Honestly I don't even blame skinner hes 25, only in his 2nd season realistically speaking he should be a 2nd/3rd string but Jack Campbell who got a 5yr/25mil is so bad in his time that he's unplayable outside of as an injury replacement. I can't see them realistically beating many of the contenders ie Panthers, Rangers, Stars and maybe even the Avs (who are in a similar situation although Giorgiev is a good bit better). It's a tough go at things but thats how it is, Edmonton have had great fortune with their wealth of offensive talent however I really can't see this team as favorites in any rounds without something changing a ton infront of the net.
Who knows maybe Pickard is going to be magic, probably not. I think they might hope that some other team decides to nuke their roster after a disappointing year and they can pick up a solid goalie in exchange for picks/prospects.

Considering the trajectory of the puck and the moment Silovs catches it, there's a 99% it crossed the goal line. Very frustrating that 1% of uncertainty is enough to not overturn a call, but it is what it is.

They weren't supposed to beat Nashville.
No one gave them a chance against Edmonton.
Yet here we are....they beat Nashville in 6, and are winning a series against the supposed better team while playing their third string goalie.
