This guy is really aware and correct! We hate mess, I clean up other tables as well as mine, when I eat in at a big food court! We do love our reality and lifestyle shows, my creative mum loved the "cheap and nasty" shops and Ainsley Harriott was the sexiest man ever! Teen boys - School fights, lots of lifted chins, big words, threats and minimal violence - mate, how about a game of cricket! They can get worse if girls are watching! I prefer to stand up, be aware and have an opinion! Respect your grandmother, respect history, respect our soldiers, respect each other, count your blessings! 🤗🇦🇺💗👍

Go-lo is a discount variety store that yes is like poundland.
And yes I can confirm they sell a worse version of brand name chocolates that were meant for export markets where they wouldn't know the difference...a lot of these chocolates have Indonesian, Malaysian, Arabic and Chinese writing on them...they are made by Nestles and Cadbury but to a lower standard than those bought in a proper Australian supermarket or store.

I've lived in nearly every major city except for Perth and Hobart and I can honestly say that I cannot recall ever seeing a Go Lo, it would be like the 'Reject Shop'. Lol, I just googled it and there's 2 (Australia wide) in NSW, Tamworth and Casula...well there you go. I think most Aussies throw their 'food court' rubbish in the bins, although slobs and careless people are everywhere, so you'll occasionally see rubbish left on the tables, the cleaners are generally there all the time though but that's no excuse not to pick up after yourself.

Can confirm Go Lo Bluedog, as I’m in Tamworth. Only been there once. It’s like a “brand name” store like a supermarket, except everything is incredibly cheap. Like about a quarter of the price or less. I can vouch for Jordie on this. Twix “looks like twix”, but it ain’t. Aero guard looks like aero guard, but it ain’t. Dynamo washing detergent looks like Dynamo, but it ain’t. It’s basically cheap product “dressed up” to look exactly like quality product. I’m astounded how they get away with it.

A Toyota Hilux is a form of Ute'', the Aussie abbreviation for utility vehicle. The bed at the back is superior to a car boot for moving things in and out of it all day, especially dirty or larger things that aren't large enough for a full moving van or Commercial transport. Tradies and Farmers are the typical owners, and family members of tradies and farmers because they are surprisingly comfortable and useful for a car with only 2 seats and that needs a tarpaulin cover in the wet if you're carrying something.
I suspect it's a rite of passage for country teens to hang out in the flatbed of their mate's father's ute while their mate drives them into town for a night out or to pick up beers to go home with. There's a significant Venn Diagram overlap between farmers, tradies and bogans and Utes, but it's by no means a perfect circle.
The rest of it all is so funny, but I couldn't possibly comment. I never did work out how to be normal. I will say a random Asian eatery is bound to be be tastier and healthier than the fast food outlets. But I get cravings for the fast food option every now and then anyway.

Two of my high schools "alpha males" got into a scrap after school, so of course many many MANY teens turned up to watch the "epic throwdown". Just to be left disappointed when they both swung a fist, hit each other at the same time and knocked each other out. I still feel robbed to this day.

I’m 25 so my schooling was from 2003-2015 and yes school fights were common as hell. Both in primary and high school. I remember in year 7 I had this real close mate Rory and one day I was at the cafeteria in the line waiting and some kid comes up saying my name and says Rory’s in a fight and I’m think Rory? In a fight? No way. So I follow this kid to the year 7 area and there’s Rory and this kid going at it like crazy. I didn’t jump in because I was thinking “Rory handle ya shit.” But he got his ass handed to him and the kid had him on the ground just punching into him over and over, I let this go for a good 30s because I wanted Rory to get up and handle his shit but I quickly noticed he couldn’t fight to save himself. I step in told the kid that’s enough and then he wanted to fight me and I messed him up. End of story.

