your perspective. I look forward to your opinion of the 35mm 1.4.

    The Nikon footage looks so much better than sony's.
    Nikon got depth and character. Sony's footage just look straight out flat.

    One thing tho: afaik the z8 only shoots oversampled 4k60 in h265 10bit NLog, but to my knowledge the 4k60 NRAW is lineskipped i a way… i cant confirm it 100% as the 4.1k60 NRAW looks absolutely pristine, so its hard to tell. When i shot both on the same day with the family out i did. However an increased clarity in the h265 clips when i watched it on a big monitor…its absolutely minor, but might be important in lower light…

    Am having throuble to understand if the Z8 is just missing autofocus because it looks like 8 of 10 shots are not in focus. Is that the Z8 or your style? Like its an amazing boke but its just not sharp. Can you explain?

    Love the video, could you share how you expose your Nlog on the Z8? Esp since it doesn't have a light meter and the only way to gauge exposure is through histogram

    • @PeterDiBussolo
      @PeterDiBussolo  Před měsícem +1

      Might be a weird answer but I don’t use the histogram, never did. Just taught my eye on how to properly expose for shadows. Hope that answers your question.

    Hi Peter. Great video👏🏾. Im almost in the same boat. But i kept my sony a7s3. I have the z9 and i love it. Yes its big but the quality is impressive. My question is. Are you sure the 4.1 60p raw is oversampled? Ive been using 4k h265 60p oversampled. Yes raw are bigger files but if its oversampled too then im switching to raw.

    • @PeterDiBussolo
      @PeterDiBussolo  Před měsícem +1

      The 4.1k 24p is down sampled not 4K 60p. (From what I read)

      Find a video where they explain the lowlight on the z6iii and the dynamic range. Might be hard cuz that camera just came out

    • @jakilahmoulien9070
      @jakilahmoulien9070 Před měsícem

      z8 has better dynamic range and autofocus speed. z6iii may be slightly better in low light focusing but image quality wise z8 will produce more professional results.

    It’s hard to listen to what you’re saying. The fx3’s dual native iso starts at 12,800 and cleans right up. Also saying you have seen zero grain on the z8? Thats just a ludicrous statement. I wanted to take on board what you were saying but these broad out of the box hyperbole statements just were just a bit much.

    • @PeterDiBussolo
      @PeterDiBussolo  Před měsícem +3

      Long story short. There’s more usable iso’s on the z8 than the fx3.

    • @Shot_Geek
      @Shot_Geek Před měsícem

      @@PeterDiBussolo I understand what you’re saying but once you add a variable ND filter, ISO800 and 12,800 are cleaner than most/all of them and means you don’t need another iso other than them 2.

    Question: im probally going for a nikon z8 but the only thing holding me back with the Z8 is no dual recording function --> im afraid of card failure while filming a wedding or event :s
    Do you think this is a problem? How do you fix the dual recording issues? (A ninja ontop for backup is a solution but a heavy one)

    • @PeterDiBussolo
      @PeterDiBussolo  Před měsícem
