The net was for the projections of Sarah and the “babyyyy” was Sarah’s voice, hence no1 on stage sang it.
I’m not going crazy right I saying that they didn’t have the net at all shows? I did 6 shows, 4 different locations, and I remember seeing it at Dublin, but not London!? In London I swear that they just had Sarah on both screens behind them? But I don’t know if I trust my own eyes 🤣 I just presumed it was due to arena sizing?
The ‘Baby’ is on track because it’s one of Sarah’s iconic lines which they decided to keep in the music mix backing track. There are more of these throughout the set.
Also the “cause baby” at the final chorus is Sarah’s line from all their live performances but wasn’t included on the official release.
I’m so glad some one else champions Nicola she is such a wonderful singer she stole the show in my view
Nicola is the best singer,her voice is strong and consistent, Nadine seems to shout too much

I love your comments... I flew from Chile to Manchester to see Girls Aloud live, it was a dream come true.
I love that they brought out the pink fans, they are such a great callback to the - in my opinion - most iconic performance of The Promise ever, at the Brit Awards (where they won it for best single, and Sarah's iconic "IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!" reaction to them winning it).
Also I wondered about the net as well for a second, but realized it's there for the projections of Sarah throughout her vocal bit.
The first time I’m seeing this performance and I got goosebumps with Sarah’s part and felt myself welling up 😢. Fantastic arrangement and honor to her memory.
I was at the front and when they show Sarah, you could see her face in the net, but only for some seconds
the sheet thing in front of the girls is so sarah can be projected onto them and the baby at the end is sarah singing her final adlib!

Nicola's was the stand out performance here - took composure to pull off her solo after the incredible Sarah momennt. Nicola has really improved as a singer/performer over the years - she's on par with Nadine I would say.
the visual of sarah during her walking primrose section was projected onto the net instead of the screen behind them, so they could look at her and still face the audience x
also the ‘baaaaabyyyy’ is sarah, which she added when they sang it live. love that they added it in to honour her
I think Nadine is knackered by the time is gets to The Promise as she undoubtedly has the harder parts and more parts than the rest of the girls throughout the whole tour - her voice has also deepened a lot and I wished they lowered the key of some of their songs to help Cheryl / Nadine and Kimberley

I miss sarah , she really was my favourite and I think her voice really made the band. It's a shame they didn't do 'loving kind', this song really was mostly Sarah, I think others would agree she featured heavily in that song
I have always loved this song, with it's homage to Motown / The Supremes, and it was great fun seeing you really getting into the choreo. The tribute to Sarah was so beautifully done, and I have to admit, it had me welling up. x
My friends and I flew from Brazil to the UK just to see them in Belfast and in Manchester and was so worth it! Their energy on this tour is incredible and the tributes to Sarah are so so so beautiful! I don’t even have enough words to describe what I felt during those moments.

I loved it i went last night nottingham night 2 first time ever seeing them live, i loved every minute of it, it was so beautiful its such a shame sarah wasnt there physically but spiritually she was there ❤️ couldnt stop dancing beautiful xxx

I haven’t been to the show sadly. I love them and Nicola has always been my favourite. I’ve watched all the clips on CZcams I can find. I have to say I’ve been impressed by Cheryls vocals, I’m no expert, but they seem to have improved with age. Kimberley has a lovely voice but, like you say, she seems to be forcing; in some videos it’s like she doesn’t have the breathing right. Nicola just sounds heavenly. Also a few clips lately she’s abandoned that daft short wafty white skirt, which she seemed to be trying to manage against the wind machine. She looks better without it in high waisted nicknacks ❤❤

The net in the middle is working as screening canvas for Sarah’s part, as the stage has a section in the middle with no screen.
I went to the Dublin and Manchester shows and I thought the tribute to Sarah was just beautiful.
Nadine was not flat she was the boost of the vocals and clearly the strongest singer
I cry every time I watch online snippets of the Girls Aloud concert featuring Sarah. Georgina, I would love to see your reaction to 'Vessel's' voice from Sleep Token. The best songs would be 'Take Me Back To Eden' and 'Ascensionism' (there are no expletives in their music and the lyrics are just out of this world). The group are anonymous as they want to be known for their music alone.

Ok the baby is sung by Sarah surely you would of known this it was always her that done that bit on their live performances I’m so glad they incorporated it.
I’ve seen them on 3 different tours and they always had a band so I was surprised to see they didn’t for this one but I wonder was it the only way they could incorporate Sarah’s vocals

Hi Georgina, did you notice that they changed the finale? On the first night in Dublin there were no screen in front of the girls. During Sarah’s part they turned their backs on the audience. Sarah was on the big screen. And then turning their front on the audience to finish the song 5:48
I’m sure the part at the front is there so Sarah could appear in front of them. I’ve seen at the beginning of the tour she was on the back screen and they turned around, think it’s a new addition

Evening Georgina its Callum Marriott i myself with my sister i headed to Nottingham Arena to see Girls Aloud - The Show Girls Aloud & I Just wanted to react to your last video on The Girls Aloud Tour , Yes Georgina I agree that the tour was all back tracks , but what i don 't agree on is that you said Girls Aloud Was not Singing LIVE they were miming , & i would like it was all Live Georgina
