I live in Townsville, the vinegar stops the incredibly painfully sting, yes, you can die from box jellyfish stings and will be scared from the tentacles. Bottles of Vinegar are on all Australian beaches that are in jellyfish areas of the coast and have life guards who have Vinegar and many that don't have life guards have a box on or near the beach with Vinegar. Not all of Australia has box jellyfish they are manly in the top tropical area's.

I knew of the Dutch and the French landing on the West coast but never heard of the Swedes. If you look at the names of the land features around the south west you'll see a lot of French names. Cape Naturaliste, Geographe Bay are two that come to mind. There's more information on Wikipedia if you search "French Western Australia", apparently more than 260 places bear French names.

There is actually a cover of this song by a Sydney Hip Hop band called The Herd that's frankly bloody amazing... perhaps even better than the original... (wait...hear me out!) czcams.com/video/ns82tHhJOr0/video.html We have a music station here called Triple J that's big into supporting grassroots Aussie artists & also do this segment called "Like A Version", where bands/artists come in & play covers of other artists popular songs live in studio, often creatively re-worked in their own particular & unique style. The Herd, with their massive balls, chose to do this one... A GODDAMN BLOODY BEAST OF A SONG to try & cover. .....But boy oh boy did they deliver! & they did it with more justice & respect & care & heart than quite possibly anyone else could have. The re-work was recorded in 2006 with the full blessing & endorsement of John Schumann, the singer-songwriter who wrote the original poem for his band Redgum in 1983. He even features in the bands official album recording of the song, singing alongside the Hip Hop group (which he did for numerous live shows also). -------------- An article in The Sydney Morning Herald at the time said of Schumann; "He is delighted that The Herd, a politicised band who have rapped about the Tampa and the war in Iraq, have reinvented his song for a new generation. The Herd's version of Only 19 has already struck a chord, becoming one of the most requested songs on Triple J and being voted No. 18 on last year's Hottest 100 countdown. Band member, Tim Levinson, who raps under the name Urthboy, said many of The Herd's audience were not born when the song was originally released, but still responded to its message. "A lot of our audience members are fairly politically aware … [for them] war is an issue that should not be downplayed." Levinson said the band was determined the project should be historically accurate and had enlisted the help of Graham Walker, a research officer with the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia, to advise them on the making of the accompanying video clip ((which is what you just watched & is now usually the accompanying video for the original song also)). "We have our troops all over the place, and in the minds of young people Iraq is just as controversial as Vietnam was," Mr Walker said. "They understand it is people of their own age being sent to war." Schumann has performed the song with the band at numerous different venues around Australia including festivals such as Homebake. "[The Herd] have put the song in today's language and style," he said. "They have made it live again for a whole new generation of Australians". ------------- Personally, neither of these artists on their own are usually my cup of tea, but The Herd just straight up did such an incredible, chilling, clever, creative, heartfelt, respectful, & TRULY BEAUTIFUL job of such a legendary song that means so much to so many, & it shows. It isn't just that you know all the care they've taken with it & deep sense of pride they've put into it.... YOU CAN FEEL IT. This cover has turned into an Aussie classic all of its own. I Was Only 19 has always been haunting, & I feel like it's one of those songs that we should all hear & be haunted by... (LEST WE FORGET). The Herd just enabled it to haunt & be, well... heard in a way that resonates with, (& quite rightly haunts) an entire new generation & I love them for that. From the ANZACS to the artists (& beyond!), we're lucky to live in a country full of absolute bloody legends. ENJOY. (for better sound quality I'd recommend the actual "Like A Version" version for that: czcams.com/video/0yfuR5b-hBo/video.html but watching it with the clip is pretty good : ) P.S. Cheers for the videos mate. Loving your commentary.