Hi Luxes are the top of the ute brands commonly used used on farms, by tradies, agricultural industrial mining and forestry companies etc if you have money to burn or a good tax accountant. Except theyre soooo expensive theres more of the cheaper rival brands bought these days. Particularly by tree changers who have recently bought a in a regional town or a small rural-fringe prickle farm block in case they might have get some potting mix or a bale of mulching straw or some layer mix for the chickens which all have names. He nailed it. Hilarious. 😂😂

G'day mate, I was on the bus yesterday and we pulled up to the Salisbury (train, bus) junction in Adelaide, then as the doors open i see outside on the platform (i'm sitting across from the middle door) these two girls around 15 - 17 years old are yelling abuse within a few meters of each other, the one who want's to get on the bus says something to the other who says 'oh yeah oh yeah' and punches her in the face and walks away, then comes the Big Mistake, the one who just got hit says , 'that was piss weak' and the other says 'oh yeah' runs up and grabs her hair, pulls her back and slams her in the face, then 3 G'friends of the puncher join in and start smashing this girl who's phone goes flying in the air about 3 meters and lands flat on a bench seat and does'nt move, all of a sudden there's 30 young kids watching, mostly young males, and nobody is trying to stop it while these girls are laying into this girl, i get up and yell out of the door "stop" at the top of my voice and 30 heads turn in my direction, i'm over 60 so not about to jump off the bus into 30 or so unpredictable teens, then another much younger concerned citizen runs up and pulls away the girl who got the kicking who somehow finds her phone then makes her way to the bus which pulls away as she's trying to get on, after that excitement as we are driving away I'm thinking wtf, and what are the chances of that flying phone landing dead flat on the bench and not moving a cm ,
and all the while the bus station is clean and tidy, not a Maccas load of rubbish in sight.....

Australian fathers used to give decent advice in years past. Once you get to school, if someone picks on you, throw the first punch as hard and as fast as you can. Doesn’t matter how big they are. Keep throwing them. If you “win”, no one will ever touch you again. And even if you lose, ditto. Bullies seek out the weak, not the ones willing to fight back.
By the same token, fathers gave their sons a warning. Never bully other kids, otherwise I will deal with you myself. It seemed to work OK, back in the day. Mind you, schools were much smaller then. Principals knew every parent, as did teachers.

Animal neglect and mistreatment make my blood boil too. I'd like to believe that most Australians treat their animal companions well these days, but realistically I'm quite certain many don't give their "pets" the quality of life they deserve as sentient creatures, or just discard them when the novelty has worn off. Very sad. Thanks for introducing me to this guy, I'll be subscribing and catch up with some of his material that I've missed, as well as looking into what you said at the start about him copping some flak recently over things he's said. He's impressively intelligent as well as funny.

We do a brand of tough love with our kids. When my elder son was five he was messing around in the lounge room that has a two metre drop if they go through it. I moved a table in front of it to prevent a long drop. He split his head on the table and started screaming. I walked in, told him to shut up, he wasn't dying, and quit bleeding over the bloody carpet. Went to clean it up to see if he'd done damage and said itbwas going to need stitching. He lifted the roof in A&E when he was being stitched up. Got 5 stitches.

Hiluxes are for hard work like tradies (tradesmen), but generally farm work. There are all kinds of birds that scavenge in cities, including food courts, but they are generally dispatched quickly. Outdoor places et more, of course. Bin chickens now, as well. (Ibis.) Most people here would clean up their stuff, although in a cafe where table are attended to, maybe not. We would make a neat pile on the table, though. However, outdoors, I would be guilty of feeding the birds intentionally! LOL That store is a local or maybe a state brand of cheap stores - like your Pound land. Kids just go on about buying the cheaper brands, but sometimes they are made in other countries and the flavours actually ARE different. Australians are profoundly sarcastic, too. And self-deprecating. Americans often just don't get it. Particularly that you only insult the people you like. Good and careful manners are reserved for strangers and those you hate.

I grew up with and still love the Irish, English, Scottish sense of humour. However, the poms are the masters of Irony. The way they accept defeat on a daily basis , just cracks me up. Aah yes, Australia: where mediocrity is regularly mistaken for excellence 😅 As for fights, I've only ever been in one, at high school in the 80s. Wrong place, wrong time, tough girl nearby who was feeling ropeable and needed to smash someone. I didn't grow up in a family that taught its kids how to fight. I had no idea what to do, so I just stood there and took it until she got it out of her system and her friends laughed their arses off. It was terrifying at the time but I learned to see the funny side of it later on 😁
