Those are some insane reflexes
@@joerobert-qe9cn As a real Canucks fan it was 100% a goal for the Oilers. You can see it cross the line from a different camera angle and broadcast đČThey likely would have won the game and the series if it wasn't for that too but now they are likely done. Hell of a day idin'it? lolđ
@@therosewhispererno you canât, not a single anger showed it fully pass the line
And heeeere comes the bots. But seriously, what a recovery by Silov, dude actually stopping the oilers offense, respect
Oiler freak here. I think it was a goal but it didnât matter it was almost better not counting. It was some physics and luck to even be almost or not.
Better stats than Skinner and that's a 3rd string young guy here we're talking about but Skinner is not playing well this series so far.
Ok ,if the puck is about to cross on the bounce ,refs know this but don't want to listen to the Canuck whiners for the next 2 days.
@@jimedge8301 đ€«
@@jimedge8301the ironyâŠ
There's no way that went in. Didn't have enough time to cross the goal line from when it bounced off the ice. Crazy reflexes by Silovs.
Oh, it's possible it crossed the line but there's absolutely no way to truly tell and certainly no way to overturn the call
Watch the side view at 1:20. Thatâs a goal.
@@Pizzalover22-um1vwno.. thatâs not a goal. Weâre not seeing the same thing.
Definitely couldâve crossed but his glove blocked any view so obviously no goal
@@Pizzalover22-um1vwyou canât see it fully cross the line, only partially
I've replayed this a hundred times. Where is the Hronek penalty?
It was a penalty after the play it was called on Hronek
it was never a question of save or not, it was more if there was enough evidence to flip the call. had it been called a goal from the start, I think it would've stood as a goal. what an effort though, either way!
That is always the hard part...the original call matters!
Silovs was confident it was no goal
Wow, now that was totally insane, what a save.
Ć ilovs like a puma
The Corey Perry curse
Could mean a cup also Corey Perry won in 07 đ
@@archimedes2261 Except the last 4-5 seasons strongly override that lol. Every playoff team he has been on has ended up either losing in one of the rounds or losing the final.
So what..the curse was on vacation the second game? lol
@@maekklyn idk was it ??
@@17k.khrystianlol3 Didn't they lose the second game? Maybe I am lost...watch too many games and they blur together. If oilers win though you can hardly say its a curse...or they would have lost.
There should be a sensor within the net that can detect whether a puck is fully across or not. The side angle shows it would be over but it's hidden within the glove so...
Clearly a save
Van shoot a handful of shots and a few went in. Skinner canât make a save.
Been trynna tell yall, dude should absolutely be the backup over DeSmith next year
Hes probably their main starter going forward now.
@@Lucario_Amiibo Remember, at the beginning of last season Spencer Martin started off without a regulation loss in his first 10 games and people were saying the Canucks didn't need Demko anymore. Go look for him now. I can see Silovs taking over the number one slot if Demko proves too expensive to resign in two years but not before then.
What a save â€
I was surprised he got his glove on it after missing the redirected puck the first time
Unbelievable
Definitely a save. Totally the right call in my opinion. No way it completely went across the line if you time the puck's momentum to when Silovs pull it back with the glove.
I dont know folks, that glove basket is pretty big. It could have easily crossed the line while under the glove. I think he pulled a magic trick. Goes to prove that they need more cams....
Where? A camera in the glove?
@@mrquirky3626 no of course not, but you would think that by me they can and should put mini cameras in the goalpost facing the lines. It's 2024, there are cameras the size of pennies now.
I think it also definitely went in at the speed it was going, but when his glove covers it you canât technically prove it
That went in fs you can seek the left pixel of the puck and it crossed the line on 2 angle
You see what you want to see. đ glove blocks the view from every angle. In my opinion it bounced off the ice and he caught it in air on line. Itâs because the size of glove it looks like it goes in, but Iâd say it never crossed the line.
I was very clearly indecisive, they just had to give it all the time in the world to make sure it wasnt. If it was the canucks it wouldve been a 5 second decision.
There was that view from the side which was really close..probably kept looking at that.
Good save. He snagged it. Suck it coilers
Go back to your noodles and rice...
Great save
jfc Oilers are cursed to have dud goaltending
Regardless, when the entire Oilers team takes a backseat and just watches the first line play, they are going to have a tough time going deep. Coming from a realistic Oilers fan. Everyone goes quiet when they are needed to step up on that team.
Eleven goals in three games should be enough to win more than one of them. It's not the lack of scoring, but defense and goaltending that is letting them down.
@@my3dviews I've heard this song before.
@@my3dviews Except you have conceded more, which is 12. Doesn't matter getting 11x goals in 3x games cannot guarantee you a win like you make out, if your team is perfect at being imbalanced.
@@conorcahill5422 My point is that scoring isn't the Oilers problem. Defense and goaltending is.
Depth scoring usba huge oilers issue ...if they didnt have a decent powerplay they would be screwed ...they are a no depth one line team that doesnt get much help 5v5 beyond the top line â@my3dviews
Come on Canucks
Skinner NEEDS TO PLAY BETTER.ITS A 3RD STRINGER ON THE OTHER SIDE
Skinner is a 5th stringer
â€.
Yeah sure 44 shots and 41 saves or 28 shot shutout in playoffs is 3rd stringer. Yeah sure.
@@IamnotfromUSA don't know what to tell you then. He only played in 4 games in the regular season.
@@dazzleman y'all are right in that Silovs is a third stringer by role, but he hasn't played like a "third stringer" by quality
Silovs is a way better goalie, full stop.
they keep waving off icing calls and offsides when it helps the oil. betman out plz
its funny how oilers fans were pissed about the no goal call and yet they scored on the subsequent penalty anyways
Easy no goal
The ref was right there along the goal line and clearly saw it didn't completely go over the red line. Regardless, isn't it time they implement digital position tracking of the puck to avoid these situations? With todays technology it should have already happened. Anyway, it all worked out in the end and the Oilers scored on the PP from the hold.
I doubt that. These refs are frikkin blind.
Big Z
Everybody's talking about Florida, but I don't see anyone stopping the Oilers if they get past the Canucks. This is the most dangerous offence I've seen since probably the 80s oilers. Too bad for them they're having extreme difficulty against Vancouver, and could lose this series.
They won't get pass the Canucs. Canucs is the better team no matter how good C.M. and L.D. are
Nobody is talking about Fla. NYR is the team to beat in East.
They're insane on the offense, and solid on the defense as well, they just have a mess in net. Honestly I don't even blame skinner hes 25, only in his 2nd season realistically speaking he should be a 2nd/3rd string but Jack Campbell who got a 5yr/25mil is so bad in his time that he's unplayable outside of as an injury replacement. I can't see them realistically beating many of the contenders ie Panthers, Rangers, Stars and maybe even the Avs (who are in a similar situation although Giorgiev is a good bit better). It's a tough go at things but thats how it is, Edmonton have had great fortune with their wealth of offensive talent however I really can't see this team as favorites in any rounds without something changing a ton infront of the net.
Who knows maybe Pickard is going to be magic, probably not. I think they might hope that some other team decides to nuke their roster after a disappointing year and they can pick up a solid goalie in exchange for picks/prospects.
@@tonich70 Better team? No way..better goalie...oh ya. Goalie is Canucks only hope.
@@maekklynyes a better team lol Edmonton has one line
Love how the ref hasn't been calling any Canuck cross checks and then calls all the weak oiler cross checks. Ah, one day just maybe the refs will do their job.
They didnât call the high stick from McDavid on Hughes in the last game! It should have been a double minor.
you wouldn't have a game in the series without the missed double last game. quiet down about the refs, you were handed a game lmfao.

