So does the speed engineering long tubes headers just connect straight to a car back exhaust or do I need extra pipe to connect them because I want to run catless
It’s a pain but I don’t really have any tips or tricks just got to keep screwing with it till you can get it aligned and back into its place. Wish I could help you more
That sounds crazy!!!🔥👊😎 Did you use Speed engineering clamps? And if you did how are they working out I have the full exhaust setup for my 5th gen ZL1 and I am worried about the clamps because I heard horror stories. Keep up the good work
I did use the clamps provided from Speed engineering and I haven’t had any issues! I plan to double check everything once I bring it back out of storage but that’s just to make sure everything is good to go for the spring/summer season 😎✊🏼
I wish I knew, I’m not sure about the Texas speed headers I only know that they won’t connect up to the stock headers! Good luck with the install though!
If I remember correctly, there was a section that was made to look like a X but they didn’t pass through each other if that makes sense. I’m not 100% sure as it’s been a while since I’ve seen the stock setup
@@MoatMotorsMedia I recently installed mine also from speed engineering & only used one o2 sensor & extention sounds very aggressive and love that it has active exhaust
This kit doesn’t bolt up to the stock headers. I’m not sure about how they fit up to other companies but I have speed engineerings 1 7/8th long tube headers with this x-pipe mid section! Hope this helps!
@@MoatMotorsMedia i’m confused so u ordered the multilayer steel gaskets speed engineering offered right? sorry for the questions it’s cus i’m thinking of returning the kooks and buying these speed enginerring ones since they’re more price friendly.
Yes you do get a check engine light when doing this kit, but you’ll need a tune anyways if you do the headers as well! I’m not sure if you’ll get one without the headers but be aware that this x-pipe kit does not bolt up to the stock headers
I get the mid section on Wednesday. So excited to get it installed!!!
Headers with stock performance exhaust is all you need
Can you show us how you connected the o2 sensor please please
The halo tunnel brace has a drop down for the 3” exhaust
I'm on my way with mine. Thanks in advance.
Wow! That sounds insane!!
Bro, my x pipe only has 3 Inserts for the o2 sensors. But we have 4 cat sensors on the 19 camaro ss. Did you ignore one sensor?
Beautiful Car Bro🥺
So does the speed engineering long tubes headers just connect straight to a car back exhaust or do I need extra pipe to connect them because I want to run catless
I have the long tubes with their x-pipe mid section which will connect to the stock axle back if you want to keep that with your valves
The dipstick man. Getting it back in, what did you guys do? I'm 5hours in on the dipstick then it's finished 😢
It’s a pain but I don’t really have any tips or tricks just got to keep screwing with it till you can get it aligned and back into its place. Wish I could help you more
Did you order the mid section from speed engineering themself or wild hammer?
I bought straight from speed engineering
Did you find a replacement brace for under the xpipe? Dont wanna loose that rigidity
Bmr actually makes a really nice one
Holy shit man!!!

My ss came with factory x pipe
Do you happen to know if this fits Texas speed headers without any fabrication? Had already put on the headers but not looking to do the whole thing.
I wish I knew, I’m not sure about the Texas speed headers I only know that they won’t connect up to the stock headers! Good luck with the install though!
Doesn’t the stock mid pipe include an x section already?
If I remember correctly, there was a section that was made to look like a X but they didn’t pass through each other if that makes sense. I’m not 100% sure as it’s been a while since I’ve seen the stock setup
You dident have to cut anything huh anytime you want you can just reconnect the stock exhaust and it will still pass warranty
I cut the stock npp section to keep the muffler since I only got the headers and x-pipe
@@MoatMotorsMediathank you
da gum that thing is loud
Did you have to use any exhaust sealant goop or anything like that for leaks? I’m debating going that route or maybe just getting some better clamps?
I didn’t use anything besides the clamps they provided but I haven’t had any issues
@@MoatMotorsMedia thanks brotha
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Did you have problems with fitting any o2 sensors?
No I didn’t have any issues, I bought the o2 extensions from them and only needed to use one, other then that they went in no problem

No I never had any lights come on

I planned on buying the BMR one but currently just don’t have one as the stock one doesn’t work with the aftermarket set up
@@MoatMotorsMedia Im about to be in the same boat, so running no brace is okay? You havent had any issues?
@@Cembruh yes, I haven’t had any issues
so basically this had npp stock exhaust with x pipe installed?
It has 1 7/8th long tube headers with the x-pipe mid section kit to the stock npp muffler in the back
Why The Hell Would You Keep The Suitcase On?
At the time that was just what we had to do, planning to upgrade the set up this coming spring to a Borla or Corse axle back!
How much was it for the whole thing
It was around $660 I believe
Is it loud in all the moods or does it get muffled in stealth ?? If so how quite does it get ?
I haven’t ever used the stealth but it does have different tones in each mode, hope this helps!
