  • Here it is. Part 2 of 2 of the maddest urban adventure you're ever like to see, and this time things get messy.
We've already made it into Birmingham city centre by the skin of our teeth, now it's time to head north east into the highly secure wholesale market site, before delving deep into Birmingham's grimy underworld. Used needles, dead rats and endless streams of foul smelling slime litter our path as we snake northwards towards the M6 Motorway and the river Tame, where we realise that our job is most certainly not done..
Will we make it all the way over to the borough of Solihull without having to succumb to the tarmac? be sure to watch all 45 disease ridden minutes to find out.
Please give this video a like and a cheeky comment if you haven't already to show your appreciation for our efforts, and subscribe so you don't miss my next epic adventure!

Just thought I'd share this with you all. I was watching this video whilst on a particularly indulgent shit break at work. At the exact moment that Tom turned his light off in the long tunnel, the motion sensor lighting decided that I'd been on the bog too long and I was plunged into pitch black darkness. A whole different level of immersive viewing. I even had the smell of shit.

These are my favorite type of youtube videos. Not many cuts, no fake enthousiasm, no clickbait and the most important: 100% passion. Tom I love your content keep going!❤🌏

That's really heart warming that people stopped to make sure Ed wasn't having a bad day on the bridge.

The orange sludge wasn't feces, it was iron oxidizing bacterial slime. Pretty common to see it seeping out of the ground on riverbanks and in wells.

As a drainage engineer, it was quite exciting looking at all those urban river structures. 😅 Btw, the slimy stuff around the outlets is probably just a biofilm that is also present in sewage pipes. These outlets are usually not discharging actual raw sewage but rather a well-diluted mixture of sewage and rainwater. I wouldn't say they are entirely harmless but they are necessary evils in areas that still have a combined sewer system, as in case of a heavy rain event, the treatment plant simply doesn't have the capacity to handle all the excess water. These overflows are heavily monitored (or should be) and the aim is to reduce the number of these events but it is not so simple. Anyways, it is fascinating to see these Victorian structures still functioning today and the mission was top tier content as always!

Also, Ben definitely didn't fail IMO, he was still using a road that was illegal to use, you guys did that together a number of times. I think that makes it more than fair to consider a W.

The Hennessy drop-off from Ed is iconic and can't go overlooked

If you count Ben’s detour as a fail, you have to count all the bits you both walked on in the multi storey car parks, with that in mind… no fail.

amazing how basically 45 minutes of footage of two blokes wading through human shit can be so captivating

Walking the river with Ed throwing supplies felt distinctly like Half Life 2 Canals.

Tom, for me you're the peak of what youtube was thought to be when it was launched. A ramdom guy doing both epic and simple things while enjoying himself doing so and letting the world to enjoy it alongside you. Thank you very much.

"I don't like that mate... I'm too scared of that" says Tom about jumping down a drop, and then proceeds to do the most dangerous gymnastics I've ever seen over a spiked metal fence.

really interesting to see where the graffiti suddenly stops and then starts up again, making it clear sections where people just don't go.
