I could never see you giving up your Savage while you still have both kidneys.
It's a really nice review man!
Your last mixed sounded awesome, there is no need to apologize.
Keeping ahold of an amp like this is a no-brainer! 🔥🔥 I absolutely love mine! It truly is something special!! 🤘💀
I have wanted this amp for a decade. So I was finally able to buy one brand new from Sweetwater. It was good but it didn’t blow me away. Way too smooth. My Powerball Mk1 was way nastier. Ended up trading the Savage for a VHT Pitbull Ultralead 120 with the matching 2x12 cab
@@TheCyberMantis and the Victor Smolski too
I felt that way about my Mesa Mark V until I played my ESP with EMG pickups and then it came alive. Same for Mezzabarba sounds great with YJM Fury pickups in my Fender Yngwie strat guitar is classic thrash in drop tunings.
Good to know the ENGL Savage is still one of your favorite amps but what one in your collection is you favorite and why Jarrod?
That's my dream amp lol, sounds amazing great playing
Wow, I never thought this one would be considered a " Keep it or Sell it" I remember this one as one of your favorites at one time!. I don't see this one going anywhere anytime soon though. It's such a Killer Amp in the Arsenal you have!
Yeah I would never consider selling this. I'm just putting them all through the process just make sure . Besides, revisiting these amps is really fun!
A hint for this amp. Turning the gain to 10 on crunch 2 and lead will slightly distort the eq and cause it to sound less dynamic and squishy. Just something I learned about the amp from Engl themselves. Anyways, fantastic video as always.
❤ Savage ❤ sounds Amazing 🔥🔥🔥 great playing. 👍👍👍
If you would have to choose between a Revv Generator 100P MkII and this ENGL, which one would you keep?
Great video. What an amp. Have you tried any of the Synergy modules -- specifically the ENGL Savage one?
Good God kids. Buy the real amp. The feel and vibe of an amp playing in person will never match yalls computer shit.
@@beatlejuice5951 Synergy modules are not software. They've nothing to do with a computer. They are the actual preamp of a particular amp that is used in conjunction with a power amp. Please, have at least some semblance of knowledge of what you are talking about before popping off.
I really like that Amp!!! I would like to see how it compares to an EVH 6L6.
I'd like to hear some tonex captures of this amp. Your captures are top-notch, I've always been a real amp guy for the most part, but I think would be interesting to Incorporate tonex in a switching system adding some new tones to my rig. having some quality captures available would make me consider buying tonex given the units affordability.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you like my captures. I will be doing captures for the ToneX very soon.
Killer amp. Love the riffs. Would love to hear you plays some beefed up hey Angel from Dio or anything Dio fit that matter. Just learned some Bible black from a heaven & Hell. Fun song. Played a majesty once & have not played anything comparable since. Thinking about a custom Kiesel & hoping it plays & feels as nice as that majesty played. Always appreciate your expertise, humor & riffs. Hoping to have an Engl in the shed soon. I’m between the fireball 100 & this one. Open to the Revv brand. Sounds like people like the stealth. I’m wanting that mean clarity that comes out on the bark at the moon riff. So cool.
Thanks so much for commenting and for the kind words. My custom Kiesel should be here by Tuesday. I can't wait.
I highly recommend the Revv mk3. Its awesome. Fat, beefy and aggressive, with tons of great features
Keep it! Because you love it!
Hi, thanks for all the videos you do, just wondering have you ever trief the 60 watt variant of this amp? If so, any thoughts or opinions? Once again cheers
Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Yes I have tried that version of the amplifier and I noticed very little if any difference regarding tone and feel. It's a great amp.
@@TONEWARSgearshow Thanks for that, appreciate the feed back. Its good to know that the 120 Video would be a decent representation of the 60. I've been wanting a fireball 100 for a couple of years but the 60 has gone on sale where I live (NZ) so I'm tempted to go up a bit for that. Cheers again.
Yeah! You busted-out The SPHYNX!
The Savage is great for some evil Phrygian chugging and riffing! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Hell yeah!! Love this amp. So rich and brutal sounding
Oh yeah, like that's gonna happen. Good one!
Lol
How many amps do you have and how can you afford to re-tube all of them?
How much and how often do you really enjoy playing it? Enough to keep it? Or not enough to keep it? Those are always the questions to ask regarding any amp
Good question. All I can say is, every time I play through it I love it. I wish I had more time to play through all of these amplifiers, but between shooting videos, editing, uploading and running my pressure washing business, I just don't have time for it the way I wish I did.
@@TONEWARSgearshow and your new Smoke Wars meat channel😂
@@Lesspaw41 haha I love my smoker.
That's a keep it 💯 no question
Revv generator mkiii 100p or evh stealth?
That is a tough one. The Revv is definitely going to be more feature oriented. The stealth is going to be a little bit more aggressive perit really comes down to what do you prefer. That said, if you like big fat beefy tones come out the Revv is the way to go. If you like super aggressive tones, go with the stealth.
@@TONEWARSgearshow found a revv used local for $1800
@@muleblues71 that's a great deal!
KEEP THE SAVAGE!!!! You will repent if you sell it!!! This a very versatile amp controlled MIDI wise! The clean is amazing! Crunch can deliver nice overdrives. Lead 2 (Channel 4) has an amazing distortion for rythm and even comes with the contour button mode for nice leads! Blind Guardian used such amps for their recordings! Top of the level!!!
Savage 120 is top tier metal tone
OH COME ON NOW!!! We know you're going to keep your favorite amp. You'd rather sell a kidney than part with this beast.
Yeah you're right, I will never sell this amplifier. It's amazing.
I'm putting all of them through this scenario though. It's a good excuse to revisit them and show how awesome they are once again.
@@TONEWARSgearshow I will never sell the stealth. No sound demo can convey how it feels to play. Like you’re shapimg a storm😂
Absolutely love it.
kEEP IT! It crushes! Better than the Stealth to me.
How about making some Kemper profiles!
I can definitely do that
Upload it to N.A.M - Neural Amp Modeler
Everyone knows that Engl ripped off Line 6s Angl model from the Helix. I really wish tube amp makers would come up with their own designs instead of ripping off great companies like line 6.
Lol
it will be savage if you sell it :) !!!
Sell that POS, set the Mark VII and make some ToneX files please!!!!
I'll be making a lot of tonex captures very soon
Jarrod , Yeah I think you should have posted this on April Fool's day , you are 25 days late my friend 📆 😆
Lol you are correct!
You really gotta find some new riffs to play in your videos man.
Well, if you ever change your mind, feel free to message me if you decide to sell it lol
I would immediately sell it to me for very cheap. This amp is just terrible at high gain, it does not have pepper at all. It is good for country music only. Therefore, you don't need it. Please sell it to me for cheap 😂
You are so right. Email me your address and I will send it to you for free. Thanks so much for taking this piece of garbage off of my hands. 😆😅🤣
That comment made my day lmfao
News spoiler….Jarrod keeps the Engl…😂
I dare you, I double dare you, No! I triple dare you to sell it ....!!!!
Haha NEVER!
@@TONEWARSgearshow You'd cry like a little girl...If you sold it..!!!!
Sell it to me
Haven’t watched a second of this yet and I already know this video is a joke!!! Ain’t no way you gonna sell it lmao
Sell it. There’s a crazy new amp coming closer to fall that is going to lay out the competition. And it’s not from
Engl
What is it?
sell it and buy my Mark IV
Keep Sell or Shove lmao
