  • I bought my ponytail palm tree about 2 years ago. I was never a huge fan of the container that it came in. Today I am sharing with you the makeover I did with my palm, and hopefully giving you some inspo! Just changing the pot and adding a few accents can completely transform a plant and give it a whole new look!
    I work with plants all day long, so I figured I'd start sharing some tips and tricks for beginners! Ponytail palms are one of my favorite indoor plants. They are so easy to maintain, great for anyone who is unsure about caring for a plant. They also have a unique look that catches the eye. And they can fit in with many aesthetics.

    I have those rocks and same pot. I never was fond of ponytail palm until I saw them on sale for 1.99 in Kroger. the other day. After I brought it home, it grew on me and I love it now. Your arrangement is beautiful.

      I was the same way. Once I got it home and styled it, I loved it. And still have it in this pot with the rocks!

    I LOVE YOUR VIDEO❣{SMILE}
    Great Info and I appreciated watching you report yours,
    I was feeling a bit nervous about doing that part with ease; and after watching this, I know I can too :-)
    *Fun* *fact*, I learned that these plants can last for decades...even longer,within the right conditions.
    😊💚*🙏🏼 P.S. When mine arrive,
    I am going to name "HER"
    GL🌸RI🌞US, If it's a "HIM"...

    Does it take long to grow to this size? You mentioned 2 yrs?

    I just bought one today, and I only have east light, should they have direct sun or just light.

    • @CourtneyWithLove
      @CourtneyWithLove  Před 4 lety +1

      Mine is in the direct sun for half of the day, right in my kitchen window. But prior to that it was in my living room with indirect sunlight and it did perfectly fine there. My best advice is to try it in a spot for a week or two and see how it adapts.

    Hi Courtney, happy holidays ❤️ I love plants but find I have trouble with keeping palms inside, so this might be helpful especially knowing there is soil specifically for these types of plants. Hope you are well. Also totally unrelated but I'm like d*** Boston rob is kinda hot 😂

    What about the drainage ?

    • @CourtneyWithLove
      @CourtneyWithLove  Před 4 lety

      There is drainage on the bottom of the pot that can be opened or closed off. But because I only add in 1/4th cup of water every 2 weeks, drainage isn’t a issue!

      @@CourtneyWithLove is your ponytail palm still alive? Do you water it 1/4 a cup every 2 weeks Biafra winter?

    • @CourtneyWithLove
      @CourtneyWithLove  Před rokem

      Yes it is still alive! And no, during its growing season I water it once every 2 weeks. When not in grow season, I water it once every 4 weeks.