The 1805 Battle of Trafalgar had a lot to do with it too. When the Royal Navy became the champion of the Seas , no other country could mount a challenge for 200 years. When the British first fleet arrived in Botany Bay to establish the first colony there in 1788, they found that it was a poor location as there was no freshwater stream. Just a day or so later, the French explorer La Perouse appeared at the mouth of the bay. The British had to sneak out of the bay a day or two later, past the French, to find a better spot just a few kilometres north in Port Jackson at Sydney Cove, what is now Sydney. La Perouse would leave letters to be sent back to France and eventually sail off, never to be seen again. The French expedition apparently wrecked on the South Pacific island of Vanikoro. There is now a suburb in Sydney on Botany Bay called La Perouse.

The exploding trees can be explained too. It is actually caused by what is called RODS OF GOD which is an alien technology - an energy weapon. It explains why the Californian and Australian bushfires back in 2019/20 would have sections completely wiped out by bushfires and sections where nothing happened. Think of a ray gun. Why were they targetted. Part of the war - the cabal wanted to move people into smart cities and they needed to destroy the infrastructure rurally and get rid of lots of animals. Like what they are trying to do right now with the food shortages - stop people from getting meat etc. it was all planned - all those bushfires were planned and not a natural event but the public at large haven't figured it out because they are still too dumbed down by the MK Ultra mind control given to them via the mass media which is a cabal run event. I haven't watched my TV programs for years now because I know it is subliminal programming. We lost a billion native wildlife in that last big fire. That is why our Prime Minister of the time (Scott Morrison) was trialled, found guilty and exec**uted in Feb 2023.

The history of Australia is completely wrong. So is your history. The history we have been fed by the elite has always been wrong. One such example is that Pompeii (while there was a volcanic eruption) was actually a man made mud flood to start off with. That is what the elite do every couple of hundred years - they have a mud flood and get rid of a large proportion of a population and then they start again with çabbage patch cloned babies' with world fairs where they advertise them as Incubator Babies. They want the world's human population to remain enslaved and dumbed down. They do things like take away free energy that our ancestors had and deny cures for cancers and deny knowledge of time travel. That sort of thing.

9:20 Take note that everything is about to change. The whole world is going to have a reset. The cabal/illuminati (secret societies run by Buckingham Palace, the Vatican, the White House) it was the largest criminal cartel in the world and your British Govt and our Aussie Govt are currently (in the background) being puppeted by the military working for the earth alliance until the people are ready for disclosures. There is a lot of mind control within the people and it will take a while to bring everything out into the open but the short story is we have been run worldwide by aliens (annunaki). Think Rothschilds with their elongated heads, think reptilian shapeshifters (royals) ... and a lot more will be coming out. One of your prime ministers was reptilian - Tony Blair.

You asked about the usual experience of dealing with government services. If you're unemployed and trying to get the dole (aka centrelink payment) it is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and it's designed to be that way. I was on the dole for a few months back in the early 90s when we had a recession and it was way cruisy. Not any more it isn't. They've really tightened those screws. Same story in the UK I'd assume. In recent years I've worked with unemployed disadvantaged migrants and they have a hell time negotiating the system. Otherwise, everything runs very smoothly as old mate from the US points out in this video. He gave examples from Victoria and Queensland motor registry offices and it's the same story here at Service NSW. He said it takes an hour, but that's because as a non-resident his case may be a bit more tricky and exotic. If you're doing something routine like car registration it's literally a minute or 2. You rock up to the office, which is uniformly spotless and airy and bright and welcoming, get greeted at the door, whisked to a PC terminal and it's all done in the time it takes to tap a few buttons and write your car's plate number. Or you can just do it online in a minute on their easy-to-use app. Likewise with paying tax, it's all prefilled for you if you're a regular employee. You just have to tap a few buttons, tick a box or 2 on the online form and it's done. I haven't had to even go to the tax office in years, decades really because it's all so easy to do online. Generally government services here, state or federal, are well run and focused on efficiency, improvement and best practice. Our attitude to government is different to the States. We expect government to be properly funded and to serve the people. Lack of faith in government is a huge factor in American decline really but we've managed to avoid that. We whinge about here we expect them to do their job.

I was on holiday in Japan this year and pretty much everything you can put in your mouth there is inexpensive and delicious....except the coffee.