That's a goal. puck crosses at 1:20. Plus basic physics tells you that it had crossed in the time his glove grabbed it. Oh well.
Yeah, but you can;t call it a goal if you don't see the puck in the net.
@@stevenmohlmann9999 True. Maybe the NHL should start looking into goal line technology because on the counter argument, you can't fairly take a goal away just as much as you can't fairly give one.
@@Orange_Fever I agree, that goal-line technology would be good to have. However, I still think that even if the call on the ice was goal, the call should have been overturned. You can't just call a goal because of Physics, you need to have a way to show the puck completely over the line, be it actual footage or goal-line technology.
that angle shows it's in yes, but it doesn't mean it is. a slanted angle will always show something different than the overhead view... you can't physically see the puck cross the goal line despite where his glove is (yes i know it's in the net, but not fully). i agree it's no goal, but i wont deny that in other games, in other instances...goal line tech or even some sort of tech that tracks whether the puck crosses the goal line or not would really help... reviews can't be taking so damn long all the time just to tell if the puck crossed the line or not. it's well beyond infuriating
Thats not a clear angle. It wasnt really from a perfect perpendicular angle. Cam over the not is better angle
100% goal
Can you ever see the puck fully go over?
Canât see the puck across the line, no goal
1:09 looks like it but hey, goes both ways. Human error is fun and makes sports so great

The angle the puck was at. Itâs a goal but whatever. Insane call either way. Weâd need AI to calculate anything that wild.
You need definitive proof lol
Was clearly no goal but whatever deluded Oilers fanboy lol
Im not sure enough of the glove was over for it to be possible that it crossed. In ang case, I'll always defend the referee calling no goal on the ice if the goalie has the puck in his glove. Take it to review, and overturn the call if its clear the puck crossed. Consistency is all i want from calls in this situation. Dont care who the defending team is in this case
no, anyone unbiased would say it's not a goal. it wasn't even close, actually.
@@Lite-8 eh, it was fairly close. but not close enough

Clear goal from the side angle you can see the puck crossing the line @1:20.5 sec
Nope
It definitely crosses a bit you can see it but I am not sure it was all the way across.
@maekklyn yeah a piece definitely crossed, but the whole puck also clearly doesn't. So no goal & good call.
There were israelis dancing on that puck.
5 goal posts, this obvious goal called back...Draisaitl is getting Cross checked in the back as per Tocchets strategy...NO CALL'S???...But they call Drai for interfernce and Nurse for God knows what....this is nauseating to watch...Canucks BADLY OUTPLAYED in 2nd and 3rd period for the second consecutive game...Calling everything on Edmonton and nothing on Canucks is the only thing keeping them in the series....tocchets pre-series Whine fest seems to be working. This was gross.
One of the most annoying missed calls imo was when Silovs threw his stick and grabbed Derek Ryan's to not allow him to score.
Agreed this was a disgrace to NHL hockey. Everything was called in favour of Vancouver tonight. Even after the game ended McDavid gets cross checked in the face 5 seconds later. Refs should be ashamed of themselves.

Considering the trajectory of the puck and the moment Silovs catches it, there's a 99% it crossed the goal line. Very frustrating that 1% of uncertainty is enough to not overturn a call, but it is what it is.
The really need some type of technology to track the puck's exact location for these circumstances.
There's a 43% chance that was 68% bull3hit
