    What up Pedro! Great video, very informative. Do you have any videos of using this this radar for finding fish, birds, life, etc? Looking to increase our odds for Tuna offshore!

      Unfortunately not. I haven’t really tried to use the dome radar to look for birds. We use it daily for navigating and monitoring weather systems. I do a lot of navigating at night. It does have a bird feature on it in the gain menu.
      Thank you for the support!! 👍

    Thank you for doing these videos, I really enjoy them - But; several of them are missing sound; most of the swordfish 101 and the Garmin playlist don't have voice, they have your music overlay, but no voice.

      Thank you for the support. I’m so sorry to hear that you are having an issue with my videos. Once I edit the videos, I watch them from start to finish to ensure that everything is good before I export it. I have not noticed an issue. Have you tried another device?

    Great video!!! I wish I had viewed it before I bought my 24" dome on my 27 Seahint but whatever. Thanks, I have installed a B175L on my 1243 vsw series. Do you have a video or know of any that can instruct me on how to adjust my unit to use this transducer to the maximum?

    • @pescatarianfishing
      @pescatarianfishing  Před 5 měsíci

      You can adjust the gain but that can really make your image rough with interference. Are you trying to use it for bottom fishing and mark on the sea floor? If so we have a video on the Garmin Shift feature in the Garmin Marine Electronics playlist that will walk you through how to use this feature. You set the range that you want to look at the the transducer will only focus on that area. We have a 2k on our boat and we can mark squid on the sword grounds in 1500ft.

    Will the radar show a AIS and DSC ALARM when all is connected by nmmi 2000?

    • @pescatarianfishing
      @pescatarianfishing  Před 2 měsíci

      Great question Joe. I am unsure about that one. I have my system connected with NEMA 2000 but I’m not sure about that one.

    This video could not be more timely. I just got a new boat with an open array Garmin radar. I learned two days ago that the radar image does not line up very well with the chartography. Isnt there an adjustment or offset to adjust ?

    • @pescatarianfishing
      @pescatarianfishing  Před 5 měsíci

      I would double check it when you are close to a fixed object. The chart is not precise. Meaning, channel markers won’t be in the exact spot that they are marked. The radar will actually pick it up where it actually is. I see this a lot in my charts. Some of the markers are not exactly where the chart places them. They won’t be that far off but as markers get serviced and/or hit by boaters, the new one might not be in the exact spot the old one was.

    • @MoviesSam
      @MoviesSam Před 5 měsíci

      @@pescatarianfishing - I agree on the markers but land should match up closely. It does not.

    • @pescatarianfishing
      @pescatarianfishing  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, the land should match up very closely. I have never seen that on a radar. I’m not sure what update you have on the units and the charts but I would start there and see if that fixes it. What the radar shows you is where is actually is and if the land on your charts is off, that shouldn’t be the case. When I drop the radar overlay on mine it lines up correctly with the land. If your u it’s are Garmin, you can set up your active captain app and update via the phone.
